Absolutely disappointed with this bowling alley. Will not be going back. Problem #1 - Showed up at 9:00pm because thats about the time their Friday night league play ends. Was told it would be a 10-15 min wait. 30 minutes later there were A LOT of open lanes so I went up and asked about the wait. There was none......Mildly irritated, we got our lane promptly after a 40 min wait because of an error on the staff. No, I did not miss them calling my name. No big deal, I was just read to bowl and have a few beers. Problem #2 - Stayed until closing and went to pay the bill. THE BILL WAS ~$95 FOR 3 HOURS OF BOWLING (not including bar tab). What in the hell? Did I walk into a dimension of hyper inflation and bowling has become the only source of entertainment in the world? No wonder the alley was dead on a Friday night. Who would KNOWINGLY pay ~$27/hour for bowling? Problem #3 - I was not told about the price, and I didnt see any signs advertising the outrageous hourly rate. Down at Westgate Lanes (same owner I believe) it is $10 all you can bowl from 10pm - closing. Next time Ill drive the 30 mins to go to a bowling alley that doesnt price gouge their customers. I was beyond pissed. The bar saved the alley from a 1 star review. There wasnt anything special about the bar. Measured pours with high prices. It was just quick service because the bowling alley was slow. John, I just saw that someone posted about the same thing a month ago, stupidly high prices. You were supposed to look into it. Dont just tell me youre going to look into it. Justify your ridiculous prices or lower them. Dont just reply with BS.

I reached out with this message on facebook on June 10 to your page but was not acknowledged and did not recieve a response. Good Afternoon, my mother and my brother, who is autistic, visited your bowling alley today. They were on lane 35 at 2pm. My mother asked for the bumpers to be raised due to my brothers special needs. They were rudely denied but as this is my brothers favorite hobby they made the best of it. When I called to inquire as to why, the girl who answered the phone was the one who denied them the bumpers. She explained that there is a strength limit and that she was afraid hed break the bumpers. She offered no apology for the way they were treated nor seemed to care about it being a one off situation due to his autism. When I asked to speak to a manager, she advised that "Sue" would not be available to answer calls at all this weekend, not even a 5 minute one, due to a tournament. When I asked if she really vould not spare 5 minutes the whole weekend she responded that she "wouldnt even be NEAR a phone til monday", which in this day and age is hard to believe. I understand the explanation given to me and will take it into consideration in the future, as we have never had this issue in other bowling alleys. But her customer service skills and sensibility to people with disabilities is disheartening. We are not asking for any compensation or refunds, we simply would ask that staff be a bit more compassionate in these situations.

Planned my birthday around the electric bowl schedule. Called the night before to make sure we could get a lane. We were told league was done and it wouldnt be a problem. Electric bowl is supposed to start at 11pm (10pm would be WAY better?) and go to 1am. Long story short, there were 2 lanes of LEAGUE people who were supposed to be done at 10, but played the entire night so they never turned the lights off and the music up for glow bowl/electric bowl. So the 10-15 lanes of people who were there and paid for glow bowl never got to experience it. Lots of people were mad, but they cater to their 95 year old grumpy and SLOW league bowlers. Real glad my friends drove 40 mins into town for a super disappointing evening. Also, bowling balls are disgusting and dirty and really beat up. Shoes were looking pretty used as well. The cop inside didnt make it feel like a safe place but I guess it wasnt a big deal. Staff was all nice. Not a bad price on drinks. I think we got some sort of shoe discount because we didnt get what we came for. Just a ridiculous and incredibly frustrating experience. No one wants to be let down in their birthday. We even went out and bought all kinds of crazy glow stuff. So much for that! League needs to have rules too. Will probably never come back since theres no guarantee league people wont be there and rule the joint.

If you want to have a pleasant bowling experience go somewhere else. The last visit my friends and I had was terrible. 5 minutes before closing we were in the 10th frame of our game with 2 bowlers to go and the game still very much in the balance. Before the first bowler could take his turn, the machine turned off. We asked an employee if he would turn it on for 2 more minutes so that we could finish our game, but he said that he would not. We asked if he was able to actually turn it back on and he said that he could if he wanted to, but that he didnt want to because then he would get out of there 2 minutes later than he would already. We pointed out that there were still other people bowling and that he wouldnt be leaving yet anyway no matter if we finished our game or not, and he just walked away. We got his attention once more and pointed out how we were almost done and it would be great to be able to finish our game, but again he said no and walked away. We then told him that we would never bowl here again and that they had lost customers for life, to which the employee did not reply at all. I will never return there and I recommend that you dont either.

boo!!!.. really? for a Austin bowling alley,...no thanks. First time visitor for my boyfriends birthday on a Thursday, far as I can tell there is nothing special here to speak about. The Lebowski Grill? what a disservice to the name. No specials at the bar even for birthdays, no local discounts, and no pitchers, seriously? Lame service except for the friendly shoe counter girls. Stepped out for a smoke and lost full drinks at the table in minutes. Not much for a game room in this place either. I guess if you are happy just bowling with lame music this is the place to be. Maybe there is some hidden gem in the food there, I didnt try, A small plus however is the free slow wireless internet in which I was able to post this review.

Be warned, they dont let all children us the light bowling balls. My son is ten years and we were told he has to use the 8lb ball. He could barely get it down the lane and hit hurt his arm which made the whole experience terrible. When we asked at the desk if they had lighter balls they said he is over the height limit (there is a bowling pin they use to measure). Their reasoning behind this ridiculous rule is they said that "he could possibly break the lighter ball" To give you better perspective on this, most adult women were bowling with the 8lb ball. So they are saying my skinny, 80lb ten year old son has to be as strong as an grown adult woman and use the same weight ball. I can not recommend this bowling alley.
