These are such a gem! It sounds kind of like a silly attraction (rooms in a larger building, decorated in the vernacular style and architecture of different ethnic and national groups), but these are really a must-see stop for any visitors that come to Pittsburgh for the first time. Also worth checking out again during the holiday season!

Free parking on weekends, free self guided tour of the top floor, a building that feels like Game of Thrones or Harry Potter, and this place turned out to be really nice. The rooms are cool and have tons of detail, with each room having its own audio recording that you turn on when you enter the room. Its really worth going.

On the first floor of the CoL, different nations are represented in a strange half-Christmas (probably seasonal) half-historical setting. Learn about their culture, history and how Pitt students study. A worthy, weird quirky add-on to any trip to Pittsburgh.

if youre visiting a Pittsburgh, its a must see. I went to Pitt, most of my classes where in the cathedral and never appreciated the building as much as I should have.

A lot of work has been put into making accurate cultural historic rooms. They are maintained very well. Self guided and free to view. Major events around Christmas.

Trully a work of art! I toured all the classrooms when I was 16 on summer vacation. Viewed the city from the babcock room on the 40th floor
