About 8 months ago we were considering getting into the saltwater hobby and came across Aqua Life. The staff there is amazing and the amount of knowledge these people have is overwhelming. They offer not only the products, but the years of experience they have. I cant put a price tag on the information they have offered us. This store has a lot of staff, but sometimes can get extremely busy (but they are well worth the wait). But, they always try to acknowledge you are there and get to you as soon as possible. Also, I have needed some items that they do not stock and they have always been able to find it. They have walked us through the set up and stability of my Tanks (now 2 salt and 2 freshwater). They are there to make the sale,but not to sell what your tank is not ready for. I appreciate any business that is honest and works hard for my business. If you ever have questions and they are busy, in my opinion, its well worth the wait. I have found Joe & Kyle to be very knowledgeable and also 1 of there new guys Daniel is very capable to take care of you. If he doesnt have the answers he knows where to find them. They have an amazing crew. I should also add, I have found the prices to be fair. I have found some places may have 1 or 2 things cheaper than them, but overall its not typical. I am always looking for a deal and have been very happy with the prices as well. We have moved farther from the location, but will continue shopping here. I have other options, but have learned closer isnt always better. Especially when prices are similar. Its worth the drive. 10++ stars if I could.

This place was ok by way of fish and coral selection, but they are seriously lacking on the dry goods and equipment side. Also, the customer service here is pretty poor. I stood around waiting for help in front of a tank for 15 minutes, and NO ONE even asked if I needed help, and the store wasnt busy at all... Maybe it was a bad day, but all the staff looked like they didnt care that i was there.

I love this place. Very very friendly staff, great selection of freshwater fish, plants, inverts, and the same for saltwater. Prices are reasonable and the quality definitely shows. If I purchase anything else-ware its only because Im too impatient to have them order it for me - which they will very gladly do. Did I mention that they have a very helpful and friendly staff?

So everyone on here and people I talked to had great experience at this store i must have went on the wrong day or the wrong store. I walked in no hello or nothing. Was in there for at least 5 minutes no help whatsoever there was only me and one other customer in the store. I came all the way from south sac for nothing.

Helpful staff always ready to answer my dumb questions... you gotta learn somehow just glad its by these guys. They wont suggest selling you something if they dont think your tank is ready for it. Thanks for making sure Im not throwing my money away and most importantly that my wife isnt.

Man it was so great love the service I always come in ther allways come out with a great deal especially Jack, Chris one time I did not expect to buy anything but no I come out spending 200$ love it! I really enjoy this place and taking with everyone for 45 min. Only best store near us!

IMO this is the best place to get saltwater fish in the whole Sac area. Staff is always helpfull, and ready to awnser any questions on setting up and keeping fish. Have order from them online and found the same great service there 2!

Great store with friendly, caring, knowledgeable staff. I got a really fair deal on some nice tropical fish, expert advice and help with maintaining my 120-gallon tank. Sami was especially cool and professional.

Always something to find in the tanks, manager listens to his clients and orders accordingly. I said i had a particular breed of clownfish and wanted more. He ordered them and had them in a week or so later

My favorite fresh and saltwater aquarium supply store! Always friendly knowledgeable staff, and recently they have really stepped up the staffing and the wait times are much shorter to be helped!

Decent selection of livestock. Prices are quite good on some items, inflated on others. Dry goods prices are average for the hobby. Some staff members are knowledgeable, others, not so much.

Expect a crowded atmosphere with long waits. Only a couple of the staff are saltwater experts. I like how they do buybacks on fish. They will go the extra mile to give you a fair price.

Not a very big place, but the coral/frag selection is incredible And everybody is friendly and helpful. Oh, and their refrigerated marine food is always 20% off!
