Sooooo....we charge $1.99 per you pick pound of apples that are not of any particularly interesting variety. The orchard has been sprayed with some heavy duty pesticides, notice no flies, wasps, or other insect creatures? Poisoned apples aside, overpriced poisoned apples aside, poor varietals of poisoned apples aside, it is the massive amounts of wasted poor varietals of poisoned apples that should make the owners ashamed. Every tree has had at least 50% wasted on the ground of rotting in the tree. Send them to a food bank! Of course this would mean we are poisoning the homeless and boring their taste buds. How do I know about the pesticide? I have worked in an orchard. That many fallen apples would/should be crawling with yellow jackets, ants, and flies. Next we move onto the mass of humanity that shows up here every weekend. We are talking thousands upon thousands. Parking is a nightmare. There are sparse restroom facilities. I counted six port-a potties and two four person bathrooms. The regular bathrooms are disgusting. No soap, feces smeared on the walls, no toilet paper, and no one cares. I thought there was a bare minimum of bathroom facilities required by the health department?! If there is no soap here, what do you think the staff has to wash with? Ick. My biggest gripe is that, those of us that remember, this rip off of a family enterprise had a "fire" that demolished the (then)main structure. The family cried to the public. They waxed and waned poetic about the damage to their farm. They asked for donations to rebuild. They stated publicly that their end goal was to rebuild the lost structure. It has been over ten years. They have built plenty of other crappy structures, not one large enough to address the mass of weekenders, but no rebuild of the lost round barn. Oh, I cant stop there. Bring your small ones. They are more than happy to charge money for every activity. This includes the childs play area which has several large unkempt apple trees dropping rotten apples all over where your kids would like to play, which you have paid the privilege for. The food is a total rip off too. We are talking serious Disney World rape. Except this food is served by unfriendly people that we have well established have not washed their hands in a very long time. I will never bring my family back as Im fairly sure by next year they will charge for parking.

Linvilla Orchards is one of the best family friendly spots in Delaware County! From the market and garden center for your fruit and flower needs to the playground, trains, pony rides, animal feeding and pick your own fruits and vegetables, plus seasonal activities like Pumpkinland and Cut Your Own Christmas Trees, they always have something for everyone. We like to go on slow days because our kids love to run around on the playground. Its fenced in and has two areas depending on the ages of the kids, so parents can play with them or have a seat on the bench and let them run themselves tired. The market has plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as a bakery in the back. Make sure to try the apple cider donuts, theyre awesome! While youre there, pick up a bag of animal feed and go back outside to feed the deer, horses, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Theres a snack bar for your own nutritional needs, too. By far, my favorite part of the farm is the fishing pond. They have a catch and release program, no license needed. Its a stocked pond, so if youre bringing first time fishermen (or women!) they are almost certain to catch something. The Pick Your Own section is also really nice. You get to go in the fields and select your favorite fruits and vegetables. During apple season in the fall you can couple this with a trip to Pumpkinland for a full day of activities. We make regular trips out there, the kids love it, my wife loves the prices in the market and I enjoy getting outside for awhile. Oh, and Im told that in the last few weeks, there have been a TON of Pokemon Go all over the place. So, if your surly teen gripes, tell him he may find a rare pokemon =]

Ok so I brought my family and some friends here for some late night fun. My husband had purchased 3 tickets for the hayride and somehow in the mist of standing in line my husband somehow misplaced the tickets.. Im not sure how, but things happen.. I think he might of dropped them by accident while taking pics. But we tell the lady at the booth and the entire staff gave us a hard time about it. The lady even said I dont remember ever seeing him and she just literally sold us the tickets a like 10 minutes prior. The whole thing was embarrassing and they even had him look around the lines and area for the tickets. This stranger was sitting there with his son and he felt so bad he gave us his ticket bc his son was afraid to get on the ride. The staff didnt even offer him a refund after hearing about the baby being scared, They said and I quote "well now you have one ticket you have to find the other 2". Very Very Very POOR customer service. I could not believe what was happening. Finally after 15 minutes of sheer embarrassment the lady then says " o now I remember them, their ok let them on" and then they let us on.. what a mess. and just to let everyone know we came a Hr before they closed and it was not that many people there so I really dont understand what the problem was,,, overall my daughter and her friends enjoyed the ride and we made the best out of an unfortunate situation...

Linvilla has always been fun for children and adults trapped with the limitations of suburban outdoor living. But recently the Linvill family decided to sell to Sunoco Logistics a route across their farm to install a pair of pipelines that will transport Marcellus shale gas across the state for export to Europe. This gas is a highly compressed mix of inflammable and explosive gases that if it leaks has the power of a small nuclear bomb. Sunoco Logistics has an abominable safety record but has been allowed by state regulators to call itself a ‘public utility’ when it is neither public nor a utility - there is no public benefit and the pipeline serves no utilitarian purpose except to enrich its owners. Allowing these pipelines to run through dense residential neighborhoods, adjacent to public schools, under local roads, across suburban properties and community parks is simply unconscionable. For Linvilla to have succumbed to the bribes Sunoco Logistics has been paying local governments and willing residents is beyond the pale. For this reason I am boycotting Linvilla and am saddened to have lost this wonderful opportunity to the greed that money compromises some people and most of our local elected representatives.

Weve been faithful swim club members for the last 10 years, so this review is way overdue. Every year, my kids and I look forward to summer days spent at either pool, Knowlton or Hidden Hollow. It reminds me of a pool experience of my childhood where kids become fast "summer friends" and run between the tennis courts, playground, dives, slides, swim team and of course the snack bar. Are the spaces sparkling new? No, but they are clean enough and well cared for so people arent being hurt. We spend most of our time at Hidden Hollow and with the swim team, which I totally recommend. It is an unbelievable bargain at $55 per child, after joining the pool. The HH coaches: Will Murphy, Bob Piotti, Kelly Dale and others, are fantastic. They coach the kids in technique and give them a rigorous workout WHILE keeping it fun! My kids love it and the sense of family they get when at practice and while competing. PLUS, we have had an undefeated season this year, which doesnt hurt either :). Do it~ join the pool and the Hidden Hollow swim team, you wont regret it!!
