Where to even start!!!! We loved Morais for our wedding venue!! It is truly the best of both worlds. You have beautiful scenery on a vineyard which makes it special for the guests and for pictures, but then you have a gorgeous AIR CONDITIONED ballroom to keep the wedding formal. I went to about 8 venues on the Chesapeake Bay. Nothing struck me. After seeing pictures of Morais on an acquaintances FB page, I had to see it in person. The second I got there, I chose it. We worked with Nicole and Stacey and both are amazing!!!! They are so professional and will respond to any questions quickly. They were always welcoming to let us come visit so I could show my sister, fiancee, etc. They let us come in for a walk-through and bring our planner and caterer. It was great to have all three in the room at the same time to discuss all the logisitcs. Stacey was amazing during the walk-through, ensuring that all our needs would be met (AC on high, lights go lower after dinner, dance floor as big as possible, lots and lots of wine..). On the day of the wedding, Stacey was also so great to me. Even during pictures she would come find me and see if I needed any water or wine. The ballroom looked gorgeous and it was just as I imagined. All the guests were blown away by the venue!!! Thank you Nicole and Stacey for everything that made our wedding day so perfect! You guys are wonderful!!!!

This dispute has been settled. I have received my money. The owner of Morvais Vineyards has scammed me out of a $500 deposit for my daughter;s wedding. They sent me a deposit with a check that had no signature. I havent heard from them after numerous attempt to contact them. My money has been held for over a year. The vineyard is beautiful, but know that you get nothing for your money except the building. You must supply all of the outside contractors: Catering which includes a separate wine purchase( a must with contract) from the vineyard; florist; table cloths; music, planners(a must with contract); music; and you are responsible for the clean up. Its like renting an empty building and they want a deposit. However, they dont tell you that you wont get it back. I will be taking Joe Morais to court.

The wine was amazing. I loved practically every single one of them, which is rare because Im not usually for the red wines. But the process by which they make the wines makes it enjoyable by practically everyone. It was around christmas time so the place was fairly packed so I can understand why during the tasting it was not as personal. That would be the only thing negative I would have to say is that it felt more like a corporate business versus the relaxing Virginia winery. I recommend it as a must visit for anyone in the area though. I know my family and I will likely be making a yearly trip to pick up some of their delicious Jeropiga.

I enjoyed the wine and the scenery, however the customer service could use some serious work. It was Mothers Day and were a little busy around the bar. We didnt even get any kind of acknowledgment or "Ill be right with you". The employee proving tastings two feet over helped a group that had just walked up after he had finished a tasting when we had been waiting 10 minutes. If they stepped up the customer service it would be a wonderful place that could be a regular spot for us. Pros: gorgeous scenery, wine Cons: zero customer service

One of the best wineries in the area. Out of all the wines tasted, only one wasnt exceptional , but it was good. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Food pairing come with your tasting. Love the design of the tasting room. The event building reminds me of a SW mission. Architecture is Portuguese I believe. The Portuguese-styled wine is worth the trip.

Today, March 12th was my first time at Morais Vineyards. I was immediately drawn into the grand entrance to the tasting room and was especially excited to see they have horses on their property! Fantastic experience with Candace in the tasting room! She was educational and social with us at the same time! Will definitely be back again!

Had a wonderful first experience here! A wide variety of wines and a very knowledgeable staff. The vineyard itself is absolutely gorgeous and the architecture is very whimsical. I would definitely recommend this vineyard to anyone looking for a fun tasting experience.

I went to Morais with my husband and his uncle. The wines were all dry and I was not a fan of any of them. I like dry wines however prefer sweet. The staff was alright, they could work on their customer service. Maybe we went when they were having an "off" day.

Absolutely beautiful! These are Portuguese wines, a must go see and taste. Atmosphere was very calm and relaxing, spent awhile outside on veranda and there was no pressure to pay upfront. Morais pushed my previous no.1 winery down to 2nd.

The Portuguese wines are delicious, not to mention the wonderful staff. Everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly. We absolutely love it here! The sangria they have during the warm season is a must try!

The staff here are absolutely awesome, and their wine is some of the best in the area. Make sure that you try the Port both warm and cold. It is amazing how different it is.
