Spent Memorial Day 2016 weekend here, our first visit to the park. Stayed at Cub Lake Campground 2. Pretty park overall but we had one BIG issue. It had to do with the Cub Lake swimming area. Theres a sign that CLEARLY states that no dogs are allowed in the beach and swimming area. This was not enforced what so ever by any employee or rangers. There were many people there with their dogs. There were dog poop ALL over the place including the grassy area and beach sand where not only did you have to smell it, but kids are stepping all over it. Not once did we see anyone pick up after their pets and we never saw an employee or ranger go and pick up any droppings. We dont have a problem with dogs or owners that want to bring them along. We just would like the beach and swimming area to be free from any dog poop. The rule needs to be enforced so our little kids arent smelling and having to constantly step over or around droppings. Our kids wanted very much to play in the water but we only stayed for a short time because of the issue. Would like to see this addressed before we visit again.

My husband and I were excited to visit this park the day after thanksgiving. We checked the website and it said it was only closed on Christmas, so we drove an hour to go see it. We get there and the office is closed with a piece of paper saying theyre closed. We saw a ton of other people wandering around, so we picked up a map to try to find a trail. THE MAPS ARE TERRIBLE. All kinds of things that might have been trails are not marked on it, and they dont actually match the curves or scale of the road. And not all the side roads are on it, so when youre looking for the first right in the map youll drive past 3 or 4 rights before you get to the one youre probably supposed to take. Never actually found a trailhead, though we drove all over the park and parked in 3 or 4 likely places and got out to hunt for one. Its a very pretty park, but we wont be back.

Great Camping right on the water. Water was safe and fun for the family to swim in. Visitor center was fun for the kids as the center had a snake that the kids could touch and an eagle to look at. The park is in the middle of no where. Be sure to bring everything that you need for your stay because the nearest store/gas station is about 20 minutes away. There is a very small general store in the park but it was closed when we went. We went in AUG 17 and stayed in a 25 ft travel trailer.

Was a great park.Bathrooms were very clean.Camping spits were plenty of space We were in #53 Pin Oak Camp Grounds that was a drive thru space. If you want to explore park you will need to drive to see all areas. We found park was well patrolled by Park Rangers. Reservations needed and they book up fast. We stayed a second time in July 2017 in Lot #37. Great site.Could see the water and closer to the bathhouse. The site was very level and a huge pull thru site. Just a great place to stay.

This park is huge and diverse. There are rentable villas, cabins, hotel rooms, several types of RV camp grounds (even one specifically catering to horse owners, or wranglers), and primitive campsites. There is a couple spots to send your boats out on the water. There is even an area that allows for hunting. The rangers are usually friendly, unless someone is disruptive. However, this is a large park, so keep an eye on your kids so they dont get lost. Get them one of those whistles.

We went on Cub Creek Lake Trail. First time there. Pretty trail! The trail isnt maintained very well though. Had to crawl over some trees. Some trees need repainted. The boards are a mess or almost completely covered in some sections. We followed the orange tree markings but didnt see any markings to go over the bridge to complete the loop. Even with the extra mile or so of detour over asphalt, we still finished within three hours.

The park is beautiful and huge. We did not camp but spent the day at Cub Lake beach swimming. We ate lunch near Cub Lake and grilled out for dinner near Browns Creek Lake. The views from the picnic area and the lake were very nice. The only reasons for lower than 5 stars were the restrooms at the beach and some of the picnic bench areas could be updated. Other than that, we had a great day here!

Usually nice, if dated facilities. The food and the pool at the lodge were typically what would bring us there. Lodge room costs are great. On our most recent visit their pool was closed. However, they were kind enough to let us cancel without any penalty. We spent a few hours enjoying the trails and small (but new) playground, and we stayed in a hotel in nearby jackson.

We absolutely enjoyed all of our time at the Cub Creek Campground, very pleasant, the beach was also an awesome experience and absolutely love the fact that they have a small childrens area blocked off in the beach area to swim in. Definetely plan on visiting again.

Peaceful and scenic place with primitive camping at campground 2, they also have an RV campground. Cub lake is surrounded by all kinds of colorful trees this time of the year. Great place for a short stroll around part of the lake or relax on the walking bridge.

Natchez Trace is probably one of the most beautiful places Ive stayed at in Tennessee. When we first pulled in, I was thinking it might be a rough night, but after sitting down by the lake and enjoying a swim in the pool, I was really happy that we stayed.

My father and I go here all the time to ride the ATV trails in our side-by-sides. Theres tons of variety from gravel and dirt trails to steep hills, mud holes, and creek crossings. Its good for beginners all the way to off-road experts. Have fun!

48,000 Acres of scenic state park, my second home. Horseback riding, acres upon acres of forest. Beautiful lodges and campgrounds and cabins and fish filled lakes. Twisty roads, deer, turkey.bobcats and coyotes all call this home.

Nice park once you figure out where youre supposed to go. Not many signs pointing you in the right direction which makes it difficult when in a Motorhome. The RV spots are nice however and there are a lot of great views.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Natchez Trace State Park. The park was so clean and well cared for. The cabin we stayed in exceeded our expectations. We will be bringing the whole family next summer!

Beautiful park. The lake is great for boating and fishing, but not swimming. The "beach" they have set up near the RV campground is pretty terrible. But the RV spots are large and shady.

Its beautiful there. Very well maintained. We went to Pin Oak Lake today for the first time and will definitely be a regular there. One of my new favorite places here in Tennessee
