I wish I could give 0 stars. I imagine all positive ratings are from the current- and crappy- management/owners. Each experience at King Pin gets worse and the faces stay the same, so it has nothing to do with old or "new" management. Every time my family goes to this place they shut off the lanes before prepaid bowling games are finished, and we have to go ask them to turn them back on. If you attempt to order food or drinks, expect to stand, waiting- before ordering- for at least 10 minutes each time. The morons at the bowling counter will stare at you slack-jawed and completely unhelpful, as the women who run the food counter sit in the back, pretending they cant see you, as they eat or wipe their noses with their hands. Periodically we forget how horrible the staff are and we decide to return. When we had my daughters birthday party there they set nothing up in advance, despite our pre-arrangements and their online claims for parties. The icing on the cake was when they presented her with a hastily written "Happy birtday" (not birthday, as is should be spelled) bowling pin- after we asked for this. I spent nearly $400 for them to be rude, unattentive, unprepared, and unsanitary. Our latest experience- tonight- was the worst. Staff pretends they dont notice when balls, pins, or re-set mechanisms get stuck, they hide or otherwise make themselves unavailable and you spend most of your time waiting- not having fun. I hope, taking the time to write this review, will indelibly print upon my memory the fact that this establishment is poorly staffed and managed and that it does not deserve my business. In the future I am willing to drive well out of my way to bowl with my children, rather than contribute another $70+ on food and 2 games of bowling. Save your money or sup[port a bowling establishment that actually cares about its customers. I will avoid King Pin Lanes, even if it means never bowling again!

I have no clue WHY we continue to give this place any money. My husband and I took my son there for a friends birthday party today and decided to get a lane of our own, as well. The grouchy old coot behind the counter said he would give us a lane, but only until the birthday party was over. Ok? About 5 minutes before the party was supposed to end he comes over to us and says, "It's almost 2!" My husband said, "OK?" The man said, "We have other people coming to bowl." We were halfway thru a game and when we said that he said he would try and find us another lane. We said to forget it and went to pay our bill, minus that game. We were there another 20 minutes or more waiting for my son to finish up and our lane was still unoccupied. What a jerk! And yes the food takes forever and everybody there is rude. Over it!

Good to hear that my experience is what everyone else has had. My 3 year old son and I went in early Saturday morning. After standing in front of a manager and employee who were talking for about 3 minutes the manager says "Do you need something?" I said I wanted a lane for us and his response was "We dont have anything open for you." I looked at the 12 open lanes a little surprised and he said that 2 were reserved and he needed to keep a "buffer" between the bowling leagues and everyone else. When I told my son he started to cry and the manager just rolled his eyes and walked away. How does this place even stay in business based on the experiences everyone has had? Lots of other places to spend money in this town, good luck to these guys to not become the next vacant building in town...

The alley has been well-maintained and everything is organized and clean. The staff were quite accommodating for our fairly large group, even on a busy weekend night. The snack bar has a good variety of food, including a few items that arent fried. The beer choices were modest, but respectable. My one complaint is that the live DJ (whose song selection was good) played his music so loudly that it was difficult to carry on a conversation, especially coupled with the regular nose of a bowling alley.

My family and I celebrated my nieces birthday party here and we had an awesome time! Great good, nice lounge and they even had arcade games for her and her friends to play. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The bowling lanes are really nice and appear new! Overall, the experience was wonderful and Im looking forward to going back. I would highly recommended this place for parties, family outings, or just for a night out! :)

Our first trip there and it was on Memorial Day. The place was busy and they seemed a little understaffed. The staff was gracious and friendly even though they had a lot going on. The lane messed up twice and was fixed quickly. A pin got stuck once and the computer froze once. Things happen and its how its handled that matters. Staff did a great job and we will definitely be back. The benches are extremely comfortable too.

This place is a midlo staple. Ms. P, is a great bartender and a real great person. Once you really get to know her you cant help but love her. The bowling alley has been around for ever. I had my 5th and 25th birthday party there!!! Great for the price, compared to the fancy bowling alleys. And they have cosmic bowling Friday and Saturday nights. And happy hour on the weekends.

Had my grandsons birthday party here. They had some special deal where you got your shoes and bowling for $18+/person. Well if you only bowl two or three games thats highway robbery. We went in with a party of 8 at approximately 20 each so thats 160 for bowling plus 70 for two rounds of beverages then two pizzas I figure the party cost about 330 before cake and ice cream.

It was okay, limited beer options, decent lanes, wasnt a big fan of the staff. They werent outright rude but didnt have a great attitude by any means. Seating was wonky, i was glad i didnt bring a group honestly. I wasnt impressed, but it wasnt necessarily bad. I wouldnt shy away if it were the closest alley to my home and i just simply wanted to hit some pins.

Been here before but want to try something new, so went to uptown alley, after a cluster of being told there were lanes a available over the phone and find that not to be the case, came back here. THEY HAVE LOCAL BEERS ON TAP! And it was all you can bowl for 3 hours $15 a person. Going straight here next time, had a great time with my 7 year old!

not only does this bowling center offer great arcade machines for kids, many pool tables, and good food, but the service was excellent. I have been bowling for 30 years in Richmond and the prices here are the cheapest in town!! They just installed a new scoring system, at least 10 50" flat screens and 5 projector screens
