This place is really a mixed bag. On one hand, they played pretty good music and they are literally the ONLY nightclub in this area of town. Drinks were not too bad, both in price and how they were made. Not the best, or the worst. Cover was free for ladies on a Saturday night ($10 for guys) and the set up inside is really nice. On the other hand... well... its terrible. First off, I was trying to plan a night out for my birthday and wanted to book bottle service. A week before the event, I sent two requests via their website (you can actually put in all the details of your event and then a host/hostess is supposed to call you to finalize the arrangements). When I didnt hear back, my husband called the number listed with no answer or callback (he called twice, but only left one voicemail). When we arrived that night, we asked if it was still possible to book a table since there were several on the first floor that looked open. The host came over, and we explained what had happened about no one calling us back.... turns out they actually HAD A RESERVATION for me!!!! Thanks for letting me know! We told them that yes, we still wanted it, but we wanted a table downstairs. They said because it was not paid in advance, they could only accommodate us upstairs. Well, guess what, if your people had done their job, it WOULD HAVE been pre-paid, so whose fault is that? Second, the DJ was (to put it nicely) not a nice person. We were literally there for 30 minutes when a young woman started having a seizure. Literally, on the floor, seizing for nearly 4 minutes. Lucky for her, we had 4 nurses in our party and they were able to tend to her and basically save her life. My husband asked the DJ if he would notify the girls friends/call them up to the front because obv they were oblivious as to what was happening. The DJ was super rude and told him he couldnt do that. Give me a break. Also, the staff was not helpful at all, except for ONE bartender who came out and brought a bunch of towels, and water. No one else even offered to help or checked on her. LIVE Ultra Lounge... where you *literally* might not live through the night. :/ Otherwise, it wasnt a bad night. But its hard to look over the whole getting-screwed-out-of-a-table thing, and oh yeah, the whole someone-almost-died thing. UPDATE: We tried to go back a few weeks later. It was myself and my husband along with 2 other couples. When we approached the doorman, we were told that we couldnt come in because of our tattoos. My husband offered to roll down the sleeves on his long-sleeved shirt (answer: no, because youll just roll them up when you get inside) and I offered to put on a sweater I had in the car (again, the answer was... you guessed it! no, because youll just take it off when you get inside. I understand not every place wants exposed tattoos in their bar. I get that, I really do. But there is ZERO mention of a dress code at all on their website, or at the door, and Facebook page is full of tattooed people. Additionally, I would like to make it clear that we have the "typical" tattoos... exposed that night: my husbands black and grey sleeve, my heart-shaped poem on my elbow, and my geisha half sleeve. Its not like we showed up with ink all over our faces, hands, etc (not that theres anything wrong with that, but those kind of tattoos have not become quite as accepted as sleeves are now :p). Anyway, I cant stand places that have rules that either no one knows, or they change from day to day, or person to person. Im fairly certain if Id walked up to the doorman with the other two girls in our group, instead of next to my husband, they probably wouldve let us in. Because, you know... boobs trump rules any day!!

Ive been here two times and both times I had a bad experience with their customer service! The first time I went, I cut my foot on glass from the floor and when my boyfriend asked for band-aids the bartenders kept insisting they did not have any. Finally, one bartender admitted they had some in the back and got some for me (after I had bled all over the sidewalk). The second time I went, the bartender LOST MY CREDIT CARD. She asked me if I wanted to keep the tab open and I said yes. The next time I ordered a drink she said she didnt have my card so I told her to find it because I distinctly remembered giving it to her and telling her to keep it, then at the end of the night when I told her I needed my card she acted annoyed by my presence and didnt even mention it to anyone else or a manager. And I was still charged on the card! Overall, this place has been such an inconvenience for me!! The employees need to be trained on how to properly provide quality customer service. I will be calling later today to speak with a manager about the bartender who lost my card. Positives about this place are that I always see familiar faces on college night, and their bartenders are pretty quick, just wish they were more responsible with the money, especially when it affects customers. Music is also pretty good most of the time. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because I still had fun.

Heres the thing, Live used to be a 5 star. The atmosphere was great, the music was amazing (if you like hip hop/trap), and the bottle service was pretty great. My friends and I had our regular waitress. This was back from December 14 to March 15. I returned to Live in July of 15 and so much had changed. The bartenders catched a bit of an attitude, bottle service wasnt good anymore, and the music changed. I like all types of music, but Live was the only club that really played hip hop/trap and it was great. Somewhere along the timeline, they started playing EDM. Theres nothing wrong with that, except its repetitive week after week. And its for a full hour, or more. If you want to enjoy hip hop/trap, get there at 10pm and itll last until 12:30am (usually). $10 cover is barely worth paying and enjoying only 2 hours and 30 minutes of being there. Now, friends and I go to Live only if there isnt anything else to do, and no where else to go. 3 stars is being fair, and hoping Live can go back to being the fun club it used to be.

This club is disgustingly dirty and extremely hot inside. People are dripping sweat. The drinks are overpriced, hardly any alcohol in it, and they charge a cover charge for people over 21. They take advatange because of the upscale area it is in, but this place is DISGUSTING. The bouncers and host charging up front are very rude. You can be 40 years old and have to pay to get in and while they ask you for the money, they talk to you very ugly. This job must pay them so well for them to think theyre better than everyone. Lol theyre only host and bouncers smh. Im embarrassed to say Ive been here. I have a lot of friends from out of town that visit often and have asked about this club because its "known", well theres my opinion. Poor college students that barely can afford to live day to day. Word of advice: Stick to Deols. No cover charge, cheap drinks and worth it!!
