We arrived at 7:00 pm. and told the wait was 25 minutes. We waited at the bar until 8:00 (they did give us free shots for our wait). When we were finally seated we ordered our meals since we had an hour to wait. At 8:40 we asked our buser if the food was almost up, the manager came and said hed get us another round of shots. We said no thank you, we have a movie to catch at 10 (I was wearing a birthday sash and crown) Long story short we asked for our food to go. The manager said the food would be 50% off and that it would be out in 2 minutes. We waited for 20, then left. When we got to the car my sister in law realized they had the birthday cake in the kitchen that they were suppose to surprise me with. She went back in and the manager ignored her and helped a couple who she already overheard saying...where is the hostess; we have been here for 10 minutes already. The manager came back up and said sorry the food would be up in 5 more minutes...she said no we dont want the food anymore, I just want the cake that you were suppose to surprise my sister in law with. He then told her she was of low class and he was to call the police on her for walking out on a bill. I walked in and took care of it saying it was okay, we were going to call the BBB on their business. He said he did not care that he was going to call the police because we walked out on a bill and that he has cameras watching us. I then said, "Good, then the BBB can see how we arrived here at 7:00 and are leaving at 10 with no food, therefore no transaction took place, they will also see my birthday sash & crown and that Cibos ruined my 22nd birthday. He then tossed the cake on the hostess stand and said, "Get out." -This was all done in a mild tone, no interruption to the restaurant.-

7/29/2016 Ive never had service worse than here. I left feeling completely insulted. Ive had better service at a McDonalds. Over priced for what we were served. We were seated at a table quickly and the server came around quickly as well. He failed to introduce himself (which isnt the worst thing in the world) and took our drink orders quickly (a pop and water with drinks decided on after getting food). He promised to come back with bread in a second. He came back about ten minutes later to take our food order (still no bread). Two minutes later we received our food, he said that hed be back with some freshly grated cheese and the bread came about two minutes later. He came around five minutes later with the check saying that he was about to be busy (it was a Friday night and it was busy but it wasnt anything that a server shouldnt have been able to handle). My friend told him we were actually looking to order dessert as well. He said okay let me know when you want to order and hurried away. We looked at our bill to see how long we had been there and found that from the time our order had been placed only twenty minutes had passed. We felt like they were trying to rush us out of the restaurant and ignored at the same time. He never asked us how anything was. I had to chase him down from a nearby table in order to place or dessert order. The only time that he told us no rush on the bill was after wed ordered dessert. Or entire meal only lasted about thirty five minutes. We never even got any extra cheese. Avoid this place like the plague. Horrible experience I wouldnt wish upon anyone.

Went here on a Saturday night for food and live music. It was easy to get a reservation and it was a festive local when we entered. Although the environment seemed to suggest one should dress up in buttoned shirts and slack or crisp jeans, many were very casual. Families brought their children, babies and the like which was fine, just made this upscale looking place feel more like a Ruby Tuesday environment. The recorded music played was excellent which made it feel festive. Edgar was the waiter who served the couple over at the next table. He was so stellar making recommendations, smiling, and checking in on the couple periodically. I wish I had him. Our waiter was bare bones. He made no recommendations, said very little, never checked in on us, and rushed us through each stage of the meal. It seemed like he did this for another couple in view whose table he served which made his service seem even worse in comparison with Edgar who was offering top flight service at the next table. Food was great. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Finally, we got there at 6:30 pm. They open at 5pm. The live band hadnt started playing any music at the time of our departure which was about 8:15 pm. It would have been nice had they started earlier.

We went back to Cibo last night for dinner, the sausage and polenta was so good that I am still thinking about it today. My husband had the zita -the large pasta with anchovies and chili peppers. Unique flavor for both of them and something that you can’t get just anywhere. It seems like they have really put some thought into their menu and it paid off. Happy hour was a blast. Started out pretty calm, but picked up steam as the night went on. I was surprised by the good prices and we also ended up getting some appetizers of shrimp in a salsa verde and then asked the bartender what he thought and we ended up with the polenta. Delicious! The drinks were beautiful and inventive, lavender martini is on the top of my list. Looking forward to more happy hours to come!

Ive never had service worse than this in my adult life. He even came out to our table with the bill saying that he was about to get busy and would need our table. Despite the fact we had only been there for twenty minutes and it wasnt that busy, even though it was last night, a Friday at about eight. We were never given a chance to order anything to drink more than water, our bread came after our pasta, which the olive oil dip that came with the bread got spilled all over the table and in my friends water, and he said he was going to bring cheese out for our pasta, which never happened, and we had to practically chase him down to order dessert, because he had already printed our bill without asking if we had wanted any. Ive never been so insulted in my life.

This place is fabulous and it all starts with the very distinguished and eloquent host, Mario. I absolutely felt like a 1st class patron the minute I entered the restaurant and in seconds I was offered the most delicious lavender martini..the appetizers that ensued were not only picture worthy but scrumptuous in every culinary sense! The jazz ensemble truly compliments the dining experience and the entree and dessert (tiramisu) that followed were top notch and actually everything that is offered is tempting and mouthwatering. I was profoundly impressed and a trip to Monterey Bay area is NOT complete unless one makes it a point and a destination to visit Cibos! GRAZIE!!! with Amour! 10 stars
