Red Rum Cottage was the shiznit! Came here with the hubs and group of friends. None of us had done this sort of thing before, and we went in with no expectations. You have to arrive 15 minutes early to get checked in and watch the videos. They then take you to your room -- the premise being to work together to escape the room in one hour by finding clues, opening locks and collectively using your mind to get OUT! Obviously, I dont want to get into detail and spoil it for others but I can say it was a TON of fun. We went in with the goal of beating the record times they have posted out in the lobby area... we left not escaping, we were on the last clue when we ran out of time. Not sure if they were trying to make us feel better about ourselves but they told us Red Rum Cottage has a 15% success in escaping rate. You get a fun group photo at the end as well. The staff, particularly the spooky chick in our room were great... I did see a couple of other reviews where people thought the employees seemed irritated. There was one gal at the front who gave off that vibe for sure, but it did not detract from our fun since everyone else was great. Side note, they have a basket of little Army men at the front where they sell they t shirts. The basket says to take one to support our troops. Any business doing something to bring awareness and support of our troops is awesome in my book. We will be back, we are focused on giving it a second try and escaping the room!

Ok this review is gonna sound cheesy but its totally true and honest lol! I have lived in Tucson now for 17yrs now. I think its fair to say Ive done just about everything tucson has to offer within my limits and ability, as far as activities go. Date nights have started to get a bit repetitive and less frequent between my husband and I, not that theres anything bad with that but lets be honest it gets a tad bit boring. A few of my co-workers had mentioned going to Escape Room Tucson. Seeing as it was something new i of course wanted to try! It took a bit to get in as they were beyond booked, which only made me want to go even more!! When my husband and I had gone It was by far the most fun we have had in such a LONG time! We didnt want the hour of fun to end! Needless to say every since then our dates have revolved around Escape Room Tucson. We cant wait for the new rooms to be released!! Lastly, I absolutely love that its a family run business.

My family had a wonderful time during our visit to the Escape Room. My grandchildren are 18 and 15, and they brought two friends from Chicago with them to visit my husband and me. My daughter and her husband were along also. The staff is friendly, and the decor throughout the building and challenging games in the waiting area let visitors know immediately that much thought, love, and planning has gone into this business. Our game master had a talent for helping us just when we needed guidance and letting us struggle when we needed to. I highly recommend this activity. There were 8 of us, so we filled up a room, and the group said they thought having just the family was perfect. I highly recommend the Escape Room for a fun-filled and challenging time. We are still talking about our strategies and how we all interacted. I think the experience brought us more together.

Im just now getting around to writing a review. My family played two of the escape rooms in December, Secret Society and Can you get away with Murder. Im happy to say we escaped both rooms....one with literally 36 seconds left. The woman who runs this business has really pulled together her rooms quite well. They are well thought and logical, not easy but very logical. There is no prior knowledge or guesswork required in her rooms (at least the ones we have done). I will say these are some of the tougher rooms we have done but we thought it was excellently crafted together. My only complaint is in both room we tried something failed, a lock broke in the first room and two safes didnt work properly in the second. I imagine after so much use, sometimes things fail, but it is frustrating when it happens to you.

When I first heard about Escape Room Tucson I wanted to go. It looked fun but I didnt know what to expect. It totally blew my mind! We did not escape on the first or second room... but the third time was charm! Win or lose it is always fun! I have gone 3 times thus far and never been disappointed. My hubby and I find it a little difficult to find a new experience in Tucson, but this is certainly a highlight! Whether we go with a group of friends or just he and I (the yin yang room for couples is AWESOME!), we always have fun and leave laughing. The owner makes the experience as she is so amazingly friendly and makes us want to go back! I would certainly recommend this to anyone that is up for a new experience with friends or your significant other... you wont be disappointed!

We had a fun time while we got into the room. The game master was very helpful and kind and the room was every bit of challenging which made it really fun. The owner however was not very welcoming from the moment we stepped onto the property. We were unaware of how to enter the building because there was no sign for directions so we got yelled at for trying to lift the gate that was covering the door. There was definitely another approach that couldve been taken to inform us about not touching the gate. We were also not treated very respectfully while we were given instructions about the room. I just wanted to have a fun experience with my family and we all felt we were treated very unprofessionally.

Great concept, poor execution. I would like to see one clue lead to another to provide more fluidity as opposed to finding a clue that isnt required until several clues later. Tried correct code on cheap locks several times and it didnt work, flashlights needed batteries. Difficult to decipher props that were allowed to be touched versus props that wernt. Id probably try another location next time to see if thats just how these rooms are designed. Granted our group did try the hardest room, maybe the other rooms are designed better. Overall Id probably still go again because it is a fun experience.

My group and I visited recently and completed the Secret Society room. I would highly recommend this Escape Room experience over others in Tucson. They were very organized, had a good introduction and informational briefing and had someone in the room dedicated to advancing the story as we completed clues. Other rooms we have visited in Tucson were not nearly as organized and felt rigged as clues didnt line up properly to even allow completion. My group had an awesome time and plan on coming back soon. We completed with 2 second left!
