Positives: well-designed room which was challenging and had some interesting puzzles. Negatives: In all fairness, I think they were having a bad day, but a few things soured my experience: -Door into the building was locked, had to call to be let in. Use your sign outside to let people know this. - Part of the room had been broken the night before by a player, so they scrambled to change the puzzle so we could still play. However, we only found this out while *in the middle of our game when someone came in the room to fix the safe, which was irrelevant to the puzzle anyways*. Please tell people beforehand if something will be different, and dont break the illusion by having someone come in unless absolutely necessary. - Hints were very slow, to the point that they seemed unresponsive. And some hints alluded to puzzles we already solved. Gave me a very strong feeling that the staff was not watching us play. All in all, it seemed like the were having an off day due to having to improvise, but it certainly cheapened our experience. There were 8 people in the room, so they made $200 regardless of what I see as just being careless. Ive been to several escape rooms by other businesses and Im sorry to say that this is the worst Ive seen. Not a terrible experience, but not worth the money I paid.

Wishing it was possible to give a half star review, overall I think that there were too many technical difficulties. Honestly they shouldnt have been doing events with as many difficulties as we experienced, it just created an overall bad experience. The start time was scheduled for 7 so we showed up 15 minutes in advance as asked in the email. We ended up waiting until 7:25 to finally go in, which was beyond frustrating. And then when we were inside the door was not working correctly and we had to come out of the escape room and wait in the hallway for 5-10 while someone fixed the issue that shouldve been fixed prior to having customers in the attraction. Overall very disappointed.

I played The Gauntlet at esc4pe earlier this summer. I was with a team of 5 and we had a blast. Literally the most fun and stimulation Ive had for $25 in a few years. For what its worth, we beat the game and that was really exciting. If we hadnt beat it, I think it would have been nearly as much fun, albeit a little disappointing. This is an excellent way to break the dinner and a movie monotony of weekend entertainment. I here theres one in Williston now, and several up in Montreal. Im looking to play those, and cannot wait for the next room put together by esc4pe!

We had an awesome time at the Esca4e room - Burlington. We were in town for my sons annual birthday trip (he just turned 11), and this time we chose Burlington. We came across the Trip Advisor review for this place. I had never heard of the concept and told my son and his friend about it this. They were quick to agree to going. We were joined by another group of three, and all 6 of us didnt know what to expect. We "solved" the puzzle with seconds to spare. I would highly recommend this activity for any group!! If you have questions, just call. They can answer them.

Ive been to escape rooms in NYC, Los Angeles and other places... and Im super excited to have discovered a great place in my own backyard! Such an asset to have in Burlington, great activity for anyone looking for a unique and interesting way to spend some time. They have a great lounge and you can tell there is a love for what they do here! The puzzle was just right for us, challenging enough that we used a couple of hints and made it out with two minutes to spare. Keep doing what youre doing and we will definitely be back to try the other rooms!

Awesome! Very, very, fun. Definitely challenging. Ive done two different rooms here, each with a full group of other adult friends (8 people in the one room and 10 people in the other), and we finished each of them with only a few minutes to spare. I dont think it would be something that a group of kids or teens would be able to figure out within the time limit, but Im sure theyd have an awesome time solving what they are able.

Ive done both rooms--one with a group of 4 couples, and one with a mixed group of family with ages ranging from 12 to 77. Both times we had an awesome experience. These rooms are really well designed, a lot of fun, and just the right difficulty. Hints are available if the group gets hung up. Great vibe to the place as well, much better than some other Escape Rooms that are located in strip malls.

The Esc4pe room is authentic. It is not a canned franchise set up. I took a group of teenage boys who felt very challenged in comparison to the other room they had visited. The set up is challenging and gadgets are real. This is a great thing to do with a variety of groups i.e. team building, family, group of friends etc. Cant wait for the new plan in the summer.

I cant speak highly enough about this experience. My family of seven went in and had a blast! We range in age from 11 to 65 and everyone was able to contribute something to the puzzle. Im glad that we had a large group because it was tough! Its been a week now, and my family still cant stop talking about Esc4pe!

Great! A fun, and exciting activity. To get a fifth star I think the staff need a little more showmanship and also not have the door to the building locked without instructions on how to get in! (to be clear this isnt part of the puzzle, it is just a shared building that locks the door on weekends)

Went to escape with some buds. Never heard of an escape room until I got into the lobby. To me it was worth the price. Pros: Cool theme feels like I was in a cold war situation from a film. Very well thought of escape room Good challenge Cons: We didnt beat it. We were really close.

Cant recommend it enough! We had 5 guys with us, and it came right down to the wire! Perfect challenge level, reasonable price for an hour of fun.
