We went on Dec 25 to see the 3pm showing of The Hateful Eight. We arrived by transit to avoid parking in downtown Seattle. However, because it was Christmas Day, we ended up walking about 6 extra blocks to find a way from Westlake Station to the theatre. In times past it was a simple matter of getting through Nordstroms and up into the theatre. Not so today. We arrived to find a packed theatre and no seats that were not separated by 10 rows, thus my fiancé and I were not able to sit together to watch this movie. We went back downstairs to try to find a solution to our problem, whereupon we immediately ran into a gentleman who happened to be the General Manager (I have forgotten his name). I explained, and he offered to find us another show but owing to the 2+hour gap in time until the next showing we decided this would not work, as we still had a drive back to Longview, WA ahead of us for after the show. He refunded our tickets, gave us 4 free movie passes, and bought back our popcorn for our troubles. This is exactly the sort of customer service, on Christmas Day no less, that often goes un-mentioned or forgotten in todays society. I am very happy with the outcome of our experience, and in future I will be happy to go back to this theatre, as well as to tell all of my friends about it.

For a downtown theater I really love this AMC location, the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the older chairs in the theaters that have yet to be replaced. The selection of movies is always very good and I love how they show a good deal of foreign films along with the Broadway productions Phantom Events puts on weekly, granted all that might mean that every once in awhile I have to go to the north or south with the kids for more family oriented movies but this has happened only twice in the two years I can remember since living in Downtown. Always friendly and helpfully staff willing to please the customer, fresh popcorn, candy and a ton of soda options. They also have a nice little adult lounge upstairs with coffee drinks and more adult beverages such as beer and wine for those who are looking to unwind a bit before or perhaps get the bad taste out of your mouth after a bomb of a movie is over....lol All in all a great little location to catch a movie at in the midst of downtown Seattle when you wanna just get away from realty for a few hours!

The theater is understaffed and everything takes ages. If you plan to see a movie here you should plan to arrive at least an hour before previews start. On my last two visits I arrived 15 minutes before showtime and still missed the first 5 minutes of the films. They are currently offering a $5 Tuesdays special and the deal is only offered at the box office, so you have to see an actual cashier to get your tickets. Last Tuesday it took over 45 minutes just to get tickets because they had a single cashier at the box office (but two people inside tearing tickets? Why?). Then again at concessions it took half an hour to get a pretzel and a coke because they had a single cashier (but again, had several people standing around outside of individual theaters waiting to check tickets).

This is a very well set up mall in the high end range. The mall itself is airy and open, with stores arranged on the edges such that you can see everything from the ground floor. Shops vary from Lululemon to Williams-Sonoma, with food vendors on the ground and top floors and a multi-level Barnes & Noble on the basement and ground floors. Theres a really helpful concierge team at a booth on the ground floor, and staff in the stores vary in capability. Just dont go in expecting to find lower end stores, even if BCBG has 50% off sales racks in the back year round.

Very good cinema, plenty of screens, good selection of first-run movies, both mainstream and foreign (youll usually find a Chinese movie playing here, though they dont stay around long, so catch them when you see them playing). The picture & sound quality is great, comfy seats, lots of food at the concession stand, and cheap parking in the malls garage. Lots of other stuff to do at the mall before/after your movie, too. Get an AMC membership for regular discounts - the concession purchases count towards your rewards, unlike at other chains.

Seattles best theater will always be the Paul Allen-owned Cinerama, but they do only have one screen. This might as well be the only multiplex downtown. Tons of screens, and far nicer than the Regal by Gameworks (lets be honest...) they even have a decent selection of video games! Overall you cant beat the convenience of parking, shopping, eating, and seeing a movie all in the same building. This theater has a beer garden in it which is a bit strange, I cant imagine many people want to lounge in a movie theater...

Senior specials ARE NOT ADVERTISED…in fact, on Tuesdays it is/was $ 7 all day for this group. When you check movie prices for Tuesdays, it advertises $ 10.50 prices for seniors after the 1st showing. THIS CONTRADICTS THE ACTUAL PRICES FOR TUESDAYS and KEEPS SENIORS AWAY. Why are the Tuesday senior prices not advertised online and in the paper as well as in Sr. centers ??? Isnt it better to have 300 srs attend Tuesday at $7instead of 100 seniors at $10.50??? Plus, concession sales as well.

My favourite movie theater here. Most movie theaters in Seattle I find very lacking (as compared to other countries and maybe states no offense but its true). This one in particular is great, they have a good enough variety of food and the staff is very friendly and will help you promptly. The seatings are great (again compared to others in the city), more comfy seats and the movies look much better, the rooms feel a lot cleaner than in other places. :)

This theater needs an upgrade in the most serious way. The rows of seats are super close together and my knees were practically hitting the seat in front of me and Im only 52". But if that wasnt bad enough the springs in ALL the seats stuck straight out and you end up with springs in your ass. Imagine watching a 2 hour movie with hard metal springs continuously poking in your ass cheeks. Awful.

Ive been here a lot for movie pre-screenings. Its a nice location because its near a bus line, plus the mall location means that you can hang out or come early and do some shopping. I like that you dont have to wait in line outside and there are lots of opportunities for other activities. This theater is always much nicer and cleaner than Regal Meridian down the street, and easily accessible.

You can find a very basic movie theater with a few current movies here. The seats are a little small and the theaters are on the small side. The attendants either forgot to turn on the movie screen or were trying to save the environment since the music was playing for 20 minutes with no picture on the screen. I think the former since they also forgot to give us the 3-D glasses.

This theater tends to host most of the sneak previews that happen in Seattle. Just like any other theater it can get pretty packed but add the fact that it is actually in a mall and it gets worse. It is conventiently located downtown so that is a plus and they have a concession stand on both levels. At one point they used to serve beer and wine from the upstairs look out.
