I have A little hat, glasses and a slightly undersized plaid shirt I now have songs with lots of Ooohhs and AaHhhs certainly nothing to offend anyone. Nice music for steampukers a thAshayers of all kinds. Mostly for slghtly over weight pasty folks and string bean types with their "vapes" oh and I have a beard and Im working on a nice sweet little "man-bun" which i may have to cut a hole in the centre of my little hat for.Oh well to be fashionable one sometimes has to pay a price. We play cellos oboes and a barely audible electric violin great music to organize your stamp collection to. I also sometimes play the electric spinach pan and sway drunkenly back and forth, shaking my flab, if you will... during my kazoo solo. Oh and for the guy having the financial discussion w/ his wife I think if you wait till real late when youre sure shes asleep you may be able to quietly creep around your apt./condo,very quietly so as not to get caught, you may want to very cautiously rummage around in her hand bag you may find that your testicles lie therein. Smiles Everybody, Lates!///////////////////////////////////////

My wife and I went to see zepparella on Friday may 2nd..we sat at a table and were having a in debt discussion where she grabbed my face to say she loves me when one of The bouncers waited until i walked away and proceeded to grab her by her arm and yank her off the bench she was on...he never bothered to ask me if everything was ok instead when my wife tried to explain it wasnt what he thought and to come ask me he pushed her out the door. It was totally unjustified and abusive..my wife has worked in the bar industry for over 20 years and would never have tolerated that from an employee. We bought shirts posters cds and were there to just have a good time . we waited along time for that concert and have seen them every time they have come. We are very upset and did not deserve that at all and the physical abuse that was used in my wife..my still be something we might take action on. If you have bouncers working for your bar they need to beproperly trained and educated

The Casbah....sigh... If not for the Casbah, I think I may have gone insane by now, as its almost the only place in San Diego to have any acts I at all enjoy. Manitoba? Fatlip? Diplo? Architecture in Hels(t)inki? Ive only gone to a dozen or so shows in San Diego because this city so rarely gets acts that I like (oh I could rant about this for hours), but 10 out of 12 of those shows will likely have been at the Casbah. Aside from the good acts are a very nice layout, with the bar/performance area, an outside area so you can smoke and drink at the same time (something I previously found so freaking fantastic), and a second room with a second bar and pool tables and arcade games. If Bluefoot Lounge got the acts I like instead of Casbah, I would probaby prefer that place. But, hey, I dont care for whiney white people music that much. Until then, the Casbah is where Ill be seeing almost every act I enjoy.

This place is about music. I wouldnt go there for any other reason. Mostly, because it usually smells. P U. BUT.. you can check out cool local and too hot to be too big bands! I saw !!! here and it was the best show ever! Usually, the sound quality here is just slightly off. Sometimes worse than others. I used to think it was something about the venue.. but then I saw !!! and it was the best sound ever and thats when I realized.. its probably a band thing. So if you are a band about to play here.. dont be afraid to speak up in between songs and adjust your sound. !!! did it and it only made them better. It doesnt have to be perfect straight out of sound check.. but if you notice you need a tweak say something in between songs! Your listeners will thank you.

My favorite music venue ever. I dont drink so the booze selection doesnt matter. I am there for the music. Here is a short list of the reason why I love this place. The sound. It is really loud. The booking person has a great taste in music. The ticket prices are always reasonable. The allow you to leave and renter the venue. Its really loud. The security guards keep the place under control. 21+ only admitted. Great location by downtown but with a much cheaper parking situation. Local musicians are always hanging out there. It is really loud. They sell earplugs at both bars. It is really loud. You get to see you favorite band and be, at most, only 20ft away from the stage. It is really freaking lous in there!!!!!

One of the last great venues in San Diego. I discovered one of my favorite local bands (Earthless) here. They serve cheap PBR and the place is usually packed with some hot little rocker girls. Two bars ensure swift drink delivery. My band played a show here a few years ago and it has a great feel to it. Def one of my faves to catch a show. The sound is pretty kick a** and can get pretty loud in there. They have a few pool tables and chill out places too. If youre new in town and wanna catch a good show, go check the calendar and make a date out of it.

This review is kinda long overdue. As someone who is fairly new to San Diego, I was a little spoiled with Casbah bring the first concert venue I went to for Kodaline. Relaxed, intimate, and amazing sound quality. Found myself impressed by the opener LP who came back and had her own concert. She was up on stage rocking and connecting to the audience. Enjoy all the new musicians I am discovering here. Another concert coming up this week!

Whats not to like about a small, gritty music venue with great sound and cheap beer? Right downtown, can be a challenge to park depending on the night, but once youre in the vibe is great here. Lots of big names sneak through if you watch the schedule closely. Very fun spot to catch a lesser-known underground type band too, as you can walk right up to the stage most nights.

I have been going to the Casbah since 1989. Its still the best place to see live music in San Diego, and check out up and coming local and national bands. They also keep it old school by booking bands from back in the day like X, The Dammed, Fear, The Cadillac Tramps etc. You never know whos going to show up at The Casbah! Porter is the coolest bartender ever!

Always have fun here when a good band plays. The Silent Comedy is the best band to go and see here. Gets kind of crowded but its all in good fun. OK OK It gets packed, but if you are looking for a good time Silent Comedy and the Casbah is the true meaning of a good night.

Just like the song, bands and DJs from all genres come to Rock the Casbah! Great sound system with two rooms and an outdoor area (no smoking in CA clubs) When REUP Magazine was in full swing, it was common to catch acts like RJD2 or locals like the Imputor! kids.

Legen.. (wait for it) dary! The Casbah is as dark, gritty, and dirty as the punk and rock that has graced its stage for over 10 years. Pool Tables and arcades and a smokers patio in separate rooms if you need a quick break from the loud rocking in the main room.
