Went there recently to take my daughter to a new playground. The playground equipment and layout is great however half the parents there left a lot to be desired. It was moderately busy. A lot of unruly parents yelling, cussing, screaming, and making racial slurs. Too many adults per child. It was like 1 child had 3-4 adults with them, if not more. Saw someone getting mad and threatening people they seemed to know. I witnessed one adult drop their toddler on her head from being careless. Another parent was dragging their kid yelling "stop acting like all the white kids." Never heard that one before.... Heard a few comments I have heard before but cant type on Google. Adults were knocking kids over when flailing and bouncing around. It appears there is a local housing project nearby. The other half of the people at the park were acting normal and you could tell they were also uncomfortable. The unruly groups would start crowding around the different areas and would have no issue about moving and standing in front the swings where kids were already swinging. The kids would have to stop swinging. It just wasnt a fun place to be worrying about if your child was going to get knocked over or having to explain why a person was saying the f word over and over. Davidson and Williamson county have a lot of nice parks to chose from... I would not make a effort to come back to this playground.

If you want to get in shape, stay in shape, feel better and feel beter about your self then Davids Kettlebell bootcamp is what you need. No excuses about I dont have time, Im too out of shape to do something like that or Im too old for something that demanding. Davids KBC is as flexible on scheduling as it gets. Davis is a superb instructor who works with you individually to be sure you are working at the level of intensity that suits your specific capabilities. Ive been working with David for almost eight years and am in as good physical condition as Ive been in decades. Im also offically in the "geezer" category at age 70 so if you are serious about getting in shape go see David. No Excuses!! Joe T

If Ive been here once, Ive been a hundred times in five years. I think its great Nashville has a good-sized urban park like Centennial, but it would be even better if it were planned out like City Park or Central Park size, particularly with as much as Nashborough has grown and folded back inward. (Oh, that vision.) Great facilities such as the MNPS Arts Center, the duck pond, the track, the playing fields, and the meeting pavilion. Terrific swings throughout, and a nice smallish playground. Through traffic can be interesting, and parking can get dicey but certainly not impossible. If anything, this lovely man-made resource is underutilized.

Most come here to see that magnificent and beautiful full-scale replicated Parthenon from Greece. The exterior of the Parthenon is so remarkable and very picture worthy. The first floor of the interior contains many artworks and artifacts. The second floor contains a wonderful grand hall with the largest indoor sculpture in the world, of the goddess Athena. There are many other artworks on this level as well as mythological information. However, admission fees are somewhat expensive but the trip is surely worth it. Once done touring the Parthenon, I recommend enjoying the surrounding park, which is very peaceful and gorgeous during the summer.

Es bastante grande, amplio para caminar, ejercitarse, pasear a los niños, hay parque, jugar pelota, pasear mascotas. .compartir en familia.. hasta casarse. Vi una boda esclesiastica allí al aire libre, frente al Partenon. Hermoso edificio e imponente. Buena réplica del Partenon en Grecia.

I love Centennial Park! Its a great place to walk, run, bike, or hang out. Being centrally located, you can easily spend the day around the park and find plenty of food options nearby. On Saturdays during the summer, the park hosts Musicians Corner, a free live music show with food trucks and a bier garden. Theres also the Big Band Dance under the pavilion (summer) where you can learn how to swing dance for free. Be sure to visit the Parthenon to see the art and history housed inside. There are also 2 Nashville B-Cycle stations in the park for renting bikes cheaply.

Great park! Truly designed to create a sense of community in such a busy city. From their picnic areas to their 1-mile loop, it brings people together in this vast park. Parking is very conveniently places and the roads well situated. Parking and roads are not perfect in design but nothing well ever be. I enjoyed walking it with my girlfriend. If I lived here, I would definitely go for a walk here often. My experience was very pleasant. Everyone around us seemed to be having the same experience.

Check out the little museum inside the Parthenon. Great photo exhibit of the history of the building. Revolving art exhibit always with a quick look. But the upstairs Athena is amazing. Walk all around it, all four sides of you will miss important views. Step behind the wall to replicas of the Elgin marbles. If you have young children all of they have free admission for the family if the child does the kiddies program which starts around 11am. Very fun and worth it if you have several adults.

...then this is the place for you. David Whitleys kettlebell training class will give you more endurance and strength than youve ever had, plus youll lose some of your "extra material" and have fun doing it. Challenging, but exceedingly worth it if youre serious about conditioning. David is a superb instructor, and always emphasizes safety along with proper technique. Ive been in Davids class for two years and cant recommend it enough -- do yourself a favor and drop by to check it out.

Park was pretty and all, but there was homeless people sleeping under trees, quite a bit of dog poop around, and the bathroom was disgusting. Was looking for a good place to stop to let the kids stretch their legs, but nothing really kid friendly there. Constantly having to keep the kids off the grass (so they wouldnt step in dog poop) and away from the lake so they wouldnt fall in. It would be a good destination for people with dogs or adults just wanting to stretch their legs out.

A Great Park to Visit in Nashville. With its iconic Parthenon and beautiful gardens, Centennial Park is definitely a must-see attraction in Nashville for the Nature enthusiast. Additionally, if you have kids, theres a great playground for them near the Parthenon. Theres also some great restaurants nearby, such as Demos in Downtown Nashville, a nearby pizza place, and cheaper options such as Subway. All in all, this is a great part of Nashville that one might call a "Hidden Gem".

Fantastic park! Several areas to walk/jog, play guitar, etc. There are multiple covered areas on the warmer days, and it is a safe environment for small children. They love to feed the ducks in the pond! There is a huge open space in front of the Parthenon museum, about 150-200 yards long, which is great for workouts/yoga, reading under a tree, playing catch or frisbee, or just playing with your furry friend. Always kept clean with lawns/greenery well maintained.
