When I was a kid I went there with my parents and helped on a day where they were tiling the dragon. I dont remember what little piece I was working on, my memories from then are the memories of a 5 year old, or maybe an 8 year old. Kid memories of helping place a couple of the tiles and a sense of accomplishment that I had created something on the dragon. Its three decades and something later assuming Im remembering correctly and the place is a near perfect toddler pit, although the dragon is temporarily closed and the small to medium kid playground needs some repairs. The fort bushes I remember as a kid are gone... looking back now I cant imagine they did anything but lose kids. The place is a great place to let your kid run, have a wedding event in the picnic areas (done that,) and otherwise enjoy the place.

A nice park right off Blakemore/Wedgwood/31st whatever in Hillsboro. Very kid friendly, it has a great playground and a magnificent dragon sculpture. In fact, the place is colloquially known as Dragon Park. It also has nice little gazebos that you can sit under, and I often will use them as a place to get out of the sun and stretch when I go running through the area. The place also has bathrooms and lots of water fountains.

A dangerous magical place. Dragons and stone mound deathtraps. Not some fakey rubber mass-produced Park for sissie parents who cant handle a scrape or two on the shins. I grew up here and just came back as an old man with my new wife and it still is awesome. Be careful. If your kid gets hurt it is your fault and yours alone.

Its a very nice park with many different views. Great for bike riding, jogging, or bat watching along Waugh. The biggest problem however is parking if you dont live in one of the yuppie apartments along Allen Parkway or Memorial. I can usually find parking along Sabine Street, but on Montrose, forget it.

The sculpture area was closed for remodeling:( The buckets for the sand area are not practical nor functional. Its like they put them their to aggregate kids. The park itself has plenty of shade and a water fountain. Could use more swings. Park was clean and free of graffiti.

I grew up coming to this park so it is one of my favorites in Nashville. There is a beautiful concrete dragon covered in beautiful tile mosaic! Very interesting and unique. A very safe park. Lots of things for kids of all ages to play.

Amazing park for kids! Multiple playgrounds and a cool dragon structure. Tennis courts and picnic tables as well. The playground areas are mostly all shades by trees and they have nice soft flooring (not cement).

Such a fun park! My son loved the playground. Hope they reopen the dragon part again soon. Otherwise, its almost all shaded by trees and next to a school, so it feels very safe.
