We (4 adults) bought the Summer Fun Pass ($17.95/per person)+ cost of renting bowling shoes ($3.50) for unlimited* bowling, laser tag, and rope climb on a Saturday from 4-close. I had thought that this would be a sweet deal - since the website boasts, "All-You-Can-Play FUNpass means getting as much bowling, billiards, laser tag and more as available" - well perhaps I should have read the fine print. The wait for these activities were worse than Disneyland, with a smalerl payout.. Bowling was capped at 1 hour. This was not explicitly stated when we tried to reserve our lane. We were told there was a 1 hour wait for bowling - we ended up waiting two. Our lane cut out on us in the middle of a game, and even after waiting our two hours, we were unable to extend our time. We were told that, generally, you have to re-enter the wait line to request more time, and cannot get more than an hour at a time - which means more waiting to switch to completely different lane . So, we ended up waiting 2 hours for less than 1 hour of bowling, which cut out in frame 4 of our 2nd game (4 people playing). I wish they would have been more upfront with wait times because we could have been playing laser tag during our wait. Initally, we waited ~30 minutes for a 15 minute game of laser tag, thinking we would be bowling shortly after. Well....since our beeper never buzzed we basically sat around unable to do anything! If we had known, we could have signed up early for additional games - but, again, timing is terrible, so you have to just guess when you might be free. In short, we were there for ~5 hours and got in one game of laser tag and an hour of bowling. By the time we realized how to work the system the waits were +2 hours for everything. It worked out to be about as much as if wed just paid separately for each activity, so not much of a deal. I would DEFINITELY recommend avoiding Saturday, and maybe Friday, otherwise, it is just not worth it. We did not play any of the games as they were extra cost and seemed pricey. They appeared to be priced to make you spend more money - games cost $1.10, $1.40, $1.65...$4.35 - which seem to make you spend more money on your game card since you always will generally have an uneven amount leftover. Food was OK - priced moderately, but service was slow. If I were to go back, Id pick a weekday, and perhaps get in the queue for everything AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, but that is IF I decide to return. Id rather just go cosmic bowling or go to Dave and Busters.

I know my review is long, but please read it all, its worth it. I read several of the reviews here and it just proves something that Ive known for some time now, there are some people that dont know how to do anything besides complain. My favorite one is " We bought an unlimited pass but didnt get to camp out on a bowling lane all night and only had an hour at a time to play!" OMG! REALLY?! These are the same people that would complain if they bought the same pass/wristband and were told they couldnt bowl at all because people wouldnt quit playing. The one hour time limit is a compromise to allow as many people the chance to play as possible. You go on a Friday or Saturday night and youre surprised that there are long wait times? Its the same everywhere you go if they are fun. Everybody wants to be first, but things dont work like that. Yes its not cheap, but most places like this arent really on the cost effective side and taking a family of four or more will cost you a bit, but so does a movie when you figure in food and drinks. If youre smart and you pay attention to when you go and plan accordingly, you can make it really worthwhile. We go on Monday nights and take advantage of their special, about $14 a person (the same cost as Cosmic Bowling but it last longer and starts WAY earlier), we eat an early dinner or we take off for a bit and hit McDonalds then come back and stay late (if we do leave, we reserve a lane and come back in time to bowl), during the time we wait for whatever we play pool or laser tag. It has happened every time we go that well go outside to smoke or put something in the car and as someone is leaving, they ask us if we would like their game card (unlimited video games for the night, the other $10 Monday special they have) because theyre leaving and dont need them anymore. The staff is friendly and when they are really busy, it may take a few extra minutes but they do their best. Again, if your attitude is "Me first", then yea youre going to be upset, but you will be with everywhere you go thats busy Sorry this review is so long but it makes me sick when people bash a place that works hard for your enjoyment just because you think your more important than EVERYONE else.

I had to go pickup an item across town and love Main Events food so I stopped in here even though I have one close to my house in Avondale because they should all be ran the same right! Wrong! It was not busy day so 3 of us sat down at a table by the bar and when 20 minutes went and by no one came to serve us I finally got up and went to the bar to order a drink and asked the bartender to please send someone over to take our food order, 15 minutes later and 6 trips of the waiter passing us up to help the people right next to us we had to go over by the food stand next to the bar where an employee was eating at the counter that faces us to see if we can have someone take our order. She was dressed differently than the other employees so she may have been a manager. She had been looking at us for about 20 minutes raising our had trying to get the waiters attention but was probably on break but the six waiters that were talking behind the glass in the kitchen were coming out to talk to her the whole time. So finally we order the food and the waiter leaves, my daughter realized he didnt take a drink order, he did however come back and apoligized for not asking about drinks. So the same burger I eat all the time from a different location and from the same local vendors was pretty gross, the bun was stale and the meat was so dry I couldnt eat it so just my fries. Problem was I told everyone how great the burgers were there so my daughter ordered one too and it was just as gross. My friend ordered a pizza and it was the same bad quality as the burgers were. On a lighter note the fries we good but we had to leave and go to eat somewhere else after paying over $50 for a beer, coke, and 2 fries. I was very disappointed because I always like going to Main Event to eat. I dont understand how the service and food were so horrible all at once. I would have been fine with the wait if the food was good it would have been worth the wait.
