The new renovations have really taken this place up to the next level! Usually, at music venues, there is going to be one area thats hit and miss, generally the food. Not in this case, the food is great bar food, perfect to soak up all the draft beers and drinks that arent way overpriced like they are two blocks away. Its nice to sit at the bar and catch a game, then walk down the steps to live music. The acoustics are also great, you dont get overwhelmed in the main room by the sound of the band and the noises arent popping off everywhere in the space, considering the size. Great lunch spot, too! So happy this place is back again and even better!

I planned an event with 12th & Porter months in advance willing to pay a fairly steep price to rent it out since the venue was what I was looking for. ONE WEEK before my event, they raised the price by $700 with no options or chance to negotiate since the $1000 deposit I made weeks in advance gave me no out to cancel. Their arbitrary price hike was attributed to providing drinks for extra guests...drinks?! I must go ahead with my event but am shocked by how unprofessional and inconsiderate 12th & Porter has been and urge everyone to seek business elsewhere!

This used to be a great home town venue but after the renovations and new owners this place went downhill quick. Expensive bar prices, rude bartenders, and a serious lack of good music lineups will keep me going elsewhere for live music in Nashville. You suck 12th and Porter, I hope you go under soon and get replaced by someone who sucks less at life.

My three friends and I showed up at this club around 10pm on a Saturday night. It was still a bit slow, and it didnt pick up until closer to midnight, after we had already left. Pros: -awesome music (think they actually played Everlong?) -decent lights -cheap cover ($1 for girls, $2 for guys) Cons: -small (just a bar and a dance floor)

Awesome venue! Ive played there 5 times and have seen countless shows. The production is wonderful (especially since they renovated the venue in 2015), the staff is professional, and the food/drink selection is great. Whether you are playing or just listening, the venue has the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a great show!

The Place in Nashville to catch great live music! Closest youll get to the spirit of CBGBs in Nashville. Gets crowded on the weekends, its behind the offices of the Tennessean. Some kinky bits of food are available: blue hoe cakes, rasta-pasta and pizza.

Enjoyed dinner before watching Jeremy Mccomb on 03.06.16. The fire fries, dry rub wings & fried pickles were all great! Colby was our server. He was very attentive & knowledgeable of the food/drink menus. He even offered tasty suggestions!

Porter has been growing strong for some while, a good venue to host a medium size concert who invite good talent. Sound is good and lasers work great, bar next door along with The outside patio is pretty nice and looks good.

I love this place! Everyone is always super friendly and I really enjoy being able to go and listen to artists play their own music! Staff is fantastic! If you come to Nashville you HAVE to go to 12th and Porter!!

Great song writers night (we went on a Wednesday). Not just country, but a nice diverse mix. It was a cozy and clean bar with a great selection of beer! Definitely recommend!

The building is painted pink and blue, and they have a pirate flag hanging outside. The stage lights are nice, but the people are scary that work there.
