The service is horrible at The Point. The staff are rude and the head of security, Don, could not have been more unprofessional. We checked in late Saturday night and although there were two employees, only one was helping guests check in. When it was finally our turn, I did not get a friendly vibe at all. We mentioned that we were there for a wedding and that a block had been reserved (since before the hotel was even fully finished being built) and if we could check on the 10% discount and she answers with "Oh, I dont know. Ive been on vacation so I know nothing." This block of reserved rooms also did NOT end up being a block together at all- we were spread all throughout the hotel because "they were down two house maids." We wanted a block of rooms together to avoid any noise complaints since we were celebrating a wedding in the VIP guest suite followed by going to the Boom Room for dancing. When Don came up from head of security to notify the group of the noise complaint, he ended up screaming AT THE BRIDE, saying that he is kicking everyone out, everyone in the party. That is about 40+ rooms of the hotel (out of the 90 total rooms) that he was threatening to kick out. Don said the VIP suite (which was about $350/night with a room, player suite, bar, and kitchen area) can only have two people in it. He said the noise complaints came from next door... no chance. Everyone down the hall was aware of the wedding celebration and partook in some form. Don used words like "dude" and laughed at the Bride and Grooms faces when they tried to contact the Marketing Director, taunting them by saying "oooh are you trying to get me fired? Im not losing my job. We already have your money, Im kicking you guys out." When we finally thought things were settled, we moved to the Boom Room since we had 30 seats reserved to dance and avoid any noise complaints in the hotel itself. After about 10 minutes, Don followed and tried starting another altercation, preventing us from going on the dance floor and didnt give us ANY reason for why we werent allowed to head down to our reserved area. It was all so disappointing and although a few of the staff was trying to figure things out, it was just a ridiculous night. Thank you to the staff that truly tried. Thank you Shelby for doing what you can. Don, I have other words for you.

The Point Casino is currently expanding to add a hotel. It seems that this has not affected the service in the casino, which is a plus. The construction inconvenience has been minimal, although there is some lingering annoyances in the parking lot. I do feel like this casino would have been much better off adding a parking garage. There are a great deal of slot machine choices at this casino, but "favorites" are limited and always in use. It would be good if they were to add several more of the most popular games, not just adding new games that nobody has heard of yet. The table games are extremely limited at this time, but they are very rarely filled regardless. The dealers are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, which is a plus. The Point Casino has a buffet available, but it is quite often understaffed. The food is decent, but not outstanding. There is nearly zero options for diabetics as sugar is used in absolutely every dish. I should mention that the buffet is "all you can eat" and there are specials quite often where you can buy one meal and get another free (Wednesdays.) There is another, much more upscale, restaurant, but the opening times and menu is hard to find and quite confusing. It seems to always be closed. This casino loses 2 stars for these reasons: Guests are charged 50 cents for bottled water, which is just bizarre to me as a person who has been to dozens of casinos. Also, as someone who frequents the point quite regularly, there has been a clear decrease in machine payouts since construction started on the hotel. Many machines have broken buttons, and often machines cannot be used due to "printer is out of paper." I would not remove any stars for The Point Casinos staff, as they have all been knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and well-spoken. Another plus is that the security for the parking lot is quite good (but I still feel that a parking garage would have made so much more sense to include during the building of the hotel.)

Went here to have some lunch with my brothers and a friend while spending the weekend at our cabin in Kingston. We waited 20 minutes for a server to take our orders, after the menus had been given to us and another 30-40 minutes for our meals to arrive(with only 1 other table being served). The food was average and my brother, who ordered a steak medium-rare was given a very well done steak instead. He informed the server and they took it right back and went to make another. Sounds good right? When the new steak arrived it was medium-rare and they even offered to take 25% off our bill. That is until we requested that the bill be split, then they said that we got nothing instead. We argued that it shouldnt matter wether or not we split the bill and the server became very rude even though we were being polite about it. After arguing with her for a little while we decided to ask to see her manager. She pointed to a pit boss watching the gambling table nearby and told us we could go talk to him. We insisted that she go get him like any decent server should. When the pit-boss arrived, mind you these are the people making sure dealers and other players dont cheat, he immediately told us "too bad" and that we wouldnt get the discount. At this point we were understandbly angry and asked "so your server lied to us?" he said yes and then he was asked "So what, youre all a bunch of liars here?" he replied with "Yeah, we are." turned his back on us and walked away. They admit to lying to their customers and obviously dont care one bit about them. We were civil and respectful up till the end and got treated like dirt. I wouldnt ever go here to eat again and with such a lack of intergrity within their gambling portion I defintely wouldnt ever gamble here. Stay away! Theres other casinos to go to.

This place is the rudest casino Ive ever been to the employees are rude unfriendly we stayed in our RV for five days and you pay twenty dollars and if you play for two hours you get reimbursed well we would spend well over that in two hours so its not about the money but we was made to feel like we was a inconvenience being there if I went to go pay I was told how many days you been here already you can only stay five days ya I know but its only been three so whats the problem we are the only RV in area so not like its over booked security told us management didnt want us there we never was loud it cause problems but was treated very disrespected the tribe should be embarrassed the way they treat people.......I would like to make a addendum on my review I shouldnt say all the employees are rude because some have been exceptionally friendly like Loraine from the club card area she was helpful and concerned about issues that happen and stood up for us because she knew that they where wrong and was very apologetic not like upper management I was talking about security being that over zealous on there policies I am all for following them to but I feel they can be executed in a manner that isnt rude it degrading you know the saying get more bees with honey then vinegar so cop knocking on RV doors five minutes after check out it is not cool um sending maintenance at ten oclock in morning to do weed eating around RV and vehicle peppering it with rocks is also not right I just feel we are deserved a apologie from security and upper management who said they didnt want us here the only thing Im guilty of is spending to much money in your establishment
