Had the absolute worst experience by far. I have never left a bad review, but this was unexceptable. My girlfriend and I bought tickets online to see "get out" a week in advanced and when we arrived to the theater and scanned our code to go to the movie we were directed to the wrong theater. I then had to go back to the front and explain that the theater I was directed to was playing "Lego batman" and they explained that now the movie was playing in a different section of their theater in Dolby (their nice theater). We went to our seats and were there 20 mins early. About 5 minutes into the movie two people came up to my girlfriend and I and said we were in there seats. I showed them my tickets and they proceeded to go grab a manager. The manager then came back to say that we had purchased tickets to the non Dolby version (that they had switched to Dolby) but because those two kids purchased the tickets the day of the showing after the switch was already made by AMC that we needed to give up our seats and follow him down to the front. Sam (the manager) made a scene in the theater for an ongoing 5 minutes and proceeded to take us down to the front to explain the situation. When we got to the front the manager talked with another employee and the employee had explained to him that their system had been having issues all night with switching tickets to different showings. Sam then proceeded to give us a "re admit" ticket for a new movie at another date and he asked if we wanted two seats that were left in the theater (20 minutes later) so we accepted and he put us in the two left over seats that happened to be broken (now 30 minutes into the movie). Throughout the movie I couldnt quite get myself to calm down from this situation and was very frusterated. So at the end of the movie I was still unhappy about how this was handled and wanted to just go ask for a refund for the showing because quite honestly missing 30+ minutes of the movie, Sam causing a scene initially for 5 on going minutes at the beginning of the film, and sitting in broken seats after this all happened I just was still very unhappy about how it all was handled when this was all AMCs error. So I proceeded to talk to the manager and ask for a refund for this movie and he then argued with me and my girlfriend saying that the "re admit" movie tickets was his way of going above and beyond with his customer service and we should be thankful that he let us back in the theater and that "its not like he made us sit on the ground". The best part of it all was during this whole hour long argument he was laughing and chuckinling at my frustration. I couldnt believe how rude, and un empathetic Sam was as a manger of AMC and the fact that he proceeded to say their online website is completely different than their in person location and that they have nothing to do with it and he cant do anything further than the one set of re admit tickets because that is going "above and beyond" and if we want further assistance, we need to call their websites customer service hotline. Like seriously? As an AMC rewards member that frequently uses this theater I was shocked at how un empathetic and our right rude Sam was during this situation. Absolutely unbelievable... after an entire hour of this laughing at my face saying there was nothing he could do and how he already went above and beyond with his customer service and that he has no idea why Im mad he finally refunded me for the tickets. What blows my mind is that this is THEIR ERROR and he proceeded to blame me for purchasing tickets to the wrong movie? Absolutely unbelievable... On a positive note, "get out" was a great movie, atleast what I got to see of it.

I love the movie Star Wars being shown here. It started at 6:10PM for me in theater ROOM 15, but they had shown so much "promotional materials" for 20 minutes, and therefore the AMC vendor purposely ABUSING the viewers GENEROUS moods and ATTENTION. Moreover, I live in Columbia, MD and almost all theaters around here stuck to the 12 to 15 minutes of PREVIEWS, etc. There is another serious issue: POOR indoor-air quality, and I want to address that now. After the main feature show started at 6:30PM tonight (02 Jan 2016), I felt surprised by the cigarette smoke that came over the air around me and everyone. We sat on front row seats (row Bs .) I LOOKED AROUND to check if anyone smoking and saw no one smoking. I noticed another movie goer doing the same thing and LOOKED AROUND too, and then we all SURRENDERED TO THE UNREASONABLENESS and unwillingly ACCEPTED a possible VIOLATION of federal code of health and indoor air-quality and cleanliness requirements. My child was feeling sick of the smoke and slept for a short moment and I asked him if he is okay and he said he got a headache. So, over two hours the movie ended, I eventually walked to the CUSTOMER SERVICE desk and ask for a written form of complaints and the attendant stated that there is not such a form available. So I asked her if she can take make complaint as I explained it orally and I expressed everything I experienced on this issue. Finally, there are almost no theaters that sell ASSIGNED SEAT in Maryland, I believe. (Please update me if I am wrong on this. Of course, I had been visiting this mall over the last five years too many times but I had always AVOIDED this theater simply based on my visual observation of the tight space for ticket-selling operations. But, I finally succumbed to the pressure of my 12-year-old boy and thus bought two tickets of most-expensive movie ticket ever ... at a cost of almost 25 dollars ($24.85.) P.S. (1) : Of course, I do not expect to come back to this theater, and I was feeling that I should leave a telephone number for the staff to contact me for some possible and/or further explanations, but I did not do that or think of that as I walked into the mall, in order to contact my love one and so we can get home. P.S. (2) : You should not read any reviews that are over a year-old and by the "ANOMYMOUS" reviewers, since there are a lot of turn-over AND CHANGES, especially within the service industry over that SPAN OF TIME! (Just ask the ETHICAL and "Anomymous Hackers" for an opinion and you will get it, DEFINITELY!) .....

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORIBBLE! I drove all the way to virginia to be discriminated against! When I was buying m y ticket I was asking about the assigned seating, the cashier cut me off and told me the next movie wasnt until 12:30 pm when it clearly stated 11:45. I told her i wanted 11:45 and she than told me "the tickets are 15.85" which was a lie. I told her I didnt care about the price I just want to get my ticket. Once I paid we got in and reaslised there was people sitting in our seat so we sat elsewear. 10 mins later one of the workers come in and asks us for our tickets because someone had complained we were thier seats. I explained to him we sat there because someone was in our seats and he rudely to us to GET UP NOW. I was so embarrassed because he made it seem as if we were sneaking in or something. When we got to the seats he said nothing to couple had taken our seats and told us to sit in the very first row. I was so upset I went back to the front to speak with another gentlemen. He apologized and offered me two free passes and said he will be right back. he never came so I asked another lady to speak with the manager. When the manager came she had a rude disgusted look on her face. I had explained to her what happened and she told me I was lieing! why would i miss 30 min of my movie to lie on your employees ? I showed her my tickets and asked her to come and check herself but she just told me to bring back my tickets and she will give me a refund. I couldnt believe I was being to treated like a criminal by the manager who is supposed to resolve issues. After she called me a liar 4 diffrent times I told her this is bad managment and she threated to get me kicked off the property! Never have i felt so ashmed in my life! I will never come to this AMC again and I advice ethnic people not to either! They did not even try to hide the fact that they were discriminating against me! The managers name is CHELSY! Go elsewhere! do not waste ur money on headace!
