I purchased tickets to the performance of Book of Mormon on Wednesday, Dec. 28th. My purchase was for 2 tickets in the Dress section, Row BB, seats 8 & 9. I spent $170 to look at the corner of the set and listen to the CD. I bought the tickets for my boyfriend and me as a surprise for him, but we left during intermission because all we were able to experience was the sound! I am so heartbroken because I have been looking forward to this for weeks! I understand that the tickets I purchased were in a partial view area, as your website and box office told me, but when I called to ask if we would still be able to view a good portion of the performance, I was told yes. I feel lied to by a place where I am supposed to be able to escape reality and have a stress free time with loved ones. I ask that your establishment makes it clear, the view from these seats are not partial its nonexistent. I left the theatre in tears because there was nothing I could do to make our experience any better and it breaks my heart that I disappointed him because your website and employee misled me into believing I would be able to see a good portion of the performance.

My wife and I have subscribed to the Broadway series here and through Dallas Summer Musicals. DSM has become a huge hassle, with uncomfortable seating, repeat shows, and exchanges only allowed in person at the box office. The series at the Winspear is SO much better. The customer service is better and the theater itself is gorgeous, and WAY more comfortable. They have been getting much better shows on a regular basis, and if we need to change our tickets, we can do it over the phone and pick up the new ones at will call. Seriously DSM, how freaking hard is that? We just renewed our Broadway season at the Winspear, and plan to cancel the DSM package next season.

I love watching musicals in this place. Seats are comfy and offer a good amount of space. Its very clean, and has bathrooms on every level (very useful for the ladies since we always get stuck waiting in line at intermission). Some shows even offer student discounts which is also great. They do have a rule that if youre late to the show theyll only let you in when appropriate. Even then, theyll find you the closest seat to the door and tell you that you cant move to your actual seat until intermission. I know from first hand experience. My biggest tip is dont go for starlight seating unless you want to get vertigo.

Performances at the Winspear in the beginning have been marvelous especially the conducting of Graeme Jenkins there and at the music hall. Everything he did was perfect. And there is fine recording of Carmen with the Paris,Gaurnier theater orchestra and chorus, cond. Rafael Fruhbeck Burgos with Grace Bumbry, Jon Vickers,Mirella Freni,Kostas Paskalis, Elane Lublin,Viorica Cortez which has the original score ; dialogue, and act one scene between the officers before the boys march, and act three compete duet between Jose andEscamillo. This 1970 production in Paris is the best I have on 2 cds.

Parking was fast and efficient. *Quick note about the parking: I prepaid online for parking in the Lexus Red parking lot. When I pulled in to the lot, I was directed to a separate area they reserve for people who actually drive a Lexus. That was a nice surprise. Once inside, the seating was quick and efficient. They had small bar options with snacks for the show. We saw Michael Carbonaro and the production went well. We were sitting in the second section on the floor level and had no problem seeing or hearing. Great experience overall. Ill definitely be back to see another show in the future.

This is a beautiful new modern opera house in the AT&T Performing Arts Center. The staff was very helpful and friendly and helped us find our seats quickly. The only negative thing I have to say is that not every seat in the house has an excellent view of the stage. We had seats in the 4th level of the balcony on the lady side and at least one part of the production was obscured from view. Bass Hall in downtown Fort Worth has the upper hand there. In fact it is the better of the two I my opinion.

Very Disappointing - We were shocked that Winspear would actually have, let alone, sell seats that have practically NO view of the stage. Our seats were so bad that we had to stand or lean over the railing to see about 25% of the stage. How ridiculous is that. On a cruise ship they have rooms that say they have an "obstructed view" perhaps, Winspear should think about putting that on some of those crummy seats.

A nice professional theater, but it just doesnt compare to the beauty of Bass Hall. If youre going to take the time to build a new theater, I think it should be the most beautiful theater that there can be, and with a competitor in the same metropolitan area like Bass Hall, the aesthetics of the theater need to be at least as nice as Bass Hall. This theater was a disappointment, despite being new.

The Opera scene has been enhanced enormously from having such magnificent Opera house in downtown Dallas, Texas. The acoustics arent the best, however it does hold up well to a high level of resonance. The concert goer gets a high end experience in many regards. The building has a sexy color and aesthetics added the excellent talent portrayed. One can enjoy spending quality time at the Wispear

Winspear Opera house is a stunning example of perfect architecture and symmetry. It is absolutely gorgeous. I love going to see shows here and I try to come as often as possible. The holiday decor is beautiful and it only enriches the experience of the symphony or shows like The Nutcracker. If you have not been to this put it on the list of things to do and places to see!

The Opera House is beautiful, to bring a mass of people into one area the lay out keeps many spread out. Except when you are ready to leave. Only two methods of access to the parking garage. The escalator or elevator. There are many places to park in surrounding areas. If you wish to park below the Winspear arrive early.

We saw BOM here. Beautiful theatre. I loved being able to order and preorder drinks for intermission. ($100 for 4 drinks total! Ouch) Our Uber driver was able to drop us off very close to the main doors. The parking situation there is insane. Id recommend not driving yourself if possible.

Very rundown, low-budget looking theater. But it was still full of character and very fitting for the two cabaret/circus shows we watched. It may not be a huge venue but that means you get better views for cheaper tickets! Definitely check it out at least once in your life.

While I understand that I paid for the lowest price seats, which are at the highest level called Grand Circle, any projection had its top cut off. Ive been here twice, and while I will come again for another event, Im a little disappointed that the view was obstructed.

Saw Paul Simon in concert here and it was a great venue. My seat was in the Mezzanine and I had an excellent view of the stage. I dont think there is a bad seat in the house. Easy in and out from the freeway and there is ample parking. Will definitely visit again.
