Really rude staff. They tell you that bumpers are only for kids. Bumpers shouldnt matter for age, its for skill. I usually go with younger members of my family and they dont have fun just throwing it in the gutter, so bumpers are necessary for them. Also one time I went and requested bumpers for some of my young cousins but they wouldnt allow it because I was bowling with them in the lane, but they gave bumpers to some teenagers the lane next to us, when I confronted a manager about it they claimed "they didnt see it". I will never go to this establishment again, King pinz is now my bowling alley of choice, they have better customer service, and dont care what age you are for bumpers....

I have been here a number of times. The lanes are good, the bowling ball selection and quality is mediocre, and the shoes are OK. The biggest problem is the service. First off they wont split bills, ever!! Who goes bowling with friends and pays for everybody?!? Come on. So if you are going to go make sure you have cash. The staff isnt very friendly either, but there unfriendliness doesnt take away from the bowling itself. You just have to deal with it at the beginning and end. Overall its an average bowling alley. I have definitely been to better run places.

had a blast with the family on Sunday night. they have a special after 9pm, all you can bowl for $6.99 (closing at 12:30am). The special is for Sunday to Thursday, and $13.99 on Fridays. The manager is a great guy. He saw we had a little child and kept the adjacent lanes offline as much as possible to provide some buffer room. Very accommodating for birthday parties (no minimum guest roster or weeks in advance notice). Food is a bit pricey but they have alcohol and an array of food. Highly recommend for a late night dates and parties. Well be back again!

OK, I just went a couple of days ago and I have good news! BOWL AMERICA IS SMOKE FREE NOW!!!!!!!!! When I walked up to the front door, I was preparing myself for the giant cloud of smoke that I thought was going to hit me when I walked in, but, on the door there was a sign that said "Effective Dec. 1st in compliance with Virginias new smoke-free law, smoking will no longer be allowed at this Bowl America location" Anyway, besides that, the service has also improved since last time! I now give it 4 stars!

My family goes here occasionally and its quite a fun place. The food is delicious, especially the buffalo wings. The place is usually packed on the weekends and the line goes to the door. What surprises me is that the lanes always mess up with the score somehow, requiring you to enter it manually.

My experience was amazing besides the fact that the guy who checked us out was very how would I say ummm not friendly is what I would say but I ignored him and had a blast the music is very fun and they had amazing food familys big and small or familys visiting is perfect for this awesome area

Bowl America Dranesville is an excellent bowling alley to play for fun or in a league. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Gyula is an outstanding manager and he is willing to help individials improve their bowling skills. It is definitely the best bowling alley in Northern Virginia!

Do not ever go to this location. The staff is rude and incompetent. One of the managers, an African American lady was especially rude to my friends and me. If you want to go bowling, go some place else where you wont be disrespected and you can get your moneys worth.

The place is fun, but could use better selection of balls. The guy at the counter is kinds quiet, especially for that position. The young girl is very friendly and you can hear her instrictions clearly. A little customer service goes along way

Bowling here is good. There is an arcade and exceptional food. This bowling alley is very good for families when you have the blast pass.(The blast pass gets you free bowling, no shoes included, you can get it on the bowl America site.)

Classic old school bowling alley with helpful staff. We have a corporate event every year and they always make it seamless. Laid back atmosphere and good prices on pitchers. They added a full bar and have a lot of food options.

Total dump! Horrible! The lanes didnt function properly and so they moved us. The next lanes were even worse. We spent more time waiting on them to fix and reset than bowling! Never coming back!

Our school goes here with campers. They were nice. Even let our kidsdrink water from water fountain. Other places forced us to bring nothing even bottle water. Thanks!
