This is a wonderful location. Great for walks or going for a jog. Photographers can enjoy the location but a permit may be required if your shooting professional photography sessions. The scenery is set as if you have taken a trip to Italy. This location is truly a hidden gem within the DFW area. For a fee, gondola rides are offered at this location. Theres also a small stand up paddle board rental business that offers the boards at an hourly rate.

“breath of fresh air” If you visit Dallas and get a chance to venture to Irving, Then I would suggest checking this part of the city out! If you dont mind walking around and enjoying some fresh air (Closer to mid fall would be my suggestion!) and to grab a piece of serenity... This would be your best bet!

Mandalay canal walk is the most uninteresting, soulless and lifeless experience. There are signs pointing to non existent bars, shops and restaurants and the canal can be walked in about 2 minutes flat! Save yourself these 2 minutes and do something a little less boring instead.

Great walk with good views...pet friendly and well lit at night. Make sure to stop at The Avocado to have a great meal and drink while enjoying the outside view.
