Our family skates here 4 days a week or more depending on specials and on dates. We met a ton of great people (other regulars and skating enthusiasts) and the staff is amazing. The hardest part of being advanced skaters is hoping that other patrons will attempt to follow the rules that are clearly posted on the front doors of the entrance area. The floor guards work very hard to keep the rink safe for all skaters but sadly their efforts are not recognized by most of the inexperienced skaters and instead taken with a grain of salt and ignored. This makes it difficult for safety to be a priority which leads to accidents. As adults we sign a waver stating our abilities and accept the chance of accidents if they occur, however, that being said, it seems pointless to post rules that the majority choose not to follow and pose risk to themselves and other skaters. Its honestly the only flaw that we experience when going and it makes for a difficult time during busier sessions. Its really a lack of common sense on behalf of the inexperienced and it makes everyones jobs that much harder. (A penalty box would be awesome and maybe would help others understand the importance of the rules of the rink ) All that being said, we still love coming here and look forward to each session!

I have been coming here since I was a little girl, and I continue to bring my children here and occasionally my family throws parties here. Today I brought my daughter to skate and I placed an order for pretzel, pizza, hotdogs, a cookie and a drink with a pitcher and paid. The girl behind the counter said SORRY WE ONLY HAVE CHEESE PIZZA RIGHT NOW, AND THE COOKIES WILL TAKE 12 MIN TO MAKE IS THAT OK? I asked how long for the pepperoni to be made she said 25 MINUTES. I figured well NO its REALLY NOT OK but since Im going to be here while my daughter skates i will wait....I sat right on the white bench directly in front of line and the woman behind the counter continued help ring up other people on line and could see I was RIGHT THERE because she would occasionally glance over. Well I sat there for 55 minutes as she completely disregarded me and I had even taken into consideration that at times it can get busy, but for her to SEE ME and LOOK AWAY, like nothing was ridiculous. I took my receipt to a manager and asked for my money back and my daughter and I left. I was so.angry how she looked at me like I didnt matter, but v she had no problem taking my money first. Other than that I usually love going to skateland. She just ruined our visit.

FALL CAMP experience was a good one. My daughter loves to skate ( age 8), so we take her to Skateland/Mesa on the weekends, the skating is good and we all have a good time. Recently I enrolled her in the camp they had for Fall break, and I had some issues. First , why do they have the extended hours and charge extra. Just charge a rate for the whole day from 8AM until 6PM. $125, would be perfect for 1 child. Very reasonable priced and competitive. The extended pay is just unrealistic for parents. Also Bagged cereal and pop tarts for breakfast is a bit cheap for the experience of a CAMP, something hot would have been better. Also lunch could be a bit better as well. Hot dog and pizza is not the best if thats the only choice they have everyday. I will say day one, there was no sign in sheet available, (which my first impression was that you were unprepared) the girl literally made one in front of us, which took about 10 minutes for her to draw the lines and write each section manually. The staff is great though, and she loved her week at Skateland Fall Camp. We will consider this option again for breaks at school. #Skatelandfun

I went as a school fundraiser for my childs school tonight. I havent been to a skate rink in almost twenty years. The customer service was in need of improvement. The pizza slice that I got tasted like plastic. When I tried to refund and get another the line was too long and the poor girl behind the counter was so overwhelmed that it was expressed on her face. I also ordered french fries and after an hour wait someone else came and assisted the girl who was stuck at the register taking orders (many other people waited too). I finally got my french fries ten minutes later. The total amount of staff - four including the manager. The total amount of people there - well over a hundred. The arcades were missing pieces, i.e. air hockey without the puck, skee ball without balls. My biggest disappointment was when I rushed in to help a boy who had fell and was holding his arm in immense pain, the referee/DJ like teenage staff told me to move out dont block the lane. Unbelievable. I give credit where credit is due. There is no credit here. Will not be back. SCHOOLS if you are listening please dont go there!

I was reluctant to book this venue for a birthday because of the negative reviews. We had recently visited the Skateland in Chandler and it was a dump, the employees were slow and incompetent. So when my daughter said she wanted a skate party for her birthday I wasnt too thrilled. Anyway, our experience here was WONDERFUL!!!!! Nothing like the Skateland in Chandler. The party turned out great! Our group had a blast! Angel, our party host, made sure everything was organized and the food, cake, ect., was brought out in the order they said it would be despite hosting multiple parties. He handled it like a pro! Great party, lots of fun even for those that didnt skate! I would definitely recommend Skateland in Mesa.

Totally fun and affordable. Been to several birthday parties here. The staff is kind. The rink has a couple people skating that block others when a child falls. The center is a great place for the young beginners. Music is a good mix and the kids love it. The pizza is better than (the place with the singing mouse). Totally look forward to going. Just know it gets warm skating and the older building will be a bit "humid" at times. Bathrooms are older and the entire building is not seeming to be totally handicap accessible. The rental skates are in fine condition but you can bring your personals if you have them.

Not very happy. Got off work which I work downtown Phoenix and drove to Mesa with my family to skate land for event to meet the teenage mutant ninja turtles on there schedule on the website and on Facebook. Got there on the time of the event and these little kids said there closed and a guy does not acknowledge us until I had to ask what going on if there open and he finally tell me there closed and the events not happening. I told him he needs to take down the ad on Internet. So waste of time, gas, disappointed kids and had to figure something else for my family to do. Not ever going again they lost my business!!!
