Love the theater, but have to admit I couldnt stand the play based on the board game Clue. The performances were stellar, and it was so exciting to see Sally Struthers live, as I watch her whenever I can on Antenna TV as Archie Bunkers daughter Gloria, but my opinion is that this Clue play really sucks. I just didnt find the humor funny, but I guess Im spoiled by the genuinely funny humor of Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers every night. Also, Im an animal lover, so I found the shooting of the two (toy) cats tasteless, stupid, and insensitive. Some dolts in the audience thought dead cats falling from a balcony was hilarious. Give me a break. Thats humor for 8-year-olds. The five stars are for the theater and the acting there, but I wouldnt give the Clue play even one star.

Saw "Guys & Dolls" with a group of six tonight. It was an extremely enjoyable and professional production, with a a talented group of actors. We had a great time. The evening was certainly enhanced by the ambiance of the playhouse with its comfortable seating, good acoustics, adequate restrooms, and dedicated staff. Ill definitely return from NY when a new production strikes my fancy.

A huge renovation effort and radical change in programming and administration has rescued this historic theater from oblivion and turned it into an extremely exciting energetic professional theater. It should be on anyones list visiting New Hope. Before the show we had a drink on the deck and took in the beautiful river view. Now if they could only make parking free for ticket holders!

Have seen a couple plays here in the iconic, gabled, white building. Always well produced and entertaining. Has a wonderful outdoor plaza with a beer garden just off of Main St, but separated from the busy street by the Aquetong creek spilling over a small waterfall where it runs into the Delaware. There is also a short riverwalk with a broad view of Lambertville and the bridge.

When the Hope Mills burned in 1790, the grist mills were rebuilt as the New Hope Mills by Benjamin Parry. The building was saved from demolition in the 1930s and purchased and run by a group including playwrights Moss Hart and Kenyon Nicholson. The Bucks County Playhouse became a summer theater.

Bucks County Playhouse is a nice local community theater. This is a great place to see a play if you are in the area. There are lots of bed and breakfasts down the street. In the summer they give away free lemonade. There is a nice little bar in the back along the Deleware River.

Depends on the play, but the location itself is pretty cool! Its a great little place near the river to eat a packed lunch with small kids when youre looking for shade and safety for kids that want to walk around a bit.

Disappointing. Got a parking ticket in the lot because I took an end spot and took advantage of some additional space on the passenger side to keep the drivers side door from being dinged.

Neat venue that serves alcohol and has outdoor bar and seating for between shows. The acoustics made it hard to hear the show at some times though.
