The Tennessee State Capitol Building as well as the Nashville skyline serve as the backdrop of Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. The long, green, spacious Mall is perfect for enjoying a picnic, playing frisbee or catch with friends, or taking a nap under the sun even. The Mall is book ended by a water feature representing the States waterways and perfect for the kids to play in during the summer and a 95-Bell Carillon chiming every 15 minutes with extended play on the hour. This park is one of the top 10 attractions one should take in while visiting the beautiful city of Nashville. As an added bonus, the Nashville Farmers Market runs along one side of the park where one can grab a quick meal from the unique International food court (its always a hard decision choosing which country to grab a meal from.)

This is one of the 8 historical State Parks in Tennessee. Its in the center of Nashville, so parking isnt as fun as with our other State Parks, but it is as diverse as it is small. This park has everything from civil war reenactments to a well kept garden of Tennessee native plants. If youre uneasy about it being in the middle of Tennessees Capitol, know that there are 5 rangers and the park manager on this tiny park. Some parks with over 3000 acres of land employ only 2 rangers alongside the park manager.

I live adjacent to Bicentennial Mall and visit the park every single day. I typically walk up and down the various paths until I reach approximately 3 miles. I love visiting the bicentennial Mall and find it a great place to walk, jog or take a leisurely stroll. You will find lots of tourists visiting the bicentennial Mall as well as tour buses thats stop as part of their tour. The bicentennial mall is located in between the Nashville Sounds baseball stadium and the Farmers Market.

The park is representation of all 95 Tennessee Counties. One side is divided into East,Middle and West with each county having a space and a star for each county seat. The side next to the Farmers Market has state history. The end closest to the Capitol has an amphitheater and the Rangers station. The opposite has a carillon. The parks affords some of the best views of Capitol Hill and parks of downtown. There are big open spaces for frisbee or kites.

great place to go for a walk and enjoy some fresh air. right next to the farmers market so you can have multiple choices for lunch. only 3 stars because this area was developed to lure tourists and locals alike with a cool place to visit, even the new minor league baseball stadium is here, then they decide to tear up the biggest parking lot. good luck trying to go here until something is done about that.

The Capitol Mall is a nice place to escape to while visiting Nashville. Ideal place for quiet reflection, slow walks, observing people and learning some historical facts about your surroundings. Along with that are some great views of the capitol and a lot of interesting monuments along the way that tell the story of Tennessee. Very well-maintained park. Great place to walk at night with your dog(s).

This is more of a question: I am going to bring a friend from out of town to the NYE Free Concert that Jack Daniels is putting on and wonder will there be any handicapped parking? I am in a wheelchair. Id sure appreciate a response to this so I know whether to come early or will there be parking available later on. Any help I will be grateful for. Thanks.

Definitely worth walking by if you are in the area. Its an urban park located close to the capital. Allows for an educational experience via many kiosks located throughout the mall area. There is no actual "attraction" in the mall it makes for a nice walk and informational learning about the history of Tennessee.

This is a 4.5 Lots of good historical info on important local themes and a well executed effort to educate the unwashed masses. Not visionary or ground breaking so doesnt quite get 5 stars. But far from the worst way to spend an hour in this town (cough country music hall of lame), and a pleasant place to stroll.

I love coming to Bicentennial to bike, walk, ingress, and eat. Take note, this is a great lunch spot but nearly all the food vendors close before the dinner hour. Outside wise the park is very clean and well kept, one thing to watch out for is the game day traffic since it adjoins the new baseball stadium.

Many people dont realize that the bell towers actually play music every hour. It is a beautiful experience especially at sunset time. The view of the capitol building is the best from this park. The flea market and farmers market nearby is worth a visit. It also has several restaurants in there.

This is a nice historical park. A free service to visitors where you can see and read historical markers surrounding the park. Just dont let the name fool you; there is no "mall" at this location. You will not find department stores near this park. I recommend this park for a nice stroll.

For an inexpensive, wholesome, and heat-beating family activity, the fountains at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall cant be beat. A short walk from Farmers Market, the water keeps your kids happy and the shaded picnic benches beneath the train trestle let you take a break!

Well built park. Nice stone architects. Nice green trees and birds singing. Taking a walk here really refreshes the stress or fatigue from the trip. Most importantly, parking spots are available for free. Pretty safe part except a few homeless pople.

Cannot express enough what a great time I had with the Jack Daniels New Years Eve bash new location at this park. It rained all night long but I had a blast. Keith Urban, a thousand horses, Styx, and even Nicole Kidman blessed us with her presence

Beautiful downtown park. Home to the Nashville Farmers Market (year round) and lovely paved walkways, formal plantings, fountain that draws tons of kids during the summer. Adjacent to baseball stadium where Nashville Sounds play.

Farmers market is great. Pro tip: park over on 6th, dont mess with the normal lot, youll wait 20 minutes for a spot. This way you jump out, take a speedy wall across the BCMS and your in the market. Simple as a pimple!

Worth making a point to walk through the park as part of your vacation to Nashville. There is a lot to read and learn about the science and history of the region. It is also as lovely as the photographs suggest.

One of the best things to see in Nashville. What a beautiful and honoring memorial to our military heros. Court of 3 Stars, and the farmers market are right in the immediate walking area. Both are amazing.
