EDIT: I have since talked with Mr. Bowles, General Manager. He has apologized for the glitch (computer malfunction) and personally delivered some restitution. While I am still disappointed in what happened below, they have been a good company dealing with my complaint. Easy change to 3-star and I look forward to giving them the chance again to earn a 5. Thank you Mr. Bowles! ORIGINAL: Had a 4:00 am pick-up and no one showed up. Called the dispatch and I was told about 10 minutes away. I waited for 10 minutes called back and was told they were on the way the driver tried to call but my number wasnt working. Got a call from the driver seconds later, she was in the same spot dispatch had told me over 10 minutes ago!!!! Scrambled quickly to my car and called dispatch again who asked if I wanted another cab sent. Had to use long term parking, $70, and I almost missed my flight. Sent an email on Monday from the tarmac and I still have yet to hear from them. If you need reliable transportation, I would definitely choose someone else! Too bad Google doesnt allow zero stars.

Pretty much the only show in town, unfortunately every time you call them for what they call an "estimate time of arrival" its off by at least double what they say. Heck, sometimes they get there early, dont announce themselves and drive off and report a no show. The tracking app they have is useless. Ive tracked a cab on the way to my house and checked google maps to make sure.... that my driver stopped at a convenience store for a 20 minute detour (one I know doesnt have a fueling station). This is probably one of the worst ran businesses Ive ever experienced. Theres no managorial change that will fix what wrong with this company. Ive had at least 15-20 different drives, and Im confirmed for myself its a company culture. Any 5 star review here is fake, it doesnt make sense. Im actually emailing google so they can make sure. Seriously, help our community and stay away from this business.

This past weekend, I had a reservation with Yellow Cab for a 5am pick-up going to the airport. This reservation was made 48 hours in advance. By 4:55am I had yet to receive a confirmation text so I called the dispatcher only to be told that all available cabs were currently on their way to the airport with other customers but that one of them could pick me up afterwards (this would have meant that they would be at least 30 minutes late, if not more, which is no good for someone with a flight to catch). To quote Seinfeld, this company knows how to take reservations, but they just dont know how to hold reservations. And thats really the most important part of the reservation: the holding. I ended up cancelling my "reservation" and calling an Uber. For anyone thats worried, apparently there are typically around four or so Ubers available near the UVA campus early on Sat/Sun mornings.

Not honest! On Oct 10, I ordered a taxi to be at the university at 11:15h. I ordered teh taxi one hour ahead. The cab wasnt there on time so I called back. A ladey told me 7-8minutes. Well again, nothing happened. 15 minutes later I called again. They said it was en route and due scheduling difficulties it was late. It should be there in 5 minutes. After half an hour I gave up. I missed my apointment across town. This is is totally ridiculous. They should just honestly tell me, Sorry, we dont have a taxi. Instead they want to have just the business. You create total customer dissatisfacion and I will never use this company again!

Called Yellow Cab for a 4.30 am pickup to the airport for a flight at 5.10am. Called to confirm at 12.30 am. At 4.40am, I call dispatch and my driver is no where to be found. Dispatch tells me that they will send another driver in 5 mins. No driver shows up. So I have to take my car and use long term parking, and I missed my flight. I call Yellow Cab to complain and I was told the Manager would call me. I end up paying extra for additional flight and the cost of the long term parking. If you need a ride use someone else, or just call the driver directly!! There is no accountability.

Dishonest company. I scheduled a ride for my daughter on New Years Eve. I was told by the dispatcher that the fare would be FREE because she was coming home from a party. The driver (Antonio), however, refused to honor this promise and insisted my daughter pay a $15 fare. This was a scam in which the company or the driver lied to extract a fare. Stay away. I would not trust this operation. When I tried to object by responding to the text I received, it refused to accept my texts. I am not in the habit of writing reviews, but find this outfit disreputable.

Horrible. Booked through online and also called the evening before to confirm that they had my booking correct for taxi to airport. Never received a text to tell me that they were on the way so had to call the dispatcher who told me they didnt have any drivers available (this was 10 minutes before my scheduled pick up time!) Finally had a driver show up 20 minutes late, was late to airport, couldnt check in luggage, and almost missed my flight. Never use this service if you want to make your flight.

Scheduled a cab online for the airport. Booking was confirmed and then they never showed up. Dispatch said 10 minute eta when I called at the scheduled time, then when I called ten minutes later they told me they didnt actually have any cabs on the road. I had to scramble at 430 in the morning to get my car and get to the airport. Cost me an extra $30 in parking. Generally their cabs are new cars and in good shape, and decent drivers, but I wouldnt count on the online scheduling feature.

Spent 5 minutes on the phone and they couldnt even answer the simple question of what their rates are. Pitiful. In response to their reply, rates are easy, you have the drop charge (what the meter starts at), the rate per mile, and the rate for waiting time. He couldnt tell me any of these. I didnt ask for an estimate. Being a cabdriver, and part time dispatcher, you cant try to blow smoke up my butt with your double talk.

Doesnt even deserve one star. Horrible service!!! I scheduled the day before for a 445 am pickup. At 5 am they still were a no show. I call again and she says theu are one minute away. The cab driver says he didnt get a call for he didnt get a call to pick me up until 454 am. DO NOT use yellow cab. Uber or private driver strongly suggested. You will be late if you depend on yellow cab!

I called for a 345am taxi to get to an early flight at the airport. Its now past 350am with no cabs in site. I called and they claimed someone was on the way. My honest review is just to only call this cab service if you are a 10-15 minute late type of person and not punctual. Heres to me trying to make my flight. Edit: driver drove pretty fast so i still made it on time
