Really was hoping for a lot more from the new Roxy besides a boring remodel and an even more boring hipster menu. Ive been going to Roxy for 20+ yrs and always knew my family or myself was going to get a somewhat healthy and delicious meal, which in turn is actually getting hard to find these days. The new menu has maybe a few items that used to be on the original menu but the other new items are just a copy of what everyone else is do and Roxy isnt doing it as well. We would be open to trying it again if they brought the old menu back, otherwise we will just go to one of the other 20 trendy places in Encinitas to get pretty much the same thing.

I love the food. I was in Encinitas when Roxy opened as an ice cream parlor. The expansion was a great addition to north county with incredibly good vegetarian choices. We moved away from Encinitas in the late 90s, but make a point to be back for lunch or dinner when we can. My only complaint is the service. The servers are usually very young, very inexperienced, especially for lunch. It is hugely disappointing to go to a place we love and have to deal with such poor service. Each time we go now, we hope that it will be better, but often when we have finished our meal, we talk about trying other places..

Restaurant has been in Encinitas for over 35 years and is in the heart of downtown. Great location to sit on the patio. Absolutely delicious and great prices. They also have live music on Thursday and very relax atmosphere. Great casual dinner spot for a date with reasonable prices and satisfying portions. My favorites are the chik chik sandwich, falafel burger, artichoke sandwich with avocado, and of course kalua krunch ice cream to top it off. I would recommend to anyone locals or tourists!

Ive been a patron of Roxys since I was a little girl enjoying the healthy food and back then, ice cream from the counter. The newly remodeled Roxy is hip and retro and still has delicious food (especially the brunch!) and incredible dessert. The booths are cozy and the live entertainment is a treat. We got lucky and happened to go when Just Syd was playing. She is a beautiful singer and songwriter. We were blessed to be in her audience. Dont miss this gem!

Ive eaten their food from the del Mar fair for years but never had been to the restaurant. I loooove their falafel burger so I ordered that and some roasted parsnips. The food was great but I was unprepared for the atmosphere. It was way more upscale and fancy than I was expecting. I was definitely underdressed. The live music playing was more of a small concert rather than entertaining table side music. Pretty cool spot.

Slow service, less than mediocre food. The place was half empty and it took 30 minutes to get our order in. They apoligized that it was "very busy". I was very disapointed in the fish tacos and the chicken tacos - the corn tortilla was terrible and both fish and chicken overcooked. The pizza was average and the fries bland. Sorry it was our pick for our one night in Encinitas.

Love the live jazz and the vests and suspenders uniforms♡ the staff was awesome and highly recommend the carpaccio and beef stroganoff and pork chop! And our friends recommended the Mac and cheese! The cocktails are gorgeous and sexy! Definitely a must see restaurant! And who doesnt love a powder room! A chandelier too? Loving the ladies room! Much aloha and mahalos ♡

The falafel burger definitely deserves its award as best burger, but it is filling. The pizzas are fresh with tangy sauce and plenty of cheese to please. The Golden Surf (?) Smoothie was the perfect blend of tart, fresh-squeezed OJ and sweet bananas & strawberry. I was so glad a local pointed this place out to us!

Great place as they have renovated it and made it an all new experience. I give 4 stars because even though they added live music (a definite plus), the room is very loud and the music does not carry well over all the din of conversation going on inside

I used to recommend the ice cream here all the time. I stopped in yesterday and it did not taste the same. It was flavorless. I highly recommend the food especially if you are trying to entertain a vegetarian, but the Ice Cream was a real let down.

So good! Came in for the lunch specials. Pesto pasta was delicious, as was the turkey burger. Even had leftovers even though it was less than $10 per plate. Service was excellent, not crowded, will come back again!

As one of the other reviewers also mentioned, youve got to try their falafel burger. They also serve some great smoothies to go along with your meal. The staff are nice and helpful. And, very reasonable prices too.

Beautiful new room. The catch of the day was an awesome local halibut with homemade curry, absolutely delicious. Had a nice and fresh entree salad too. Everything was great!

Amazing menu and great service. The drink menu is very good as well. This is a great spot at all times of the week but particularly mid week when parking is much easier.

Good food but slightly overpriced for the quantity. Enjoyed the pork chop, but again was slightly costly per portion.

The food is great, and so far, the live music has been great. 3 for 3 on the entertainment. A fresh act everyday.

It used to be my all time fave but they moved away from what made them great. I am sad that nachos are gone.

The Roxy has food and live music; not your typical diner.
