We ate at the Silver Dollar. The food was good. Not great, but pretty good. The service was horrible. Our waitress was Melissa. She spent more time socializing at the Bar. When we asked for refills on our sodas, she rolled her eyes and never got us refills despite us asking several times. Where we were sitting we could see the kitchen as it was an open view. We saw our food placed on the rack to be brought out. After several minutes of her not noticing (too busy being social at the bar), she went to the kitchen and ignored our food, and starting eating from a plate back there. After several more minutes, she finally brought or food which was no longer hot. Luke warm describes it best. Still no drink refills. Our nephew (toddler) had dropped a fork, we asked for a new fork. When she didnt bring us a fork, we had to go find her and ask her. Its hard to eat without a fork. She had a very bad attitute and made a sarcastic remark to my sister. When she finally brought over a fork she made a point of bringing about 5 sets, making another sarcastic comment about us asking for ONE extra fork. While sitting at our table, my sisters were complaining about her service and she walked up to our table and demanded to know if we had a problem and if we did we could leave as she didnt need our patronage. We asked her to leave so we could finish eating but she just kept demanding to know if we had a problem. Unfortunately, an argument started between her and my sisters. I ended up deciding that it was enough had my sisters leave and waited to pay for the food. Unfortunately, I had a bit of a wait because she decided to chat on the phone for several minutes instead of ringing me up. And of course, in front of me, in my hearing, she was bad-mouthing my sisters. All in all, it was very bad service. The waitress made a point of telling me repeatedly that she was "in" with the owner and that we could complain about her attitude and she didnt care. All I can say, is she got what she wanted. I will no longer patronize the Silver Dollar.

I have always liked the food here, too bad that you have to deal with the horrible service to get it though. The bartenders are always paying attention/chatting with their friends before serving other patrons. There have been times that I have had to stand on the chair legs to wave one of them down because they are over at the corner of the bar with their backs turned talking to their friends. The food always made up for it though. I think the defining (and probably last) moment was just this last weekend. There was a new bartender who REFUSED service to military members because they showed their military ID and not their State ID. She stated "we dont accept that ID here, we got in trouble for taking it".... REALLY? Its a FEDERAL ID. Fed trumps state every time, not to mention that its a military member, who was no where NEAR 21, and hasnt been for 10+ years. I will NOT be going back here, and I will definitely make sure that people know how they treat our military members, especially since we are so close to a base.

Silver Dollar is absolutely amazing. My husband says they have the best ribs anywhere with the meat literally falling off the bone. The wait staff is amazing. Beautiful ladies with hearts of gold. The building is in Historic Marysville and was an old brothel. The history is amazing and if you get the chance to talk to the owners son, he knows some great stories about it! Dont let it being haunted stop you from going in. Jukebox blasts some great country old and new especially energetic. So much to look at. I have some great pics I may add here later. The one downside... why I give 4 instead of 5 stars... ( I quit eating meat a few years ago, and while they make a great grilled cheese for me, and I love their salad bar, I would like an item or two to choose from on the menu. PLEASE Silver Dollar, get a good quality Veggie Burger to throw on for those of us that love your restaurant but dont eat meat anymore!) Please?

This was our first time eating at the Silver Dollar and we were not left dissapointed!! The food was amazing and the service was Great!! Our servers name was Melissa, she was friendly and the food was really good!! Unfortunately, while we were there, some extremely uneducated women (the nicest way to describe them) started cussing and threating to beat the server up because she didnt hear them when asked for a fork. When they became rude and disrespectful, they were asked to leave, and that is when they became really belligerent. Sadly, two of the ladies had children in their arms thruout the whole thing, and had to be threatened with the police just to get them to pay their bill and leave. Despite, having to watch that poor server deal with people like that, we will definately be going back to The Siler Dollar, there food just cant be beat!!

The food was mostly ok, nothing stood out as great but the shrimp scampi was awful. The items served to us were incomplete according to the menu. As with the magority of the comments left the service was under par (blamed on being short staffed). For the quality and quantity of food they are overpriced. They are in a niche that is bound for bankruptcy. They are to expensive for the average night out, however no where near good enough for those special ocaions Id be willing to spend this much on. Sadly I think this is their only chance with me as I see no reason to return. I gave them 3 stars because it was a clean decent atmosphere, and no one got ill from the food. All in all I say pass it by.

The first time that I ate there was December 28, 2007. I had their Buffalo Burger. My drink was a Darth Vader. I had regular fries and a salad. I dont recall my servers name, but it was a woman. I had excellent service which mirrored my excellent meal. Coincidentally, that was the same night that there was a terrible storm and the power got knocked out for several hours. Even with the storm, it was still one of the best nights of my life. I continue to go there often, get the exact same meal to bring back the memories, and get the exact same service.

Been stopping into the Silver Dollar for years for a lunch or cold beer. My daughter and I were heading thru Marysville last week and she needed a rest room so I stopped at the Silver Dollar for her to just in for a quick use. I just found out that they made her buy a drink before she could use the restroom. Can you believe the insensitivity of that Bar Tender? I will never spend another dollar at the silver dollar and will tell this story to my friends in Yuba City & Marysville. Too bad this established bar has lost its local heart. . . . . .

Driving back from Lake oriville only for our group to find this litttle gem of a place, the waiter was incredibly freindly, personal, and happy to serve. The food was very good for typical bar and steakhouse grub. Although a bit pricey the overall experience was fantastic and fun. I would recommend anyone passing though this town to check this place out. The moment we walked in we were greeted with a welcoming smile and an inviting atmosphere.
