I would love to say they have great food and wonderful customer service but Id be lying!! Ive been in contact with them for WEEKS about planning my husbands 40th birthday party. Repeatedly asking them how to get confirmation and the date time set... Ironing out details as it abundantly clear that they dont know how to book private events... Even as far as ordering a specific beer to have on tap for us. Email sent today to confirm my food order to only be replied w "sorry somebody paid a deposit already""?!? Funny, never was a mention of a deposit made to me in the emails weve been exchanging... In fact in those emails it was stated that I would have the space at my designated time and date, repeated requests on what I need to do to solidify that went unanswered, they are NEVER there when you call (which I have done 4-5 times over the course of planning) and now they want to play it off as if I was never sure if I wanted to book?!? Are you kidding me? Not sure what emails they are reading but I thought at least the time and date were pretty set to me So not only did they not inform whoever did book my time that it wasnt available, they didnt even think a courtesy check in of "hey I have someone else wanting to book" would be beneficial. Now they are playing it off like they did nothing wrong and unwilling to honor our prior agreement. They did however offer two other weekends bc you know moving family and peoples schedules is just that easy So unbelievably pissed off, disappointed and disgusted with their lack of customer service, and now must find somewhere that actually wants my $1500 Good luck if you are considering booking an event with these amateurs

Intrinsics BBQ is Detestable! Now, lets have a Kiki. Intrinsic BBQ earns a strong One Star rating because the Mens restroom room happened to be clean....... On the day I went... Around lunch.... On a Wednesday... That week... I went for a pound of brisket to serve over an artisan salad. When I arrived home I noticed Intrinsics BBQ was the color of fresh Clump & Seal cat litter; a light grey color. Hey, money is money and business is business. Youve got to get it right each and every $20 time. Intrinsics BBQ had no food for humans flavor. Intrinsics BBQ was ......like I had been trying to eat dog treats of dried pig ears...Detestable. Intrinsics BBQ would not cut with a high end knife. Intrinsics BBQ is bad for the environment. Its unhealthy for the environment because each in-house served ration is dumped into a "to-go" container instead of proper tableware. Trashed it. IF you & have always wanted to try the pig ears your dog chews & screw the environment try Intrinsics BBQ. "Tongue Pop" No Tea No Shade.

Not impressed in the least. Barbecue had entirely too much fat. Not worth the price. Wrote a review on Facebook as well only to be told I was wrong by intrinsic barbecue about my experience and that any good barbecue joint has fat. If I didnt like that ask for a different cut. Yes, that may be the case to have a little fat around edges for flavor but not .2 ounces of fat and .05 of beef. I guess they have never been to Smittys or Blacks barbecue in Lockhart. There is a reason they have been on business and successful for so long. When the person from the place of business responding to your review doesnt even apologize about a bad experience and only criticizes the reviewer there is a big problem. Leaders listen to criticism and attempt to fix problems and should not personally attack those who bring the problems to their attention. Guess the reason Instrinsic sells beer is because you have to be drunk to ignore the poor quality of barbecue you receive.

I stopped by here on June 28, after 5pm, nice looking spot. Orderd the 1/4 lb 2 meat plate which came with 2 sides. The guys who made my plate talked,probably because the one who carved the brisket look like me,(Im black and do not recommend this place to minoritys ) so 2 of us was in there!!,I got 2 ribs, 2 slices of brisket ,which can not possibly be 1/4lb , not to mention one piece of brisket wss nearly all fat, the 2 sides were ok, the corn was good! Other than that,this one white lady kept staring as if she either knew me or wanted to tell me to get out but she could have been a customer, I guess!,not sure as friendly as she was to everyone else!!! When I was leaving not a thank you sucka/have a horrible day or nothing!...not a nice spot !!

More like 2.5. Very nice building. Walked in not greeted but there was a ginger bearded guy doing something to the beer thing at the front. Ok I can get passed that so walked to the back and noticed some people back there so I figured dont sit go and see what is going on. Ok Ill stop because I can ramble on and on. Bottom line BBQ is ok at best. Meat needs to be hotter in temp for my liking. They only had 2 sauces out of 4 that they offer. If you can make beer make some fresh bread not day old stuff out of a bag. I was served in a Togo container but told them that it was eating there. If I were a big beer drinker I would dine there more. As far as the bbq Ill stand in line at Meshaccks.

First time here. Not a beer drinker, but it is a great place for that, based on what I saw. The barbecue was awesome! We had ribs and a brisket flat bread. Each one a big hit. Only drawback is they are not gluten trained--my wife has Celiacs disease, so its a big deal to us. They use a common fryer, and cross contamination from serving also seems to be a risk. Still, she had ribs, jalapeno corn, and beans--all delightful with no ill effects. Be sure to try both sauces. Atmosphere is very upbeat inside, and theres live music outside. Staff was eager to please--even on the gluten issue. Great place! Well be back.

I cant understand why anyone has given Intrinsic less than a 5-star review. Ive been here multiple times (days, evenings, weekdays and weekends). The food and service have always been outstanding. I love that they have multiple BBQ sauce options (from mild to habanero pepper hot). Im not a beer drinker, but my husband says that their beers are great. The owner and employees all appear to really enjoy their work. Intrinsic has a casual and fun atmosphere. Ive been told tha they have live music almost every evening and I will be dropping in to hear some local talent soon.

We loved this place! My husband likes the beer he got to try. I didnt like the salad but that was stupid of me to get a salad at a BBQ place anyways. As for BBQ, its real good. Runs out quick but its good and we are from Memphis originally so we know good BBQ! The house margarita wasnt a great batch. Too sour and strong for a girl who can drink. But they did have GREAT TEA! I will say I am a picky customer especially with tea, But we loved atmosphere, board games, outside sitting area, live music, Bike Day they had, etc! We tell everyone we know to try this place!
