(I have no idea how anyone rates this place 4 or 5 stars...) The concept is cool (not unique), but very poorly executed. We have children ages 9, 5, and 2. The rides are..."OK." Old-style and nothing special, but about what we expected. We were there for about an hour and within that timeframe watched about 7 other people come and go because it costs an arm and a leg to spend any amount of time there. $2.50 per ticket/ride is their base price which I find to be absolutely insane. 3 tickets for a short pony ride which equates to $7.50. $5 for 2 short circles around the park on their train. You can buy ticket packages for slightly cheaper, but still, very expensive for what you get. 1 out of 6 workers smiled or showed any type of friendly demeanor. They all looked like they were being punished and had to work there. Their mini-golf course couldnt be less fun or more hot since there isnt a stitch of shade on the whole thing. I think 2 holes had some kind of "obstacle" and the rest of the holes were .... just a hole. In general, the grounds were unkempt and the whole place looked like no one loves it. Truly, when we first arrived we thought it might be closed because it looked so...not open. They have a plethora of rules posted everywhere for different things like..."parents, help your kids in and out of rides!" and "2-hour limit to sit at the picnic tables" and "NO outside food and beverages," etc. I mean, I get rules, but theyre posted EVERYwhere and put off a very "un-fun" vibe. I bought a ticket package and we used em up, because I can guarantee you that I will never patron this place again. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

We visited the week after Easter. I had called from TN and you returned my call one evening and answered all my questions. We have 18 month old triplet grandsons that live in the Austin and we wanted to know if this place would be too overwhelming for them since they had not been exposed to very much "outside world". Church and home along with daily walks to the local mall and Target. Its hard for my daughter to handle 3 by herself out in public unless they are in their stroller. Your STAFF was WONDERFUL. We were so impressed. They helped with the boys getting on and off the rides. The boys were not afraid of them at all. Your kind employees even took pictures of Papaw and "C", Meme and "J" and Mommy and "O". We only had to pay for the boys tickets and we rode with them when necessary which was all rides since they had never experienced anything like this. "O" LOVED riding the airplane with his Mommy. "C" loved the train ride with his Papaw and "J" really liked running thru the park the best. I like the fact that this place is really for kids 10 and under. We will be back many times!

Retro rides! My 3 year-old enjoys the ferris wheel and the pony rides the best. They have specials on tickets listed on their site. Wednesdays are $1.20 a ticket instead of the regular $2. (There is also usually a coupon on their site under discounts for a free 3 tickets when you purchase 10 that can also be used on Wednesdays. Helps those of us trying to entertain little ones on a budget.) You can stock up on Wednesdays and then use those tickets on any day of the week since the tickets never expire. The hours are a little strange and depend on the season so make sure and check their site before heading out. The young kids running the rides often seem pretty bored (understandably so) but it never negatively impacts our time spent at Kiddie Acres.

A total Austin treasure! Old fashioned, sweet and perfect for little ones. This is the only place that is geared for toddlers--five little rides [airplanes, jeeps, boats, mini ferris wheel, merry-go-round], ponies and a train [golf too]. I just had my 4 year old twins birthday party here and it couldnt have been better. The staff bent over backwards to help me [carry stuff in, set up], the manager came to work early to help me, it was totally affordable for my tight budget. Im so happy there is a place that is sweet and old fashioned like Kiddie Acres--there might be some chipped paint but it adds to its charm--perfect for little ones. I hope its around forever.

Old school country. Small amusement park has horses kids can ride for 3 tickets, a merry-go-round, small ferris wheel, kid boats, kid planes, and kid jeeps all for 1 ticket, and a train for 2 tickets. Parents are free, and babies are free if held on rides (like merry-go-round and train). Tickets are $2 per ticket but theres a discount if you buy in bulk (25 tickets, 50 tickets, etc.)Theres a putt putt course also. Most of the rides are shaded by big oak trees, but the putt putt is in the sun. There are restrooms and snacks to buy. An enjoyable place for little kids, but dont expect high end park rides. Its been around for a long time.

This is a place of very fond memories for us! It is one of the first places I tell people who have young children (or young visitors) to visit. My 11 year old son remembers his 1st... and 2nd... and 3rd... oh I dont know how many times he rode on the ponies! I know he tried all but one. We insisted on visiting with his little brother now several times! There are several rides for the little ones, a super cool miniature diesel train ride around the whole park, and miniature golfing to boot. This family run place gives discounts for military and they have special deals to watch for too.

I just had my 2 yr old sons birthday party there. It was awesome!!! I had never been there before but I decided to wing it and have his party there. We were provided with 100 tickets for 10 kids for the birthday party. There are plenty of rides to accommodate the kiddies. They even have ponies! The only thing we didnt try was the miniature golf. This place has been here since 1978! I was glad to support a local business. We will be sure to return!

We had our little girls 2nd birthday party here. The kids loved it and so did we. The staff was extremely helpful, from the first time I spoke to them on the phone. They communicated with me through out the weeks, to make sure things ran smoothly. The day of everything did run smoothly, the parks staff, were young adults, but very professional and nice. I will recommend this park to many of the mothers, and I plan to return for play dates.

Great Place for kids. Great for toddlers and kindergarteners. Pony, train, and 5 other country fair size rides. Quaint but relatively clean. The golfing was very spartan and not the focus (at all.) A set of 10 tickets ($17) will get you on each ride. My kindergartener made 2 rounds in a couple hours. We went on a cooler September day. In the summer make sure to be prepped for the heat.

We live close and are happy to have this place in our neighborhood. The kids love going. Their favorite is the train that goes around the entire park. 17.00 dollars will let you ride every ride (i think). Good ole fashioned fun for the kids. Good place to go outdoors and get away from the TV and video games.
