Berghold used to be a favorite for Lodi wine tasting. The wines are great, the facility beautiful and I had taken groups of 8 to 14 people (with reservations made prior) in the past and had a great time. I recommended Berghold to a friend planning a group tasting day for 12. She called to make a group reservation and encountered a rude lady who said shed have to hire extra staff and open up the adjoining room for a group of that size and couldnt do it. In the past this was not an issue. Just lost 12 customers. Im so disappointed in the management and there are too many other great wineries who welcome appointments to endure rudeness..

Its like a museum of incredible antiques, combined with a wonderful gift selection and exceptional wines. We even joined the wine club before we left.
