I went to Arrowhead Spring Vineyards last Thursday with my girlfriend. We were the only ones in the tasting room during our time there. After learning that I was there to write a report for a wine tasting class I am taking the staff offered to give me the tastings for free. We tried the majority of the wine on the menu. The wine they make there is mostly dry and red. I enjoyed the majority of the wines we tried. The 2011 cab sauv might be the best thing on the menu, I would highly recommend it. The 2012 meritage reserve and 2012 chardonnay reserve were also very good and I would recommend them as well. Both of the syrahs we tasted were heavy in flavor and spice. It took some time to get the pepper taste out of my mouth after trying them, I would definitely skip them next time. The Vidal Blanc desert wine we tasted was amazing. Its mango peach flavor could have easily been used as syrup for waffles or have been poured over vanilla ice cream as desert. Overall it was a great visit. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the wines were above par. The wines were a bit overpriced but it is definitely worth a visit.

I and others in my party (4 total) thought this was number one of the five wineries we visited today. They said right up front that they specialize in dry reds, but others who didnt prefer dry reds also said this was #1. The wines were a little more expensive than others we visited ($20-30 range) but they were SO much better. The hostess (maybe a daughter?) was quiet; some may say aloof but we did not feel that way. She was friendly knowledgeable and helpful. The tasting room overlooked the vineyard, which was nice. This place was awesome! Dont pass this one by!

This is my favorite Winery in Western NY. It is worth going just for the view from the tasting room and to enjoy a picnic on their property. The wine is simply amazing. I have never enjoyed a Riesling so much. Not two sweet with wonderful aromas. Their reds are what I usually what I go for in the end. You will not be disappointed.

Really great experience, the host was very polite and guided us excellently through the tasting, ended up buying 4 bottles! The best was the ice wine. Very smoothe and sweet.

Beautiful tasting room. Owner was very sweet and knowledge. You can tell they put a lot of effort into their wine making.
