MY 2 KIDS AND I WENT TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME AND LIKE THE OTHER REVIEWS STATED IT WAS A GREAT DECISION TO GO DURING THE WEEK, THE PARK WAS NOT AT CAPACITY AT ALL SO EVERY RIDE HAD SHORT QUICK LINES AND THE WATER WAS CRYSTAL CLEAR WITH LITTLE TO NO BURN TO THE EYES, THE SNACK BAR IS AN EXCELLENT BARGAIN AS THEY GIVE YOU A REAL HAMBURGER PATTY THAT ACTUALLY STICKS OUTSIDE THE BUN WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS AND THE PRICES ARE NOT WHAT YOU WILL FIND AT SOME OF THE OTHER HIGH PRICED WATER PARKS (GALVESTON, NEW BRAUNFEL) PAID 5 BUCKS FOR A HOT DOG BASKET WHICH INCLUDES FRIES & DRINK, CUP WAS AT LEAST 24 OUNCES AND THE FRIES WERE LIKE POTATO WEDGE CURLY FRIES, THATS THE BEST WAY I CAN DESCRIBE THEM, REALLY THICK AND TASTY, THE HOT DOG WAS ONE OF THOSE "GINORMOUS" ONES NOT THE SHRIVELED UP WEENIE YOU GET AT SOME PLACES AND THE BURGER BASKET IS ONLY 6 DOLLARS, THEY ALSO HAVE CHEESE & PEPPERONI PIZZA, CHICKEN TENDERS, SNO CONES AND YOU GET TO ADD YOUR OWN FLAVOR OF SYRUP, THEY JUST CRUSH THE ICE AND PACK IT IN THE CUP. THE ADMISSION PRICE IS OUTSTANDING, PAID 55.00 FOR THE 3 OF US. I DO NOT SEE MYSELF ATTEMPTING TO GO HERE ON THE WEEKEND UNLESS I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO, ESPECIALLY AFTER EXPERIENCING WHAT I DID TODAY, I UNDERSTAND THAT MANY PEOPLE WORK DURING THE WEEK SO PLEASE GET THERE EARLY IF YOU PLAN TO GO ON THE WEEKEND. I LIVE IN BEAUMONT AND AFTER TODAY I WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM MAKING THE DRIVE BACK HERE ON A REGULAR BASIS. THE PARK HAS A RIDE FOR EVERY AGE AND THEY ARE ALL EXCITING.....YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, LOCKER RENTALS ARE 15.00 BUT YOU GET 10.00 BACK WHEN YOU RETURN THE KEY, LIFEGUARDS ARE EVERYWHERE AND WELL PLACED AND EVEN THOUGH MOST LOOKED LIKE TEENY BOPPERS, I DID NOT SEE ANY OF THEM GOOFING OFF, THEY WERE ALL PAYING ATTENTION AND NOT HESITATING TO STOP KIDS FROM RUNNING, JUMPING OFF THE SIDE INTO THE LAZY RIVER OR ANY OTHER PARK VIOLATIONS, AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THIS ESSAY I WAS EXTREMELY IMPRESSED BUT OPINIONS VARY FROM PERSON TO PERSON SO JUST GIVE THE PARK A TRY AND SEE WHAT YOU THINK.

This post will be long.. but if you are like me and like to research a place before going. This will be helpful! ☆☆Check the weather!!! ☆☆BUY THE TICKETS ONLINE. & YOU DO NOT NEED TO PRINT THEM JUST HAVE THEM DOWNLOADED ON YOUR SMART PHONE •GET THERE ONE HOUR EARLY (during the week Monday-Friday) ☆Monday-Thursday park opens at 11 Friday-Sunday park opens at 10 •GET THERE 2 HOURS EARLY (during the weekend... Saturday and Sunday) ●●IT IS A LONG TIME TO WAIT WITH KIDS!!!!! Bring them something to do and the madness of it all will not be so bad when you have a picnic table under the shade!!!! •Food IS economically priced!!! ☆ If your kids play hardcore like mine, they will eat 20 times a day and that will get expensive! So, PACK A LUNCH OR 2 AND DRINKS!!!!! SAVED ME A FORTUNE! PACK A LOT OF WATER! SETX IS HOT!!! ♡♡ The SNO CONES ARE AMAZING $3 dollars for a small and the flavors are DELICIOUS! •IT is $6 (cash) for small lockers, $10(cash) for bigger ones. The kiosks are by the food service areas!!! •The employees are very nice. They are younger, rule of thumb treat them the way you want to be treated :) •YOU CAN NOT WEAR SHOES ON ANY OF THE RIDES, SOOOO take them off at your table!! •There are life jackets for the children!!! They are located by the kiddie pool right when you walk in by the bridge and by the wave pool!!!!! ♡♡IT is a NON SMOKING PARK which is really nice!! HOWEVER, if you are a smoker, go get a stamp on your hand and you can go outside to smoke! Overall, the kids and I thoroughly enjoyed this park! It was small enough where I could allow my older child to do his own thing without worrying... and big enough for us to have a BLAST! They have something for thrill seekers and relaxation! We will definitely be back!!!!!

We went on a Sunday and "thought" we were getting there early -got there at 11am park opened at 10 ..wrong ! Even though we were pretty close to front of line, we waited almost 1.5 hrs to get in! I felt bad for the people in line behind us..The popularity of this park has became huge because of the low prices and clean and orderly environment, but this park was not ment to handle Texas size crowds ! The park albeit a nice size is not really that big. We had to set up our coolers on the grass for about an hr. until an open table became free and they do have a lot of tables. There were a lot of people there but it was just enough so the park did not feel swamped with people.. the lazy river was comfortable and the wait for the slides were not that long. I was able to ride 4 different slides in under 45mins..not bad..We had small children and this place is PERFECT for them!! Numerous shallow pools , and plenty to keep them busy - There is more for kids than adults, but the few adult things were worth it .. Cost us $40.00 or so bucks for 2 children and 2 adults ! Wow! My advice would be to research when the park opens because it does change, bring a cooler with drinks and food, and get there before the park opens to TRY to avoid long lines..Even though we waited I understand a need for crowd control because if they just let everyone who came to the park in, you would not be able to enjoy the park!

I really love going to Pirates Bay! However, this last experience was awful when it came to the staff. We were having a great day until we saw a parent let there young child openly urinate in the wave pool. I talked to two managers and one supervisor. The first manager was helping at the locker rentals and asked me to wait for her supervisor. When the supervisor came over he acted like my concern was not important and said "there is enough chemicals in the pool". I know people might urinate in the pools, but letting your child openly expose them self and urinate is NOT okay. They were too busy to address my concern and asked me to find someone else. I went to the other side of the water park to find another manager. I told her what happened and she said she didnt know how to handle the situation and went back into the employee area. I never saw anyone address the parent and the young child continued to expose himself and urinate in the wave pool two other times before we decided to leave. Its a shame that the staff could not take the time to let the parent know that this is not acceptable. We love coming to Pirates Bay, but not addressing these concerns is unprofessional.

I took my seven and five year old on a Tuesday and I must say I had a lot of fun and so did they. It was under $60.00 for two adults and two kids, we got there before it opened and stood in line at the gate until 11am, it was hot but we wanted a good spot. When we first walked in the park was clean and the staff was helpful. I took my kids on the water-surf attraction and although the wait is kind of long because it is one person at a time, the lifeguards were WONDERFUL at helping the little ones. They took the time to show them what to do, if they were under a certain height they would ride with them, if they fell off they would let them try it again and my children loved it. the food was cheap and good and the whole time we were there the lifeguards kept a watchful eye and were just everything you wanted and needed them to be. This was our first time and next year we will be buying season passes because it is well worth it for my little ones. Also, since this park is geared more toward smaller kids there are not a lot of grown teens running around ruining it for everyone else. LOVED IT AND WILL BE BACK!
