Beaver meadows is a great place to visit to be a part of nature. It is layed out with many trails so you can experience many different habitats.The trails are well groomed and marked so you can easily move from one area to another with many places to stop and observe or meditate. Great photo ops of fauna and flora. A bird watchers paradise. A beautiful lodge houses mounted bids of the area as well as a live reptile and amphibian room. Every child (young and old) needs to spend some time in the tree in the childs exploring room. We had a wonderful day ending with a picnic lunch in a shelter available for large groups.

Its bit out of the way but beautiful and the hiking trails are are well upkept. It was cold, winding, and muddy during my visit but we were still out there for a good 2 hours.

Beautiful place to hike and learn about the native flora and fauna. But better go potty before you get started. Maybe theres facilities in the visitors center?
