I remembered visiting Huntington Beach, because this is the only beach that is way closer from Anaheim. It took us an hour and 50 minutes to drive all the way to Huntington Beach, so that way it wouldnt be so trafficky. I showed my aunt where we can find plenty of free parking across the street from the beach, instead of paying for parking , because its very expensive and we had no trouble finding a parking space. I helped my aunt and my cousins carry the ice chests, because it has all the food and drinks inside. We used the crosswalk to walk safely to the beach, and we found a spot closer to the ocean so we can feel the ocean breeze. When I stepped into the water, it was very cold like frozen ice cubes , I even swam through the waves , because the waves are very powerful. And finally, I also took some pictures of the ocean, because I saw some boats sailing out there, an airplane with a banner, some beach patrol helicopters, and of course, some lifeguard towers where lifeguard people do their duties. We all had fun out there, and it was very relaxing, and we all stayed until sundown appears. I hope we enjoyed staying at Huntington Beach, because it has been a fun day for all of us. Will be back real soon!

Part of this vote is based on nostalgia, but this has always been our familys go-to beach. Its not usually very crowded, its easy to get to, and there are small shops along the parking lot. Unlike some other beaches Ive visited, this beach is kept clean and neat. I have seen the lifegaurds swim out to check people, and even though I dont think these people were in danger, it is good to see the lifegaurds assist them (better to be too cautious than the opposite). I also enjoy using the fire pits after a day of swimming and tanning. Nothing tastes quite like hot dogs roasted over fire, with marshmallows for dessert. Its got a lot of memories for me, and its well worth your time.

I really love this beach. I really love to see the water, the beach, the seagulls, the palm trees and the waves. I love how the water is nice and warm. I love to collect sand and shells. I have a really good idea! I really think the builders should make a big reef thats just like a natural reef in the shallow waters of Huntington Beach State Park. I really think they should put lots of fish, lots of crabs, lots of starfish, lots of sea anemones, and more that are not dangerous in the reef. Could somebody try to make this happen? Huntington State Beach includes a two mile stretch of beach property along Pacific Coast Highway in the City of Huntington Beach, California. The beach extends from the Santa Ana River bordering the City of Newport Beach all the way to Beach Boulevard. Huntington State Beach has 200 fire pits, picnic tables, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and a cement bicycle and jogging trail. Activities also include surf fishing, surfing, and skating. There is no overnight camping.

Pretty cool beach, if youre into beaches. Just remember to bring plenty of sunscreen and at least a towel (chairs and an umbrella are recommended). Parking isnt great with hourly parking on the street (the meters take credit cards), and a $15 daily charge for the state owned parking lots that are closer to the beach. If youre going to park for the day, you cant beat the proximity of the state owned and operated lots. Loved the serious waves! We had a blast!

Huntington Beach is a beautiful and well maintained state park with an expansive sandy beach. It is a wonderful place to spend the day biking, barbeque-ing, playing, and swimming. If you are willing to come super early, it is one of the few places you can reserve a fire ring to spend a memorable evening. They are serious about clearing out at 10pm sharp. Parking is $15 as of 09/10/16.

I used to come here as a kid. 30 years later it feels like the same fun place with more human neglect and crowds added. Its a typical active Cali beach, but its hard not to compare to some of the clear water and tropical beaches I have visited. And FYI, the parking lot is a long way from the water compared to some other beaches. Fire pits are limited so if you want one, be an earlt bird.

Whether you are inverted Beverly Hillbilly still looking for bubbling crude or just a private citizen looking for sanctuary, this place has got you covered. Sun, sand, and surf are something all people can agree on. Great place to look for loose change, hip implants, and pirate booty. All we found were some zinc alloy rivets, but we still had the time of our lives.

My go-to beach. Usually come here for bonfires. Beach with most pits that I know. Pits use wood instead of coals(Newport beaches), which is better because wood can biologically get broken down easier and coal just leaves a mess. Clean water, unbroken shells. Popular surf beach. Only gets crowded for surfing events. Other than that doesnt really get crowded.

I love tje smooth sand, and you can actually swim nicely too, like for kids, clean and aafe, yes you do have to arrive early to get a fire pit spot, but there are so many, I guess people say there ia no parking just because they dont get a closer spot to their prefer spot, but the parking lot stretches along the beach. I nice I like to ride my scooter

Its no wonder everyone loves Huntington: its a classic staple of California, is well kept up, and is an absolute blast, whether out with friends, family, on a date, or on your own. Word to the wise, though: bring sandals or some sort of footwear to the beach, because the sand between the water and the parking lot can get hot enough to burn.

Probably one of the best beaches Ive been to in California. It was rather crowded on the weekend but not so much that it was a hassle. Parking would have been a nightmare if we didnt go early enough. Beach is clean, decent waves, and not an unfriendly person around it seems. Lifeguards are helpful and friendly as well.

The beach is one of my favorite spots to go to at anytime of the day/night! This one is no exception! Gorgeous beach that is always clean and well-maintained. We love coming here for bonfires on the beach. The only real downsides are that they close at 10 and also parking is $15(ouch!)!

As of Aug/2016, Parking fee is $15 for the day. Also, Parking Meters are $1.75 per hour along Pacific Coast Highway (if meters buttons dont work after inserting credit card, just wait and itll charge for one hour. Then swipe the card again. Wait. Repeat for every hour you need).

As much as I love L.A., its really places like here that tourists come for. Its got its flaws to be sure, but its incredibly beautiful and chill, with plenty to do. Cleaner than Santa Monica, and without the hustle of Venice or the bougie feel of Newport. I-mothafuckin-deal.

This is a great beach! It is always clean and there are lots of things to do. This is an awesome beach to go to if you want to have a bonfire, swim, boogie-board, and/or play volleyball. There are also a lot of shops/restaurants around if you want to grab a bite to eat.
