A friend and I decided to spend a day in Charlottesville, wine tasting. Blenheim Vineyards (Dave Matthews Vineyard) was our second stop. The Vineyard and views of Blenheim were spectacular! Dave apparently helped design the building. You walk into the top floor of a gorgeous "Aspen log cabin"- complete with huge glass windows, overlooking the vineyard. There were also restrooms- which is always a great thing! You could look through a glass ceiling below you, right into the wine cellar- which was a nice touch! The staff were excellent, and enthusiastic about their wines. The wine was okay, not the best, but not the worst either. There were tables inside for enjoying a glass/ bottle, or you could go out on the extended porch, and see the stunning views of the vineyard and farm itself. Tastings were $5 and you could pay by Credit Card/ Cash. Overall, even though the wine was not my favorite, the views and atmosphere definitely made it worth the trip. And for $5 a tasting, you cannot go wrong by stopping in for a visit!

The wines here are always top quality, in the Burgundy style, which may not suit some visitors personal tastes, as noted in some of the reviews. I have never had a bad bottle of Kirstys wine. Her attention to quality and detail is obvious and her staff are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance, both inside and out, makes Blenheim Vineyards a relaxing destination for wine lovers everywhere.

Our wedding was held here and it was nothing more than perfection! Amanda was great to work with! we also are wine club members and love Ellen in the tasting room! she is the best!! Also- and key, the wine is incredible. People at the wedding who are a bit snobbish about wine loved all three options we gave them! (claim house white, claim house red, and rose!)

Beautiful place. The staff needs some training on what to say to customers. Was told we had to leave the wine area sharply at 5:15 but could be on upstairs patio to finish wine by 5:25 and off property by 5:30 so the staff could drink. Yes Dave Mathews thats what we we are told. You can think it but dont say it. #thisjusthappened

I thought it was a wine tasting experience should be with an incredible view. No one was pushing me to buy anything... they didnt have too. The tastings sold the wine. I just wish they sold it here in the Carolinas. Dreaming Tree is great but Blenheim has some explosive tastes for the taste buds!

Gorgeous new vineyard with pretty solid wine. The deck right outside has tables and a fantastic view. The cabin has a great feel and atmosphere inside. I only docked a star because I personally did not enjoy the wine here quite as much as some close-by competitors, but it was still very good.

Blenheim winery is a perfect spot to visit as you tour Virginias wine country. A limited selection of some quite nice whites and a couple of reasonable reds. Definite stop on any wine tour. Please designate a driver or take a wine tour from a local hotel!!

Really hip tasting area. Looks like a modern log cabin, and a deck with a great view of the vineyard and mountains. Good place to bring lunch to eat after tasting. Wine is So-So. Best seems to be the Cab, its priced accordingly.

Loved the cabin look. The glass floor to view the barrels. They ran out of white wine to taste but the reds were delicious. Very pretty deck. Need to clean up the grounds behind deck to make view nicer but loved it

Great staff, beautiful scenery, pleasant atmosphere. I would highly recommend for these reasons- but if youre going for the wine, you are better off going to First Colony near by. Definitely worth visiting though!!

Busy but rightly so! Cute on so many levels as it does have two levels to choose from when wine tasting. As well as fantastic majestic views! It is a must see / stop on your wine tasting stop.

My husband and I were married here in May of 2013. I cant say enough wonderful things about Blenheim. I love all of their wines and the grounds are beautiful. Definitely worth a stop!

Its a small wine selection, but the staff are great. The tasting room and property are gorgeous, rustic, secluded. It gets crowded quick, so go early.
