Ive been here once, for lunch, whereupon I had the fish and chips. Im British myself, and always enjoy the opportunity to try an American take on a British culinary staple: I can tell you that the food was good, and the atmosphere was friendly, as well as the service being excellent also. We were greeted by an Argentinian host at the door, and struck up a short conversation about soccer while we waited to be seated, and he made us feel very welcome. The only reason I have rated four stars is that (and its not exactly their fault) I have told others about this place, as well as tried going back myself on two more occasions, only to find out it wasnt open. Again, I realize this is as much my fault as it is theirs, and I didnt really realize that I must have gone for lunch on a weekend, but I feel like its a shame to have such limited hours. They probably have good reason to open at 3 during the week, but I feel like a "pub" style restaurant is seriously missing out on some good business by not being open to serve lunch. I cant say it enough, though, that my experience was very good, and I know I will gladly be back (as well as recommend it to others) for more.

I had dinner there a few days ago while in town. Food was good, overall seemed like a good place. The turn offs were the bartenders pay attention to what I assumed were regulars and while I sat at the bar I was rarely checked on or taken care of. The place is not cheap, not a problem, but dont nickel and dine me. 15 fries with my burger.... seriously? I asked for raw onion with the lettuce and tomato, seems like a standard item to come on the side of a $10 burger. $.50 charge on my bill and NOT even a full slice, it was 3... THREE, rings of onion NOT even a slice. How can you charge for raw onion let alone a few rings left over from the salad you made earlier????? If you charge me $10 for a burger, and add on from there, plus $6.50 a drink give me a good meal. I travel often and I am not a big eater but actually left hungry, have not had that happen to me in a long while.....

Just so so. Ive been to this restaurant several times with family and friends. Weve had a variety of dishes and weve tried several of the beers. And nothing here has been that great. Pretty mediocre. At best. Had the fish and chips last night thinking that was an easy dish that was hard to screw up. But the fish was greasy and the batter it was dipped in was flavorless and unseasoned. The fries were truly unremarkable. Ive honestly had much better fish and chips at a pretty crappy bar in DC. My son had a pasta dish , penne something, and didnt really like it. My wife had the Korean tacos. I tried one and it was very bland. How do you make Korean food bland?! Sheesh. Well after going to this restaurant 5 times, Im done.

Meh, It was average. I had the fish and chips, the other person at the table had a burger. They were both average at best. My fish was super greasy and the fries were kind of cold. I got a house salad with the green goddess dressing and that was pretty tasty. The burger was over-cooked, hed asked for it medium and it was certainly well done, the onion rings he got were super tasty though. He got the chip nachos for an appetizer and I had a couple they were alright but certainly not worth what we paid for them. We didnt have any beer, wasnt in the mood to drink but hopefully they are a bit better than the mediocre food. The service was alright. The waitress we had wasnt the most attentive but she wasnt awful either.

I have to say I couldnt have beer more disappointed in a Maryland brewery. The food was quite good but we were habitually ignored by the bartender, who seemed either sick or hung over and preoccupied with the only other customer in the place. Her general demeanor was very unfriendly, her attention was difficult to get and our repeated requests for waters went unanswered. Took 20 minutes to change a keg for a beer that kicked and we were not asked if wed prefer a different beer instead. Beyond that the beer was very bland and not very creative. We were quite ready to go once our bill arrived.

Everything was outstanding: handsome building, dark furniture, attentive wait staff and management, and especially the food! The artichoke spinach dip with crab was perfectly balanced between cheese, vegetables, meat, and seasoning. The pork chops were cooked precisely to medium-well temperature, with heavy grill marks, and a strong smoke taste (different than any pork chop I remember). The seared tuna salad was fresh and beautiful, with a great crust on the tuna. All the staff were dressed impecabbly, so we initially mistook the manager for a backwaiter when she was helping us.

Great place! This place was recommended by a couple locals to go to. I recommend the same. Food is amazing, beer is top notch, and wait staff were great. While I was waiting for my group to show up, I happened to meet the owner and had a good conversation about the craft beer. He gave me some pointers about my own craft beer that I intend to do. If you are in town, stop in and enjoy. I walked out with a growler of their I.P.A.

The last few times I went to Ruddy Duck were positively fun! Damion Wolfe played there, and he did an amazing job - playing covers of your favorite bar songs as well as his own music. I WILL go back to see him again! The brews are always delicious, and the food always tasty. I have not had bad service EVER either. The owner, Carlos, was very pleasant - he runs a great restaurant. Thanks for an awesome time Carlos!

Food was good. The deserts were awsome. Food Atmosphere is nice, nicely decorated but the service was slooooow. Everyone at the table with empty drinks. food took over 40 minutes. Only seen the server 5 times and we were there 2 hours. Glad I wasnt trying to get a buzz on, it would never happen with this service. Extremely slow service. Would be 5 stars if not for the service.

Food was good- for a Sysco Truck. Nothing fresh or original about this "seafood" place. Didnt even serve local fish like rockfish- they offer cod... Manager was completely rude, and waitress treated us like uneducated rednecks whom she didnt have time for. Bugs would have spit on this place- it serves his legacy poorly. But the beer was delicious.

Staff is friendly but seafood is less than average. Had the crab cakes special include 2 cakes, fries and slaw. It was twice the cost of most menu items but was just two soggy scoops that both has pieces of shell in them. The sauce the crab was mixed with his the favor of the crab. Come here for the craft brewed beers but not the food.

Beer, beer, beer! Brewpub with excellent choices - they vary accordlng to time of month or year, so check back occasionally to see what's new. Buy a growler and refill to take home for less! Good mix of locals & out-of-towners. Good spot - you come in and you want to stay, which is how a pub should make you feel.
