My husband and I are travelling from Tennessee to relocate to Texas so when we saw the signs for the hotel and casino he suggested we stop, have lunch and maybe drop a few pennies in the slots. We chose the Rainbow and were extremely disappointed by the restaurant, the Riverview Buffet. First, there was a very teaser price listed, but only for Monday and Tuesdays. We were not there on either of those days and so were informed that the price was almost double. Hungry and not willing to walk all the way back to the cars, we agreed to the price and headed to the buffet. The selections were poor and not only that, there was no flavor to most of the food. Gravies and soups sat congealed and lackluster, looking like theyd been there for days. Nothing looked particularly fresh, but we grabbed some plates and no sooner than we did than the waitress came over. She asked if wed gotten everything we wanted from the buffet because the staff were soon going begin pulling the buffet. We misunderstood this to mean that new, fresh food would soon appear but were corrected. The place was closing and wed been there only about ten minutes at this point. We told the waitress that this was not what we bargained for but she sloughed us off. We each chose another plate of food and got dessert and sure enough the staff began pulling food off the buffet. The waitress told us we could stay as we needed but with no food, what was the point? My husband and I had looked forward to a leisurely lunch and feeling deceived, asked to speak to the manager. He soon arrived, assured us we could stay as long as we desired but if we felt deceived, it was on us. He also assured us that there had been a sign at the cashiers desk annotating the times of the meal and what was on the buffet. We assured him back, there was no sign and we should have been told by the cashier, when we paid for our meals, at 1:40pm, that the buffet was closing. He assurred us she must have and trotted away feeling triumphant. By this time my husband and I were finishing our cake which had been sitting so long I had to cut the sides off to get to something nearly moist, and when we finished we left and asked a security-person to see a real manager. Three women arrived, all of whom were concerned and understood our complaint. They confirmed there was no sign posted and the security-person agreed that when we came in, there were no times posted, either. They called another restaurant manager who basically said "tough cookies" and we should never have felt pressured. My response was, "who wants to sit there with no food? We came to eat and eat leisurely...not in 20 minutes." Sadly, he wasnt concerned and apparently didnt realize that people leave reviews on the internet. We cashed out our winnings (not much, but fun to play) and left the casino, disappointed and determined to let others know how we were treated. Dont bother eating at the buffet. They shut it down at 2:00pm, whether they tell you or not. Not worth your time. Go elsewhere.

Stayed at the hotel and arrived after 12am for a two night stay with a coupon. It was Tuesday morning and Brenda at the front desk informed me that I would have the room for Tuesday and Wednesday with a 11 am checkout on Thursday morning 2-23-2017. On Wednesday morning I was called on the room phone by a very rude and argumentative employee named Terry Wilson who told me that I had to leave the room because the front desk girl entered my info that I had arrived on Monday thus saying that the two day coupon was valid until Wednesday! I explained to this woman that I arrived Tuesday morning and was to stay until Thursday morning. She said that I arrived Monday and that was a bald faced lie! I then had to gather my belongings and leave earlier than I had planned. I spend thousands of dollars at Lady Luck but I will not frequent this place ever again!! The Ameristar and WaterView and Riverwalk casinos all ask for my business as a VIP guest and I will send my business their way! Your loss because of one smart-ass employee! I am also a reviewer for Trip Advisor internet site and will be posting this information so that others contemplating a visit will think twice! Remember that you are sharing the casino market with 3 other operators and you folks will be closing because others feel the same as I do seeing some of your past reviews of lack of service and employee rudeness! FOR SHAME ON YOU!!

This was the worst experience ever. We check in without any problems then upon entering our room the door looked to have been damaged where the latch was installed. It gets worse.... I pull back the sheets on the bed to check the mattress (something I will forever do before sleeping in a strange bed). First, no mattress pad just 2 flat sheets but what I found under the flat sheet made me sick to my stomach. I saw a huge blood stain, yes blood stain. I lifted the mattress only to confirm the mattress was covered in blood, enough blood to assume someone was seriously injured on this mattress and the hotel staff flipped the mattress over so they knew it was there. I went to the desk and asked them to remove the mattress and give us a new one and they said the could not but gave us another room. Again I checked the mattress and found yet again BLOOD STAINS. Again the mattress had been flipped to try and cover this up. We left the hotel. There was no manager on duty for me to talk with about this situation. I called the number provided for the manager and left him a message on his voice mail but he has yet to call me back. I wish I could upload the photos taken of the mattresses.

What can I say this hotel used to be 5 star but the last time we stayed here which was almost 3 years ago the experience wasnt good we were told we were banned from staying there because our room was too trashy we didnt even have that much trash in there to begin with the hotel staff from when we stayed there in the past were pretty nice but the last few times we stayed there up until we got kicked out were rude there are plenty of other nicer hotels in Vicksburg we take our business to Hampton Inn now which is a far superior and nicertainly hotel Recently we visited the casino and to our shock they got rid of the buffet its only Friday and Saturday nights now and Sunday brunch this buffet used to be the best in town I think they should bring it back through the week and step up their game if they want to have better business at this hotel and casino Im giving 2 stars because this hotel casino used to be top notch
