At a recent production of "Newsies," we were very disappointed at the lack of professionalism at the INB. The sound quality of the show was so bad, we could barely understand a word, as the orchestra totally overpowered the singers. We were not sitting in seats where the sound was obstructed--it was just very poorly mixed. We heard others complaining about this as well, and we notified two ushers. We were told there was nothing to be done. One usher did offer us hearing aids, which we declined. Two people in their mid-twenties do not want to go to a live theater and wear headphones. We struggled to hear rather than ruin the shows experience further by hearing it filtered through tinny speakers on our heads. The biggest frustration came at intermission. It was a beautiful sunny day, and during intermission we went out a side door to take a walk. Ten minutes later we walked around to the front doors and tried to go back inside. An INB employee out there told us that we couldnt go in as there was a performance in process. We told him "Yes, were watching it," and showed him our tickets. He told us, "Its no re-entry. Once you leave you cant come back." At first we thought he was joking, especially as at that moment, an usher inside opened the locked door for an elderly couple that had also been walking outside. But when I gestured to the door, he said again, "You cant go back inside once you leave. Its posted on the door." We walked back around to the other side of the building and were able to re-enter there and watch the rest of the show. Later, we did see that there was a sign hanging on the front door that said "No re-entry." However, the door we left did NOT have a sign, nor did any of the other side or back doors in the theater. It was not printed on our tickets or on the program, and was not announced at the beginning of the show. Whatever reason the INB has for saying that if a guest wants to step outside for fresh air, they forfeit their ticket is beyond me. But even IF they want to make this a policy (again... why?), they need to make it abundantly clear to their guests. Im just grateful that not all of the employees were like Mr. Power-trip out front, as I did see ushers allowing guests back inside... because why wouldnt they? It left a bad taste in my mouth.

The facility is very nice, clean, large aisles, however, I rated it 2 stars as the acoustics are awful. Just saw the Book of Mormon there last week and you couldnt understand what the people were saying at times. I heard numerous people at intermission saying the same thing. INB- its excellent that these Broadway shows are coming to Spokane but people will stop coming if you cant understand what the people are saying. Ive seen the show before and some of the best lines of the show were missed by the audience as they couldnt hear them clearly. Please update the sound system!

Security are assholes harassed us before and during girlfriends nieces graduation ceremony. Cause they saw us one time open carry our firearms days before the ceremony. Cussed At us threatened to have us arrested cause we called police to ask if what we did was illegal no its not police said but yet they yelled in our faces in front of our 2 and 4 year old children even while we said forget it and tried to leave. Will never come to Spokane again this was bull how we treated after paying hundreds of dollars to be here

We bought tickets for Tears for Fears concert and showed up to locked doors and no signs or notices of any kind of cancellation. We found 2 employees in another building who told us it was cancelled and they explained that our credit card was automatically refunded. It took us an hour to drive and park. I cant believe they didnt e-mail us about the cancellation and were very disappointed in this second rate operation.

Oh my goodness! What a great place to see a show. It does not matter where you sit in IMB Performing Arts Center , youre going to be able to see the stage. The staff is both helpful and friendly always eager to help! Both times Ive been there Ive got my tickets upgrade without asking

Lovely center and surrounding. The event we attended (Bill OReilly) was a disappointment because The State of the Art sound system could not provide enough sound for the program to be heard. Suggest if you cant get tickets in the first half of the auditorium to stay at home.

One of the better venues in Spokane. It seems like the Arena has no shame harassing its patrons to buy swag and programs. If your planning on buying tickets for the INB dont worry about trying to get front row, as long as your not in the balcony its all great seating.

Great venue in Spokane. Hosts some AMAZING off Broadway shows brought by west coast entertainment. Shows like book or Mormon, Blue Man Group and National Geographic Live have all been here. Its a classy place with wine and beer options as well.

Saw Rain, a Beatles tribute and it was great! Didnt know they had metal detectors, but the process was still better than the arena!
