The wines were better than I expected - very good, I might even say. I can see where the low rating reviews are coming from re: service and venue, but I have a different perspective on it. It has kind of a "mom and pop" feel, which I find refreshing. The staff were knowledgeable about their work and perfectly friendly on the two occasions that Ive been there; however, they dont provide white glove service. They kind of move at their own pace and seem preoccupied with operations at times. Youre basically buying wine from a room in a barn in Pennsylvania, and keeping that in mind anchored my expectations in such a way that I was happy with the experience. If you have some time to kill in the area, perhaps because youre spending some time at Ski Liberty, check them out. The wines are very good in my opinion and, perhaps thanks to the significant differences in terroir, quite distinct from e.g. California wines of the same varietal. Tastings are offered, so form your own opinions on the wine. Some are far too sweet for my taste, but are described as such. Others are drier and on point. Each time I visited, the staff was able to find several bottles to my taste. If a wine strikes your fancy particularly, cases are available at reasonable, discounted rates if you ask. Overall, its a good deal on local wine in a relaxed setting devoid of pretense. Whats not to like?

This was my first trip to a winery, and I had a really nice time. Chris gave us our tour, and she was really nice and helpful. It was just me and my girlfriend on the tour, so it was very comfortable. The wines were good, but my opinion is not the most educated one! I have two complaints though. The first is that we were given 7 tastings instead of the 8 promised on the website. The second is that the glasses we were given on the Historic Tour were 150th Anniversary glasses for the Battle of Gettysburg. They look kind of tacky, and Im not sure why theyre still giving them out an entire year after the 150th anniversary... So overall, Id recommend the winery, but go for the tour that includes the bottle of wine because the glasses are not very nice... Also, make sure you get the number of tastings that you paid for.

Despite the pouring rain, we had a wonderful day. The place was empty when we arrived, but as the room filled, staff came from everywhere. Very highly recommended, especially in the summer, I think would be fantastic. Such a great variety of wines to choose from. There are signs posted to get there; dont follow Goggle, go to the top of the mountain past Mr Eds and bear to the right. Much faster, coming from Chambersburg. Ill go back again.

Terrific place. Great wines and a warm and welcoming atmosphere as well. We look forward to the summer concerts every year and find them to be so relaxing its hard to leave! The rustic atmosphere is one of the best parts. We have been to MANY similar establishments and this winery provides some of the best wine in a family atmosphere. We always come home with a case. Keep up the good work.

Had an appointment with the event coordinator and she wasnt available when we arrived. We waited 25 minutes before someone stepped in to show us around. We were looking for a wedding venue and wanted to get realistic prices for our budget. We were given unsure ballpark numbers and staff was unprofessional.

A well established & wide selection of all types of wines - the dry reds are all good. With some of the recent upgrades and more common events, creates a nice environment to do some chillin . Weve also visited the downtown store - a nice getaway from the norm of the typical sight-seeing fare.

Wonderful selection of great wines, beautiful venue, along with a friendly and helpful staff. The outside cafe/kitchen is definitely something to try with your favorite bottle of wine. I highly recommend the Rustys Red, Rebel Red or white sangria with one of their delicious pizzas!

While the winery itself may be dated, I talked with the owner on Sunday and she was incredibly helpful and pleasant. Not to mention, Adams County Winery offers MUCH better wines than the new place up the road.

Needs a major update. The place is dark and dingy and not attractive at all. Plus, I talked with the owner, and he was very condescending and rude. Just my thoughts. Wine was average at best.
