In this box it says to describe your experience, well Ill start with awesome. Actually I am typing this while we are stranded in one of their cottages while one of the worst snow storms for Kentucky dumps 6 inches on us. The staff here at the park, namely Michelle, Bobby Perry, Mary Ann, and Kelly have been so fantastic to us coming to our rescue to make sure we had provisions to make it through the storm. Also because of the storm stranding us at the park they were willing to reduce our rate for the night we have to stay. This is a beautiful place to come and visit, when there isnt a raging snow storm outside, but even then, in the snow the park is simply stunning. We are staying in one of the cottages which are fantastic. They offer one and two bedroom cottages. They are so warm and cozy this time of the year. So if you are wanting to stay at a great place in Kentucky, I dont think you could do better than KenLake State Resort Park.

Been here twice for family reunions in 5 years (the last trip a month ago) -- the property is definitely getting on in years and I dont see any signs that they are going to spend the money to remodel it... that said, its always been a comfortable trip (stay in the cabins) and the breakfast at the lodge is always surprisingly good. The location is hard to beat, with the marina down the road about 0.5 miles. So no complaints, its a bit run down but they keep everything in operating order and if you can get over that, the location is fantastic. If you cant get over that and typically like newer/cleaner properties and/or dont plan on using the marina while you are there, you might want to try and stay at another property like Cozy Cove (farther away, more intimate) or some other location.

We rent a cabin at Kenlake State Resort Park every year for my wifes birthday. We love staying in the cabin that looks out on the water, and we get a certain degree of privacy since theyre individual cabins. There are tennis courts there and its only a 20 minute drive to town where there is plant to do. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because we asked last year about the mattresses (waking up the next day feels like youve been tortured all night) and they said they were planning on replacing them so theyd be better this year, but it didnt happen. Its a fun little place to stay and reasonably priced but bring a mattress topper or something if you have a bad back. The staff is always very friendly though so thats something.

Kenlake resort park has average rooms but is well kept. There is a good tv, not to big but good resolution. Although if you come down here make sure to go fishing in one of the lakes! A good spot is the Berkley dam where you can catch fish all day! Another good spot is energy lake. If you go to energy to fish make sure to go around 7:00 pm or early morning because fish bite alot at that time. P.S if you go to brekley dam dont go in the water because of the current. Anyways, back on topic the workers at kenlake park are friendly and can help you find what you need!

The front desk folks were particularly nice and helpful. We did however get to our room to find a wad of used towels still left in the sink and a very "distinct" smell. They still use those disgusting comforters that they never have to launder (those should be against the law). And daily service only includes leaving a pile of replacement towels on the table in the dining area. It gets three stars because of the personal interaction but if that hadnt been so pleasant, theyd be struggling for two stars in my opinion. It hasnt looked, smelled or felt clean.

My wife and I stayed at Kenlake in one of their cottages for 3 nights. We found the whole experience to be very memorable. The staff was very friendly, the cottage was perfect, secluded and comfortable. The cottages are situated in such a way that even though youre not far from another one, there is lots of privacy. We ate at the lodge three times and the food was very good. Even in the off season, the facility was fully available for our needs. We traveled nearly 2000 miles , and Kenlake was one of the highlights of our trip. We will be back!!!!

We had my wedding there, they were awesome In helping us clean the pavilion , the rooms in the hotel were clean, and well maintained, front desk clerks were very polite, and had great ideas on our hectic day to try to get everything done, ( she even had Bobby pins ) Resturant had great food,, a little pricy but good food,,, I highly recommend a wedding here !!! Thanks Mrs, Tammy ! You were great !!

Not bad, but they seriously need to do some updates to the facility. The only reason we came down was because we got a decent package deal. The staff was nice, but the place has the feel of an old Motel 6. There is a restaurant on site, and it wasn’t half bad. Overall, I’d say its average. But I don’t know that we would make it a point to come back anytime soon.

We went to the kenlake State Resort Park Restaurant for Mothers Day buffet. The assortment of food was excellent, well flavored and properly cooked. My personal favorite was the roast beef I also found the baked Alaska to be quite extraordinary. I highly recommend the kenlake restaurant either for regular meals or for the special Buffet they have over holidays.

We have only been here for day use because we live in the area, but we have driven by the cabins and marina. The cabins are in a very nice area of the park and have room between them. I intend to rent a fishing boat one of these days, but so far, I admit, I havent made time. This is a really nice park and we love just stopping in to spend a little time.

The people were very nice & the food was good but the place desperately needs a remodel. The menu wasnt accurate - one person in our party tried to order a particular salad & they couldnt do it. They said they are about to take it off the menu but you should take it off the menu before you stop serving it.

Stayed at one of the cottages. Beautiful area, right on the lake. Gorgeous view of the sunrise. The restaurant was clean and the food was excellent. Prices were very reasonable. Our waitress Marianne was amazing! Very friendly and personable. Definitely will be back soon!

The resort is great! Its very affordable, and includes a great view of the lake as well as a well-kept swimming pool. The service is fast and friendly, the room is wonderfully clean and quiet. I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs a break from loud city life

Worst customer service ive ever seen. I wouldnt send my enemies to this place. They treat their customers horribly and they dont care if you like their services or if you come back. Save your money and rent from any other place except this one.

Like many people said, its older but clean and the staff are nice. The only thing I suggest is to bring cash because the vending machines and game room (we wanted to play pool) all take quarters and theres no ATM on site.
