Nestled just 8 miles outside of historic Gettysburg lies the Adams County Winery. Its on an old farm, with a huge red barn. Open 7 days a week, they have a decent selection of wine to choose from. We tried a bottle of their "Tears of Gettysburg" which was pretty sweet and listed at 12.00 a bottle. Other flavors range from 11-27 dollars a bottle. One of the cooler things was a map of the USA, where people pinned what city they were visiting from. The Winery has free music on the weekend, while we were there Hot Club Du Jour played. There was plenty of outside seating, with picnic tables, covered tents and a pavilion. There was a really cute butterfly garden that children were playing in. Also operates a downtown location in Gettysburg on 25 Chambersburg Street.

I liked the wine...but the service was terrible. ..many winerys tastings that I go to either offer the glass you are tasting out of free or at a reasonable cost...after purchasing 2 bottles of wine I asked the young lady if I could have the glass. .she asked me wasnt the free tasting enough. .wow...you will never see me there again. ..

I would have loved to have tried the wine I read that it was vary good, unfortunately the two people who were working there were very rude. I stood near the bar for about 20 minutes waiting until they were not busy only to be ignored while the women helped three different people that just walked in the door.

Purchased two bottles of Adams County Wine at our local store. The Three Sheets to the Wind Red and it was horrible not even worth saving for cooking. Although I wont condem the whole winery based on this one experience; I do not recommend paying full price for any of this wine.

We have visited here multiple times, making a point to visit when we pass through Gettysburg and attend the Apple Harvest Festival. We love the Scrapple wine.

Super dog friendly, which you cant say for to many places that do wine tastings. Staff was very knowledgeable and helped us get some great wines.
