They are extremely proud of their food and beer, bring your wallet, bring extra .I was looking on a whim to try a local.spot and figured I would go for it and commit to get food here. I ordered the cheapest sandwich they had .It said 8.99. I got a small pile of pork and fat on a 20 cent hamburger bun with 0 bbq sauce on the sandwich . I had to ask for some bbq sauce after I had checked the to go bag .The waitress then gave me about a half a bottle of bbq sauce for 1 tiny sandwich I walked out the door 12 dollars less on my pocket wow. There was no fork and knife in the bag or napkins and it just felt very cafeteria to me. I would get some local baker to supply custom buns instead of using family dollar hamburger buns for 11.99 with tax for a tiny sandwich . The flavor of the food was ok rather hickory smoke and the cole slaw was basically flavorless. The whole bar felt a little dirty and the music was too loud but it was decent rock station and not rap hip pop randb. I will say that the waitress was nice ,about 21 but clueless how to make a to go.order. They did write a little nice note on the to go box and they are trying, but I feel they need a better executive chef or get a real chef to fix this place up to justify there rather pricy menu. The mens bathroom had no mirror when you wash your hands and no privacy .It was also somewhat but not too dirty. This place has a great location and has potential but needs a serious top to bottom cleaning rework and look through on everything. Tho if you have the money it is a decent bbq spot if you dont mind paying the prices. Beer was outrageously expensive as well like 6 dollars a glass for the stuff on the chalkboard . I do not like to write reviews like this but it needs looked at how to improve this place because it can be better IMO and I would come again

The atmosphere was okay the staff was friendly but I came there for the food, only to be disappointed! MY daughter had the macaroni and cheese which came with toast. Her macaroni and cheese was very Bland and flavorless, her toast was burned. I had the SmokeHouse Burger which was okay but the burger was dry if it wasnt for the condiments on it I would have choked, I up sized my fries that came with my burger I added cheese and bacon, the bacon was burned the cheese was string not sauce and the fries were fried so hard that there was no more potato inside them, they replace them but still at the same time I feel like I wasted $30 I will not be returning to this location or to Mojo Bones ever again.

They have great BBQ. Great pulled pork. But them sides are terrible. The greens taste like they dropped them in water and cooked them with no seasonings or anything. The so called beans taste like they poured them staright from the can no seasonings again. The Mac n cheese is bland with no constancy to it, it taste blah is the best I can explain it. I will give two thumbs up for the cornbread its excellent. Also meat to side ratio doesnt match up especially when its cheaper to buy sides then meat these days. They need to up they game on the way the sides taste as well as the portions they give. But I would go back just for the meat and cornbread they can keep them nasty sides.

Do not order the blackend chicken sandwich with grilled onions & mushrooms, cheddar & house sauce...it doesnt exist! Instead, you get two fried chicken strips on a roll with warm onions, slice of cheese barely melted and cold mushrooms. Worst sandwich I ever had. When I asked the server about it she said they no longer serve grilled chicken anymore. Then change the damn menu!!! Since all I ate was the chicken and fries I should only be charged for a chicken basket. Very disappointing from our previous visits.

Much better than the downtown Norfolk location re ambiance & some of the food. Tried the deviled eggs based on a previous review & they are awesome! Had the bbq chicken dark meat, tender, & awesome bbq sauce. Cornbread very good, soft & sweet. Slaw was too vinegary for me, but thats a matter of individual taste, I like it more creamy & sweet, but kudos for it being freshly made here, not prepackaged. Also some draft beers rarely found on tap. I will definitely go back.

The only consistent thing I have experienced with Mojos is cold, disappointing food & messed up orders. The first mishap I attributed to bad luck, even though we called ahead for the large order (6 people). The second time around was not any better. Though, the staff was nice & they have a stage for music on the busy weekends. I had heard such good things about Mojos, but when it comes to food, it wasnt even close to hitting the mark.

Best wings in the area, hands down! couldnt find a single thing on the menu that i did NOT like :) gator and fried green tomatoes are surprisingly delicious and i enjoy the quick and curtious staff and the prices are decent. the pulled pork definitely hits the spot, i highly recommend to anyone in the area to check it out, especially on Wednesday nights if you like to try new local brews for cheap, along with 30 cent wings!

Definitely some awesome BBQ! My only two issues were price and service though. The food is just a little overpriced considering how much food you get but the quality is pretty great! Another issue I had was the service. One time we ordered just 2 appetizers that took nearly an hour and a half even though the place was basically empty. Some of the best BBQ Ive had in Norfolk though!

Food was good. Music was good. Service was not. Waitress disappeared for around 30 minutes prioritizing a table with their friends at it. There were only four tables occupied and there were plenty of waitstaff. Surprise $0.50 charge on receipt for credit cards. This charge is not disclosed anywhere. I do not like being nickeled and dimed. I will not be returning.

Right across the street from the beach, the location is really awesome. Maybe I just love food a lot, but the BBQ was wonderful. I ate a whole rack of ribs without realizing it, and was sad it was gone afterwards. Our server, Amy, is one of those people who just memorizes the groups order, and she delivered our meal without error. Props to her!

Its kind of hit & miss w/ this hang out spot. 1st time was best ribs ever w/ horrible screaming tone deaf music. Next time was cold & dried out food w/ an OK band. Service is terrible! 1 server at a time & takes bout an hour for food. Too crowded for such a small place. Ull love the awesome brisket,Cajun fries & honey cornbread!
