I saw Tommy Emmanuel (Worlds Greatest Guitar Player) tonight in Newton at the Newton Theatre. What a GREAT, small, and old-school theatre in what is Sussex Countys Capital. The Place is great! Very Small and quaint, so EVERY seat is close to the stage. Ive seen numerous shows here within the last few years and the place keeps getting better and better. The only thing I disliked is I was going to video my favorite song and the "guards" or security guys repeatedly were telling people to turn off their phones. So how are we supposed to get great Youtube additions? SOmebody should have video-taped this show tonight, as it was a CLASSIC! The place attracts very good acts, musicians and alike. I saw The Musical Box (Genesis tribute Band) here and was blown away by the sound system. Also saw Steve Hackett (Genesis) play here and the show was fabulous. I Highly Recommend The Newton Theatre!! Easy, fast and reliable ticketing on-line too. Dont go to the Box Office during the week to save money on your tix, cause theyre never open! Well, thats it- head to the Newton Theatre and enjoy your show ! AAA+++

Another potentially great show ruined by lousy sound. When the first drummer took the stage, he hit the kick drum and it was painful. The bass guitar was grossly over loud, terminally woofy, not remotely like Berry Oakley. This is typical. What is not is that when the band started playing the guitars drowned out the drums and the bass was just a cloud of noise. They also drowned out the vocals. The keyboard players vocals were generally useless and the keyboards usually unhearable. The acoustic guitar players guitars were inaudible, his vocals 90% so. I was 7 rows back in the middle. The sound should have been great. After the intermission I sat next to the mixing box. The sound was a bit better but still way below what it should have been. Ive seen the Allman Brothers at a number of venues since they came on the scene and their sound was never remotely as bad. These guys can play and sing. What is with this? Sadly, it seems the new norm at the Newt.

With the confusion of the holidays my husband and missed a performance. We were terribly upset. The theater was kind enough to allow us to use our tickets for another show and other performers. We saw the Rovers last night and loved it The theater is comfortable and attractive and close to eateries. Its nice to have entertainment places like this in Sussex County. At last something caught on. Next is a visit to the Light Show at the Skylands. All these things fit nicely into our community. The Rovers put on a Christian based performance and i am sure the light show will follow holiday traditions. Have a blessed Christmas and may it be merry. Thanks, Patty and Peter Hefferan Wantage

Been to many shows with some of my some of my favorites Alan Parsons, Tommy Emmanuel, and Jesse Cook. Going tonite to see the Real Grand Funk in the form of Mark Farner. Only complaint is the bathroom facilities (which isnt that bad )which I know they are working on. Maybe auction off some of the signed posters to help with the renovations? Bottom line, perfect size venue with great seating and acoustics and many great acts. Also staff is excellent!

The Newton Theater is great, the staff are always nice and helpful and most of the facility is great. The only issue is that the ladies room is only two stalls and they are both tiny, like if you had a large purse you would not be able to close the stall. Other than that weve always had a great time there.

Once a two screen subpar movie theater, this venue has been transformed into one of the best concert halls in northwest Jersey. Ive been to a few shows and had a blast!!! Prices are reasonable and parking is ample. The acoustics are good and the lighting is excellent.

i went to see Tommy Emmanuel who is spectacular. top notch. we got tickets in the last row in the 2 seats next to the wall but my line of sight was perfect, no heads in front of me, and the sound was good and clear. great experience. staff very helpful.

We saw Robbie Krieger the guitarist from The Doors and Jon Anderson, lead singer of the group Yes, here. Very intimate setting every seat has a great view. Off site parking only and its a spread out around the surrounding area.

Wonderful venue, not a bad seat in the house. Not a fan of all the shows but there is something for everyone. I go about 6 times a year and its always great. Helpful staff and killer entertainment.

All good except parking they have only the street to rely on. The publuc parking acrosd the street is being converted into an apartment building. Be prepared to walk
