ShoWare: you have an excellent sized arena for most of the shows/events you have....but your management sucks. WE the users and tax payers of Kent and surrounding area, are learning you arent paying for yourself (no secret) and costing taxpayers over a Million or more extra a year, operating in the Red majority of the time. Contracts with long term local teams were sweetened for the teams leaving slim to none profits to pay and maintain the facility. A new mayor in 2017 will help and contracts should be reviewed and adjusted according to revenue brought in my the artists/events... The people are being skewerd!...and they want our venue to be self substaing and not robbing money every year from the General funds....Lets vote for a new strong mayor and ask them (city counsil) to create a better revenue stream from there.

While the facility may be nice, getting tickets is a totally different experience. I tried to purchase them online, but their server kept rejecting my card for some reason (and yes, I verified the money was in there lol). I then called the ticketing number assigned and explained the situation. They told me I could purchase tickets over the phone, but that I would have to incur a 2.00 fee to to so. Rediculous! I explained it wasnt my fault that their server wasnt working, and that I shouldnt have to pay a fee for that. She then directed me directly to the showware center number because there was nothing else she could do. I called, and called, and called. Every single time it went to voicemail. I left a voicemail, and never received a phone call back. Looks like Ill be going to disney on ice at a different venue.

My cousin and I went to a Seattle Thunderbirds game this past weekend against the Portland Winter Hawks. Thankfully, they didnt play against the Spokane Chiefs (my hometown team) because it wouldve been an embarrassing experience. The majority of the staff were nice and welcoming, except the security lady, who treated me like I was clueless, since I forgot to show her my belt loop on the way in. Also, the goal song was cruel, especially when they played "HEY" and I did "HEY, GO T-BIRDS" every time they scored and after that part was done, they would say that their opponent SUCKS (we had a similar incident against our local rival down in Kennewick when I was younger). As long as the T-Birds dont play the Chiefs when I come over this way, Ill attend another hockey game.

I created an account just to rate the Showare Center. My roomate and i were very excited to see A Day To Remember here in April. We showed up, and much to our surprise, the tickets we bought for the floor were no longer valid for the floor, we had to sit in the seats. We were looking forward to being on the floor, seeing as how it was a rock show and we love being in the middle of the action. When we tried to move to the floor, we were told we were not allowed to and that we were not allowed to stand in our reserved seats to enjoy the show either. We wasted over $78 on this show, and we didnt enjoy any of it.

Terrible Sound and Lighting! We brought a group of people to see the Iron Butterfly/Steppenwolf concert Saturday night. The performers had to stop and talk to the sound guy many times during the show. Several of the lighting canisters on the stage fell/swung over during the show. A huge piece of stage skirting was missing on the front of stage. Very unorganized and AMATEURISH! This looked like a Junior High concert! The entire Showare center staff should be ashamed of themselves and held accountable to the tax payers of this city owned venue. What an embarrassment to the City of Kent!

Venue is fantastic for Kent, but administration and organization is disappointing at best and probably more accurately appalling. You are allowed no outside food or beverage at all (pathetic compared to policies of Seattle venues). The free parking on-site would be a great perk if any member of the parking Army had any idea how to handle themselves. 100% of the time the sign in front says "lot full" there are additional spots. With this being the case I question the value the extensive parking staff brings to the spectator experience at the Showare Center.

The hockey stadium is nice and can also be conveniently reached with public transport. The seating is nice and the view is great. Even from the last row you believe youre very close to the ice. I think theres barely bad seats in this stadium. Eateries around the hockey stadium do exist, but in a very small amount making them frequently overcrowded. Food and drinks within the facilities are at fair prices and quality. The main purpose going here was to watch hockey and this is a very good stadium to watch it.

ShoWare is a nice place. I dont care for the location much, as I dont like going into the valley if I can avoid it, but the City of Kent has done a great job cleaning up the area immediately around ShoWare and Kent Station and making them places that a person might actually want to be. ShoWare itself it bright, beautiful, and clean (as clean as a place with a few thousand visitors can be, at least). And best of all, its home to the Thunderbirds, which is the primary reason to ever go there.

Went to a Mist game earlier this year... handicap parking is bullshit, Ticket people were RUDE, the crowd was unruly, but then again I went there to see some T&A and I got to see a lot of that. Those gals are the real deal. They are pretty, sexy and the toughest bitches in the PNW. Ill be seeing the Scorpions this Friday, Ill be sure to show early to avoid the predicted bullshit in the parking lot. Ill let ya know how the sound was...

Went and seen the Newsboys and Rivals concert. It was absolutely amazing. Ive never been to the shower center before that. My eyesight isnt good at all and my seat was 102 row 1 seat 11. I was amazed at how well I could see everything. They have it shut up and shut your way that even if you dont have the money to buy the most expensive seats youre still going to get a good view

Excellent venue for hockey. It is considered an enviromently friendly facility. The acoustics are good for music events. (Wish they had more though) Parking is plentiful including free options. They could use more food options and beer prices are high as I would except for a place like this. The website is excellent for finding and purchasing tickets.

I have been to the Showare center a handful of times and each time was for a Thunderbirds hockey game. It is a pretty small venue but has all of the features of the big boys. The only problem with this location is there is limited parking in the Showare lot and all of the surroundng buisinesses have signs up saying "No Event Parking".

Nice venue, we saw the Ringling Brothers Circus here. its big enough to not feel overly crowded, but small enough so that youre right where you can see the show and not feel like youre a hundred miles away from the action. The seating was comfortable an easy access to all parts of the center made this an extraordinary experience.
