There is usually a cover charge. Drinks can get expensive depending on time and day of the week. Occasionally they have male dancers. Place has had a few make overs over the last several years. There are live drag shows, among other shows that they hold throughout different times of the year some of those whom have visited the club are Mathew Rush, Andrew Christian model Topher DiMaggio. Conveniently located at "The Strip" gay area of San Antonio. Younger college crowd. There are multiple dance floors. Multiple bars/rooms. There is a patio area where the smokers tend to gather. Some of the bartenders are friendly. Theres usually security nearby. Police station nearby. Helps keep area safe. Id is required to enter club. There is no dress code. The owner is nice and interacts with the patrons. I liked it better when they had the strippers on the stage and cages before the makeover.

Went to enjoy the night with a couple of friends, got there and they laid out the rules for the minors, basically dont touch or drink alcohol. Perfectly fine, then headed toward the bar, was about to order a mock margarita when one of the main bouncers who usually at the door comes up to me asking me why I am drinking explained to him that I had just ordered a mock margarita, the bouncer then continued to put his hands on me and pushed me from the back of the club to the front, I told him to get his hands off me and he grabbed even harder. As soon as I got to the front one of the guys at the door gave this sad excuse about how one minor did this so they are being cautious about everything. BOUNCERS WILL HARASS MINORS !!!!!!!!!!

Cost toooooo much for bad drink specials and rude DJ. WAS TOLD THAT THERE ARE NOOOOO REQUESTS. BUT SONGS SUCKED..NO ONE..NO ONE DANCED. I dont think minorities are welcomed here. In San Antonio of all places. DEAD!! CAN SOMEONE OPEN ANOTHER 18 AND UP LGBT SPOT. DONT GO TO HEAT!!! I would give 0 stars if it was an option. Others are lying..no one looked like they were having a good time..only drinking..of course..once you pay..you might as well stay!! You would think if no one dances you would take requests...STUPID!!!!

With a mixture of great drag performances, funny competitions, and music variety, this club is my favorite so far in San Antonio. The Heat features two distinct dance floors which play two different varieties of music (from what I can tell). There are drag shows that take place but dont stop you from dancing if you wish on the other dance floor. The atmosphere is very energetic compared to other clubs and overall I have a blast when I go.

I was not impressed at all with the guy at the front. No cover charge if youre overage and you come before 10 or maybe it was 11? Bartenders are hot, and the drinks are great. Atmosphere is nice, and there are my kind of clean cut frat-lookin guys there. This club is more conservative than other gay clubs in town, but I like it more. I didnt understand why they dont take credit cards.

Music is decent. Dancing across the floor to get to my friends I slipped on the floor because someone spilled their drink. Right after I slipped an employee came up to me and told me that people complained about me and that next complaint I would be kicked out. I didnt talk or dance with anyone other than my friends. I left right after I was told this because it killed my vibe.

I gave one star because I gave the cashier 100 dollars for 6 people and she only gave me back ten dollars ... Be sure to know what the cover charger is even if your buzzed so this does not happen to you

If they would stop playing Latin music on the main dance floor and keep the ghetto music in the back bar this place would be perfect
