GPNY is great fun, and is probably one of if not the most fun places in the tri-state area. Both the uptown and downtown tracks are fun tracks, but Im partial to the Downtown track. It just feels like the more dynamic of the two tracks. If this place is so much fun, then why am I only giving it four stars? Several reasons: The food could be better, and the last time I waited about an hour for my food to come. It could be better managed. There seems to be a general lack of coordination between staff members and areas, such as between reception and the track, and different parts of the staff, and quite frankly sometimes the staff strikes me as being untrained, unprofessional, and incompetent. My only other quip is that the karts handle very inconsistently. Sometimes you get a kart with tight, responsive steering and acceleration, and the next race you end up with a kart that turns loosely and is less responsive on the gas. It couldnt hurt to keep the karts in better shape, would it? I think that some of these problems come with growing pains, as GPNY has started to offer far more forms of entertainment since opening, such as junior racing, bounce castles, stratos karts, etc. GPNY is a great time to be had by all, but I must warn their staff that if they dont keep their stuff together, they will turn from a world-class karting facility to an entertainment facility that has equal status to a run down bowling alley or arcade.

My company had a team building event at GPNY recently and I wanted to share my experience because I really thought it was worthwhile. From our first moment in GPNY, my colleagues and I were taken back by the sheer beauty of the facility and lively atmosphere. GPNY was extremely helpful in providing us with state of the art facilities for our large group of employees to meet in and give presentations in. They provided us with food from their gourmet restaurant- Eau Rouge- that was not only delicious, but also plentiful and fresh. After our presentations we were off to the racetrack to race the Sodi rx7 gas powered go karts. Being an avid racing enthusiast and being a seasoned SCCA racer, I did not expect to be blown away by the go karts, but I was wrong. The racing experience was unlike any other go karting experience i have been to. It was an extremely safe track environment while maintaining the fastest and most exhilarating indoor karting experience available. I highly recommend GPNY to any company looking for a team building experience for its employees. I plan on going back this weekend with my family and making a whole night of it. I will definitely be back!

Great place one of my favorite places to come and blow my paycheck! The facility is always clean and the karts always run extremely well. A lot of fun and the staff is extremely friendly. My son also did the Jr. Racing school and can now race here as well, the instructors were great and he learned a lot about driving and control before he has even driven a car. Now onto the resturaunt, its the perfect place to run to between races for a snack or to hit up for dinner after an exciting night of racing. I recommend the Kobe beef sliders or the penne alla vodka. Overall I would have to say I love Grand Prix and anyone who has ever come with me has loved it as well. Great place that is worth checking out if i could give it 10 stars I would! Family friendly and costumer friendly place. Check it out and maybe ill see you on the track!

It was a pretty cool place when me and my friends went there. Although... the karts werent the greatest honestly. 1. Its really expensive 2. the time on the track is too short and 3. Theres this one guy who always stays there at the karts driving, and hell literally plow into you on the tracks... and no one there will pull him off. It was incredibly annoying as he made me and my friends crash to the side a few times where the staff had to help us get back on the track each time. We didnt even get enough time to actually drive on the track and have fun because of that guy. Apparently I guess that guy visits a lot or hes an employee, because Ive been hearing my friends still see him there, and a few others at my job at a store talked about this place with that same guy.

Me and my family went mainly for the go karts but when we went we found out that members of my family were unable to participate in the normal karts with adults even though they were in their mid-teens. They had to race with the younger kids on a smaller track with slower karts. Also we had to sit through a five minute video of does and donts. Then we had to put fire suits on a race with a neck restraint. This in not necessary for go karts that dont even go over 20 mph. Dont waste your money here go to K1 Speed for more fun cheaper and you dont have to wear any unnecessary equipment.

This is a really nice facility but, if youre into karting, its a waste of time and money. They have really restrictive governors on the karts so its like a concession kart, not a real indoor kart. And, to make matters worse, the karts aren’t close to being even. You would think with the restrictive governor, they would at least get them close. I ran 3 heats and had 2 dogs. There was almost a 2 second per lap difference in the karts and that’s with a 28 second lap. It’s a nice place for kids bit, it’s not a serious indoor kart track.

Its a visually and viscerally stunning place to take your friends, family or work colleagues for a few hours during the day or night, or for a whole day. You just wont believe how beautiful a huge indoor racing facility can be - when you walk in to the main concourse, its a super elegant hang-out and fine-restaurant playing cool music, with a 180 degree view of two incredible indoor race tracks. Its actually almost impossible to do this place justice by trying to explain it, you have to just go there to see it to believe it!

Ive been here over 70 times since it opened! Its a fantastic facility. It is hard to explain just how fun the karts are to drive. There are two 1/4 mile tracks that can be run forwards or backwards. They also combine the tracks to make a 1/2 mile supertrack. Either way, it creates a wonderful race. It is tons of fun to bring all my friends and just hang out for the day, racing and eating. The Restaurant is also amazing. You must check out GPNY!!

We brought our kids here for our sons 14th birthday. We arrived first thing to beat the crowds and had the racing track almost to ourselves. The staff was friendly, accommodating and even funny. In fact, they gave us an extra 6 minutes around the track because there was no one waiting behind us. Then we went to the arcade, which was clean and a lot of fun. Overall, we had a great experience and I can highly recommend Grand Prix NY.

Good staff! Very informative and helpful/knowledgable. A guy named Isaac helped my little brother learn how to drive a go-kart! Spent about 2 1/2 hours there. When you spend a lot you get like 10 free dollars to the arcade (which is a very good one)! The brownstone track is soooooooo fun! It has the perfect width! It can fit about 3 karts next to each other! Great karts too! The SLOWER ones go 30 mph! Gonna have my B-Day here!
