Come on, and please. I know its a Sunday night, but please be courteous enough to your customers to not throw them out the side door. You had a group from NY, UK, and I had traveled 1,700 miles out of my way to make a visit to your establishment. I was overcharged initially, and pressured along with three other groups from out of town to scat. The jam was was great, but was overrated to be in your presence. I made a huge effort to get there early as I felt this was the best decision to make for my one late night for a Sunday in Nashville. If it is so important for you to turn in early for bed or whatever on a Sunday night instead of managing a business then get corporate 8-5 jobs. Please dont stifle the musicians and guests of your establishment who like me and others were expecting much more. Dont ring a bell and bring receipts until your customers are satisfied. Fortunately my 12-13 hour Nashville stay was elevated by businesses on Broadway. Good luck with subpar pizza and terrible service to survive across the tracks.

I would venture to say that the Station Inn is the most authentic music venue in Nashville, and I just love it. This was my second time here and my second time in Nashville. Both times that Ive been weve seen a great bluegrass band - the first time it was Fireball Mail, and this time it was Blue Mafia. Get there early for shows like this, the place fills up so quickly! Cover for both shows was around $15, cash at the door. On Sundays they have a bluegrass jam. Unfortunately they didnt have it happening when we were there last weekend, but I would have loved to go to that too. Occasionally, youll get some famous talent stopping in as well. The Steeldrivers still play here! They have a few local beers on tap and sell beer in pitchers, and they also have cheap delicious popcorn too!

The last of the true local music clubs in Nashville that havent been "gentrified". Go early. Theres always a line. Bring cash. Its cash only to get in. Feast on popcorn or one of their awful frozen pizzas. But treat yourself to the best music in Nashville. The other really really cool thing . . . you never know who might "sit in". Have seen everyone from Guy Clark to Vince Gill to Rodney Crowell to Ricky Skaggs just show up and join in. Station Inn used to be in a wasteland are of Nashville. Now its all built up and trendy. Fortunately Station Inn is as it has always been

If you want to dance just stay home. This place is out dated and has no room to move. If you like sitting and eating pizza you may have a good time. Bar staff was grumpy and not having a ticket booth makes this an unwelcome place for out of towners. Beer was cold but if you dont like beer you will be drinking water or soda, no wine or liquor. Complete waste of time and money. Stage setup cripples the band and crowd from gaining any energy off of each other.

The Station Inn is a "hidden" Nashville gem. Im reluctant to even post this, because I dont want it to go the way of the Bluebird Cafe. It doesnt matter who is playing... all the musicians are great. Dont expect a fancy atmosphere, but expect a great evening, a few bottles of domestic lager, a plastic basket of popcorn, and if youre gettin real fancy, one of their frozen pizzas. Tip: cash at door always (ATM is outside), but the bar takes credit card.

Once you open the door of this place you enter the magical world of Station Inns bluegrass. The very laid back atmosphere is not just friendly, it feels more like family. All ages, both on and off the stage. Various bands perform and then there is the Bluegrass jam: just come up and bluegrass away, the more the merrier. Didnt grow up with bluegrass, but Station Inn definitely made me appreciate it.

This is a great place to hear some music. We went on Friday night to hear the Judge Talford Band, a bluegrass band who covers 70s and 80s rock hits. The band was fantastic, and the venue was fun -- the audience being there more for the music than to socialize. Drinks are cheap, and the atmosphere has a great divey feel to it -- the kind that seems to ooze musically historical significance.

We have been twice. Once on a Sunday when they have their weekly jam-sessions. Musicians just walk in and start to play along. Our second time was a concert of Roland White. Very relaxed atmosphere, all the musicians seem to know each other. Cash only at the door and at the bar. They have some snacks but its probably better to have eaten before you come here for a show.

Absolutely, positively a most delightful experience. Come early to even get a seat! Really! Bluegrass new and old by players of all ages and abilities. Players changed in as out as did their songs and leads. A lifelong memory for sure. People from all over the country were there for the experience. Beers 4 bucks! Homemade pizza $10. 12th Ave and Pine. Packed Sundays.

I am shocked how rude was the guy at the entrance with me... Okay English is my second language and okay I might ask twice the same question because I dont understand all what he means but is it a reason to be so arrogant and condescending? Very disappointing ... I found people all awesome in Nashville but this person was just so rude with me.

This place is a treasure. Bare plywood floor, tables and chairs that look like they were picked up off the curb, and the kind of heart and history that other places spend thousands to imitate. Get the pimento cheese and the lager on tap and listen to some amazing music. I swear my soul was more whole when I left.

Fun atmosphere inside and out at this Pub. My summer salad was amazingly delicious and huge which I was very happy with. Its a popular place but the service was good. Enjoyed drinks on the roof while watching others lawn bowl near our table. Awesome place to go if you have never been.

If the Ryman is the mother church of country music, this place is the Mecca of working country music, particularly bluegrass. Totally unpretentious dive of a place with amazing music night after night. If youre going to Nashville and like this kind of music, go here.

Awesome Awesome Awesome change of scene from the honky tonks. The free bluegrass show on Sunday was the perfect way to wind down from our long weekend in Nashville. Not many food choices so dont go hungry but do go expecting to hear some great music!

Such a great place to see bluegrass and folk music. Much better than the crowded and over priced honkey tonks on Broadway. Very intimate, simple venue and a great place to meet other folks with the same taste in music.

Loved the show I saw there last weekend. Great bluegrass! Dont come hungry, though, as the pizza isnt great, and do realize the shows start closer to 9 even though the doors open at 7! I made that rookie mistake.
