Mount Pleasant Pier is just an all around amazing and beautiful place to visit. We saw folks doing workouts, yoga, jogging, walking, fishing off the pier (permit required). There is a play park with slides and jungle gyms for the little ones to make new friends and play in a safe and secure environment as there is a gate around it. We saw people of all ages. The ice cream truck even paid a visit (it was a real feel of 104 degrees at this time). Its a nice beautiful walk all the way to the end. There are benches as well as bench swings with roofs overhead. You get spectacular views of the water and the Arthur Ravenel Junior bridge no matter what part of the pier or park youre in. This is one of those places you must see when you visit the Charleston or Mount Pleasant area...and its free.

One of the best piers Ive ever walked and fish on. This pier and pretty much the piers in this area have measurements for your fish, a big metal net in case you do catch a big one, water hose to wash your hands and fish, cutting table to cut your bait, bathrooms, gift shop that opens till 5:00, rod rentals, fishing wagon rental, pay 8.00 to fish, children are 5.00 but check the website for current price however. The pier stays open till 11:00 and there are lights so its not dark. Beautiful sunsets! And we got lucky to see three dolphins swimming by.

The pier is a perfect place to watch the sunset. The playground is large & great for the children. The pavilion even has rocking chairs outside for your rocking plessure. How southern is that. Large green space to throw a Frisbee or ball. Theres a nice memorial to our vets. Go around sundown & Im sure you wont regret it. Make sure to stay until the sun is completely gone to see the sky turn pink & blue. The reflection on the Cooper River is to dye for!

Parking is plentiful. Playground is well designed and maintained. Its populated by suburban moms who seemed to be more interested in their phones than their kids. The memorial was beautiful and I took the time to teach my son what it was. Some pictures had been placed and it was moving to explain the reason to my 4yr old. The pier is pretty awesome and I would recommend checking it out.

Very nice place to fish and enjoy watching ships pass under the bridge. There is a store at the shore side that has souvenirs, food, and beverages (including beer). They have fishing gear rental and for $5 you can fish on the pier with or without a SC fishing license. They have nets located along the pier to assist with any large fish that you catch as well.

This is a top notch fishing and sight seeing pier for this area. Very modern and clean with all the amenities needed plus more. A great shop with good food and an unbeatable view while you eat. The Childrens park is also very large and nice. A great fishing spot or even a place to relax after a busy day shopping.

Took the boys to the pier and was surprised the pier is made of concrete. People are fishing and reading; there is plenty of seats and a good area to walk around and take pictures of the boats. There is a bathroom at the begining of the pier and playground for the young ones 5-12 yr old.

Terrific public park with free parking (except for special events). You can get a fishing license in the shop/office if needed. Beautiful views of the Charleston Harbor, Ravenel Bridge, and up the Wando River. Lots of benches and swings either out in the open or under shade.

Only go here for fishing, it is otherwise a rather deserted and somewhat unpleasant smelling place. There is an interesting monument nearby, but it isnt worth any out of the way visit. Walking the bridge it sits underneath is a much more pleasant activity.

Beautiful and family friendly. Lots of police presence so its very safe. Also, if you like Pokemon GO its a haven for it. So much fun and there is an awesome park. If you look online you will find events like concerts and free movie on the lawn nights!

Great place to walk and see the stunning Bridge that connects Charleston to Mount Pleasant. I Highly recommend it and also suggest to visit it to see the sunset. Its amazing the shades of orange, blue and black with the Bridge frame at it. Its a must!

Not a bad fishing pier for being right over the bridge from Charleston. Not as scenic as the Folly or Pitt St piers but nice and modernized pier great for a stroll to look out over the water or to fish for Reds and Sheepshead

Great place to spend an evening with family or as a couple. I love sitting in the swings and watching the water. Daytime is nice but I prefer the night time when you can see the Charleston lights across the water.

Nice place to go take a walk after lunch or dinner or go for a good run.You can fish, but need a permit. Very nice photo opts of Rt.17 bridge. There is also a jungle gym for the little ones and an open field.

Great place to go fishing!! The store at the start of the bridge rents out rods and sells bait. So you can be from out of town and not worry too much. Plenty of shade under canape and seating.

Had a great morning fishing. Plenty of parking, staff at the gift shop was friendly and helpful. Caught lots of fish. I just wish there were more convenient places to sit while fishing.

We love walking the pier and hanging out here when the weather is nice. Havent fished yet but thats "on the list" to do. :) BTW - no dogs. Dogs are okay at the park but not on the pier.

its a beautiful park/common space, the pier itself is huge, tons of places to sit and enjoy the views and weather. Its also open fairly late with some places to grab a drink or snacks.

Its one of the most amazing waterfont spots in the low country, fishing is allowed till 11 pm, parking is free. Looking for something inexpensive to do this is the place to go.

I love fishing here. It gets too crowded on the weekends and parking can be a pain. Its $5 to fish all day. They sell bait at the store on the pier.
