I show up for an 8 PM comedy show. Around 8:20, the lights dim and headliner comes out, which is fine. What is not okay is that for the next 30 minutes, a massive and steady stream of patrons continue walking in through the doors, talking to each other and being guided by ushers with their strobing flashlights, which effectively makes it impossible to hear the performance. It was so bad that even the headliner noticed and commented on it. Then for the next hour until the show ends, the doors slam open and shut every minute while drunken patrons come in late and stumbling, and other patrons go out to get drinks and come back in. Since the venue is dark and the lobby is brightly lit, the revolving doors create a disco-like experience, accompanied by the music of sloshing ice cubes in cups. It may be helpful to try to seat everyone before the show starts, like a normal venue, and to either (i) not serve alcohol during the performance, or (ii) serve alcohol in the lobby without opening the doors every minute. But it appears that the venue has embraced a certain type of clientele in order to maximize the importance of drink profits.

BUYER BEWARE: I purchased tickets for a show at the Bergen Performing Arts center for December 13th. The Bergen PAC center cancelled the show. The ticket center I purchased the tickets through will not refund my $300 because the venue is saying it is not cancelled and MAYBE rescheduled in the Spring. As of today (2 months later) there is no word. To make matters worse this was a Christmas show. Bergen Performing Arts Center has cost a lot of people money. I guess they think we should wait until next Christmas in hopes of a show. Just plain NOT right!!!! Be willing to lose money because they will not back you!!!

Descent size stage, moderately sized auditorium. Tide sitting in the Platinum seating area be prepared to look up, slightly, at the stage. Those with neck problems should avoid sitting that close. Rear orchestra is good. I sat in the Platinum area, 3 rows from the stage. By the end of the performance my neck was soar. Great seats thou. I was able to view the entire stage as well as their facial expressions. We saw Cirque Ziva. It was a great show. Made me feel like I was in China. The cast is very talented and very acrobatic. Definitely a must see.

I prefer to buy tickets from the box office at BPAC or any venue. I feel much more at ease and am quicker to buy any tickets. I can easily take a ride to box office and use cash because I dont use credit cards and miss many events. I can speak for my friends and family too, who also miss many events due to no credit card and would prefer to buy tickets with cash. I am giving BPAC a 5 star --- last show was Michael Schenker, hope you can change ticket purchase policy and allow me to buy from your box office. Thank you.

Smallish venue (perhaps - 2000 capacity ) serves liquor, wine, soda, staff and security are very pleasant, sound seems to be good, and you can find ample free parking across the street. A nice place to see a show just a tad smaller than Radio City Music Hall or Westbury but has upper level seating like the beacon. Much better energy exchange between performers and audience than some arena.

Great place and real jewel of Bergen County, thankfully the past County adminstration assisted in tax-free financing, sadly the recent Bergen Republican adminstration and it double dipping patronage adminstation have decided to take a destructive approach to bergen pac.... grass roots efforts are being made to get rid of patronage laced Bergen Republicans

New and improved sound system that makes it much better than years ago. They are definitely getting better / very good acts, but the theatre still feels a bit tired. Why they dont update the seats and painting is anyones guess, especially given the $$ demographics in the surrounding towns.

I was in Bergen Performing Art Center at Yanni concert on 11 July, 2016. It was wonderful place to participate in concerts or other art shows. They have many interesting programs, and I will visit there again and again. P.S. Yanni concert was amazing.

Wife & I visited for a concert. Great acoustics and not a bad view from any seat however the seats are not friendly for tall people. Spent the last half of the concert standing in the back because my knees were hitting the back of the seat in front of me

Good venue. Was able to park in the street nearby although the big parking lots were full. Not as nice as South Orange or NJPAC, but it does the job. The little piano bar is cool.

Horrible security process! No checks performed for all back-stage all access pass at Wild Kratts show! They allowed a gate crasher to go before valid ticket holder!

Very nice old fashioned theater. You need cash for the snack & drinks bar. Youll need quarters for the off street parking.
